Amazing dog food, our border terrier loves it, we also use it as rewards for recall. It’s the only food we know she will not get an upset tummy on too.

No issue at all with the product, I am a repeat customer. However I do have issues with the way the company chooses to charge for shipping.
I usually order 4 bags of product to permit free shipping, but am now told that only 3 bags are permitted so I will have to have to pay £7.99 for shipping, even though I intended to purchase 4, as usual. I called the company about this but were unwilling to make an exception on the shipping charge for regular customers. I left the call with the impression that they are imposing this limit so that the free shipping threshold is not reached.

Now updated to 5 stars following a call from a very helpful manager. Due to low stock, they had put a limit on the amount folks could purchase, but missed the interface with free shipping thresholds. They have now promised to refund the shipping charge, as the goods have already been despatched. Very pleased to have that feedback from them, thank you Sabre.

Easy to navigate through the website, payment is quick and secure, items arrive very quickly an dpacked well and tracking is always giving so I know exactly when to expect my order. And customer service are always helpful and polite.. And most importantly the products they stock are great quality 👌 10/10

The company is great, my dogs love the food but it costs a lot of money.. hence only the 4*

Sabre pet food has made so many positive changes to my dogs eating habits and health, highly recommended!!

The subscription service is fantastic and always get orders delivered next day, saves carrying around heaps of pet food while shopping.

The customer support chat is pointless...and it's not even AI...
I keep asking for a feeding guide for a pup with age, current and vet projected weight, fully grown... I get pointed to the puppy range...despite me stating I need the feeding guide for a product I already bought due to my dog literally being way above the guide on the label...
Given this experience, I would not even dare ask for recommendations on which food...

1. Ignoring the fact that the difference is usually the difference between an adult and a puppy of the same product are slight tweaks in formulations (I preferred the higher calcium concentration, considering his age). Are you telling me that whoever answered that chat would have been able to tell me the difference between them more than the label says so?

2. What was the point of repeatedly pointing to the label that clearly was not showing the data? An AI can also say, "The computer says no"

While I admit a GSD crossing the 44 kg mark at 8 months and aiming for a 55–60 kg adult weight is technically way outside the charts, the Regular version is the better choice, in my view. The higher fat, protein, and vitamin levels in the Puppy formula are for the rapid growth phase of young dogs. Feeding this highly concentrated formula to a large breed in their late-growth stage can accelerate bone development too quickly, increasing the risk of long-term joint and orthopaedic issues.

Putting aside the technicalities, not being able to provide proper reasoning why not, besides the label says so, nor does some basic guidance give me any confidence in this brand, despite the good lab results.

What a difference Darf food from Sabre has made in the short period my dog has been fed on. His stomach has settled & no more upset stomachs!!
The price is very reasonable too. We did have an issue with delivery for our 1st order but that wasn't Sabres fault & customer service sent a replacement out!

Wanted to try my dogs on a better food than just extruded kibble and found Darf on Sabre, which both my dogs love, only problem we have is they are Chihuahuas and so need the small bite, which unfortunately does not come in the bigger bags. Been using for about 9 mths now. The ordering and delivery is very efficient as is communication. Will definitely keep using them

Just moved are 12 months old labradoodle on to complete food and he loves it empty bowl 🥣 every meal fast delivery received it in under 24hr and not forgetting he poo is spot on so I would definitely recommend 👌

Have been ordering from Sabre for over a year now and they are one of the best pet food providers we have ever had! Always next day delivery, super helpful team if I've had any problems and have even replaced orders for me when they have been delivered and dumped outside my door that is on the street and then taken. Such a brilliant range of food, all of which scores well on all about dog food and such a reasonable price too! Have recommended to many and will continue to do so! 10/10🐾

I own, breed and show standard poodles and have been feeding primal spirit alongside raw for over a year now.
My dogs are thriving on it. I am so impressed with the quality and the customer service is fantastic too.

I raise my litters on a mix of DARF and raw and the majority of my puppy families have continued feeding this way.

I've been feeding my dogs DARF for well over 12 months now and they are thriving. They love it & it's an easier option than feeding raw (we have previously fed alongside and had no issues) I've tried food and treats from the other ranges and they have all been fantastic. So glad we found this brand!

I've been using Sabre Pet Food for a few months now. Initially this was because they are the UK supplier of Alpha Spirit semi moist which I'd wanted to try to transition my dogs from raw to cold pressed. I've since also used YDOLO. I think both brands are great, and I've had nothing but positive experiences with Sabre as a supply company. Good communication and fast free delivery. One order I placed after 1pm and the food was at my door before 12pm the next day!

Ordered Orygo food which my dog loved, went to re-order and no longer available.
Went for Alpha Spirit the complete one instead, then went to reorder and no longer available.
We wanted a steady supply of the SAME food.
I was recommended you guys however I will now use another supplier, very let down!

Unfortunately I placed a subscribe & save order with them just a few hours before their black Friday sale started. The new offer was 20% off the first order, 15% off the second and 10% off the third.
Customer service were unable to apply the offer to my order and just told me to place a new one. Some aren’t well off enough to he able to spend £250 in one go. After spending £1300 in only 9 months solely on food I expected better customer service I suppose.
Will go elsewhere next time.

We received our package from courier, as per normal, having ordered in advance of us running out. A few days later we then opened the box to have over half the bag spill onto the utility room floor.
Due to other detritus / contamination potentially on the floor we felt it couldn’t be used so we had no choice but to chuck away.
I wrote to customer services explaining that I didn’t think that was good enough; in terms of the poor packaging and the standard of the product when leaving the depot and perhaps that they should have a word with their couriers. Clearly these packages are treated as you’d probably expect.

I never mentioned a refund just that I thought it was poor; considering cost. The customer services team did come back very promptly and politely but quickly said that as it hadn’t been reported within 3 days of receipt then that was just tough. Like many people I suspect we don’t order dog food the day when we run out, we order in advance of us running out for obvious reasons. It’s no surprise - to me anyway - that packages perhaps might be unopened for a few days.

The speed of the response around sorry, you didn’t tell us quick enough was a clear message to me that this is a stock and probably regular complaint. I hadn’t mentioned anything about a refund but they said they wouldn’t very quickly so don’t even think about asking, as it were.

So all in all having been very happy I’m not so sure we are any more and in a competitive space like dog food, I would suggest perhaps the company be a bit more consumer focused and understanding. And probably need to review who they use for delivery.
