This company is run by scam artists, I wish I'd read reviews before have. No one was waiting at airport, had to call and then wait 20 minutes. At the office they requested £1700 for deposit, the card somehow didn't work so manager said post him £500 for extra insurance and we will be ok. Thankfully my wife had started reading these reviews so we just cancelled. They should be locked up

I believe this company is running a scam under the name of a rent-a-car business. They haven’t refunded the deposit they took nearly three months ago, and they charged €300 for a 4 cm scratch. Despite having purchased additional insurance with a company called AXA, I haven’t been able to get either my money or my deposit back. I’ve initiated a chargeback through my bank — it’s impossible to deal with them otherwise. Stay away, they are complete fraudsters.

I have rent a car at the beginning of August 2025. I should paid deposit about eur 1.200,00 at the office.
The deposit should be returned to me within 28 working days, but until now I have not received any money back from the office. I wrote several reminders, but nobody answered to me! Never rent a car be Right Cars!!!!

Die Mitarbeiter von Right-Cars in Antalya waren sehr unfreundlich. Sie verweigerten uns die Abgabe des gemieteten und bezahlten Fahrzeuges, da wir einen kleinen York-Shire-Terrier in einer geschlossenen Tasche mitführen wollten. Zunächst bot man uns an, wenn wir 200,00 Euro bar bezahlen würden, könnten wir das Fahrzeug bekommen. Dann hat man uns aber die Abgabe komplett verweigert und uns zum Terminal 2 im Antalya-Airport zurückbefördert.
Vorsicht vor diesem Vermieter.

Once you finally get to the off airport site they roll out the fees like insurance verification fee and toll fee. $200 extra later you get your keys and go find your car. Never Again.

Ich kann meinen Vorbewertern vom September 2025 mehr als nur beipflichten. Die Kreditkarte meiner Frau (keine Debit) wurde nicht akzeptiert. Das Eintragen eines 2. Fahrers für 50 € wie erst angeboten, sozusagen meine Frau zum Hauptfahrer umzuschreiben, mich zum 2., was bisher nie nötig war, wurde abgelehnt. Durch den 10 Monate zuvor abgeschlossenen und bezahlten Mietvertrag eh schon an Right-Cars gebunden, wurden wir schließlich genötigt eine Zusatzversicherung von über 336 € abzuschließen. Sowohl der ursprüngliche Vertrag als auch die Zusatzversicherung wurden über die Kreditkarte bezahlt, das war dann doch möglich. Zusätzlich 100 € Kaution in Bar hinterlegt. Dafür bekamen wir einen Panda Diesel mit über 214000 km auf der Anzeige. Laut ursprünglichem Vertrag über Check24 hatten wir einen Benziner bestellt. "Enjoy Travel", die Firma aus England, die Right Cars vorsteht und auf dem Briefkopf des Vertrags steht, meint, man könne sie ja entsprechend bewerten, wenn man nicht zufrieden ist. Check24 meinte bei einem Telefonat vor Zahlung der Zusatzversicherung, sie können nichts tun aber man solle alle Unterlagen einreichen. Hatten wir, jedoch ohne Erfolg. Die junge Dame am Schalter von Right Cars absolut unfreundlich, beschwerte sich darüber, dass wir das Auto am Abreisetag aufgrund des frühen Abflugs bereits um 5:00 Uhr morgens abgeben. Sie meinte, sie würde dann nur wegen uns so früh ins Büro fahren, sei aber nicht sehr glücklich darüber, schließlich kam sie einige Minuten zu spät, ein weiteres Ehepaar wartete mit uns. Wenn man über Check24 bei Right Cars bucht, dann soll der Vermieter doch die Buchung ablehnen, wenn die Belegschaft nicht so früh aufstehen will. In den vergangenen etwa 10 Kreta-Besuchen bei den verschiedensten Mietwagenanbieter, gab es bisher nie Probleme. In Zukunft direkt beim Anbieter, dann keinesfalls bei Right Cars oder einem Makler/ Zwischenhändler wie Check24.

Wooow, this was an experience. If not the worst, definitely one of the worst.

We booked a car and added the “Super Insurance Cover”. We assumed Right Cars had their own facilities, but soon realized that in Iceland the rental is handled by “Nordic Travel Group”.

After a fantastic trip, we returned the car. The staff immediately pointed out a scratch (to this day we have no idea how it happened – probably someone passing by the car). We stayed calm, thinking: “Well, we bought the best possible insurance, so no problem.” But when we mentioned the insurance, the response was: “Yes, but we are only a partner of Right Cars. You have to pay for the damage first, and then claim the money back from Right Cars.”

That’s when the nightmare started. Getting money back from Right Cars was almost impossible. It took me nearly three weeks to even get a reply – and only after I threatened them with a chargeback through my card issuer and escalation to the European Consumer Center (ECC).

After that, things finally started to move.

My best advice: If you face the same problem, go straight to your Mastercard/Visa and request an investigation. Tell them the company took money without justification. Visa/Mastercard will then open a case and require evidence from both sides.

Nordic Travel Group – You should seriously consider your reputation. Is it wise to work with a company like Right Cars, which is clearly not trustworthy?

We booked a Volkswagen Golf (gasoline) through DiscoverCars for 12 days in Crete and fully prepaid online, including insurance. What should have been simple and transparent turned into an absolute nightmare with RightCars Crete.

When we arrived to pick up the car, instead of providing the reserved Golf, the staff pressured and intimidated us into signing a completely new contract. They told us directly that unless we immediately paid an extra €288, we would lose our entire prepayment and be left without a car at all. This was not presented as a choice. It was forced on us. Staff even shouted at us, making the whole experience extremely aggressive and stressful.

Under this pressure, and with limited English, we had no choice but to sign and accept an Opel Astra diesel – a car we never booked, never wanted, and which is not equivalent to the Golf petrol we had reserved. This felt like outright fraud and coercion.

It is true that our €100 deposit was later refunded, but the €288 we were forced to pay has never been returned. On top of that, their claim that we received “free assistance” is a complete lie – we did not receive any additional service whatsoever. At no point were the conditions or reasons for these charges properly explained. We were simply bullied into paying.

The impact was enormous: instead of enjoying our trip, this ruined our honeymoon. We spent days stressed and frustrated, not knowing if further problems would appear when returning the car. This company completely destroyed the peace of mind we had paid for.

To make matters worse, when we later looked at other reviews online, we saw many other customers reporting the exact same experiences: forced extra payments, aggressive staff, cars not matching the reservation, and no accountability. This clearly shows it is not a mistake or miscommunication – it is a recurring scam built into the way RightCars operates.

We are still trying to get a proper resolution through DiscoverCars, but RightCars refuses to take responsibility. Their conduct is shameful, unprofessional, and fraudulent.

If you are considering renting a car in Crete: avoid RightCars at all costs. Do not risk your money, your vacation, or your peace of mind with this company.

When booked said in terminal but means guys in terminal to pick you up (which he wasn't ) and take you to a remote location. Had a few credit cards none worked so said need to take out extra insurance at a cost of 140 euros. Said but my cards don't work and by a miracle suddenly works.Since heard later and looked at other reviews this is normal procedure for these scammed.i have received a refund from my credit card company.

An den besagten Tag habe ich den Wagen zurückgeben. Mir wurde Schaden an der Tür berechnet, den ich nicht verursacht habe. Leider ist es nicht immer möglich, alle Seiten und Ecken eines Fahrzeugs zu fotografieren und dokumentieren. Man geht auch davon aus, daß es sich um eine seriöse Firma handelt, und daß so eine Unterstellung einfach nicht möglich ist. Leider habe ich mich getäuscht. Nach dem ein junger Mitarbeiter der Firma Right Cars sich mehrere Minuten Zeit genommen hatte um alle Seiten des Fahrzeugs zu überprüfen, hatte ich den Eindruck, er sucht irgendwas am Fahrzeug, um zusätzlich Geld zu kassieren. Und da war er erfolgreich: ein winziger Kratzer an der Fahrer Tüerkante, von einigen Millimeter, die schon bei Anmietung vorhanden war, wurde in Rechnung gestellt: 150 Euro - für nichts.
Seit Jahren miete ich Autos am Flughafen Zagreb, mindestens 3 mal pro Jahr für mehrere Wochen - und hatte bis heute bei anderen Anbietern immer die beste Erfahrung. Leider waren diese komplett ausgebucht, so entschied ich mich den Wagen bei Right Cars zu mieten - zum ersten Mal. Riesen Fehler! Zu dieser Gruppe gehört Sicily by Cars und Nova .
Hier noch um alle rechtliche Unstimmigkeiten zu klären: es handelt sich um Betrüger!
Es war das erste und das letzte Mal hier einen Fahrzeug zu mieten.

Legale oplichters. Nadat je aankomt word je grof behandeld waardoor de gene die je ophaalt boos wegrijd zonder dat ze je meenemen en de reservering annuleren. Je belt de kantoor en vertelt wat er gebeurt en die geeft aan dat je met taxi naar kantoor kan komen en dan geef hij aan dat hij het oplost. Wanneer je aankomt bij kantoor geven ze je door dat de creditcard geen betaling kan blokkeren waardoor je reservering toch word geannuleerd en je geld word geïncasseerd en je krijgt geen cent terug omdat de creditcard niet werkt. Maar de creditcard werkt gewoon. Dit is een spelletje die ze spelen waardoor je toch een auto moet huren bij een ander bedrijf om te kunnen bewegen. Ze maken misbruik van mensen. Right Cars/Active Cars zijn de zelfde bedrijf en zijn oplichters

A fuir, a Heraklion c est des arnaqueurs. Caution de 1400€ pris abusivement sans facture en plus !! Voiture louer a plus de 200000 km avec gros problème de ventilation constamment en route et anormalement au ralenti et peur de tomber en panne et siège cassé. Sensation que tout était orchestré à la restitution du véhicule car le personnel a regardé sous le bas de caisse direction où il y avait des micros rayures certainement déjà la avant.Donc facturation abusive et surtout arnaque à l assurance.

The police in Antalya should take action, fine the company, and imprison those who work there for this type of fraud. They should be given a severe punishment so that they never deceive people again.

Wychodzimy z lotniska. W ręku mamy kartkę z informacją, że przedstawiciel Right Cars będzie na nas czekał przed wyjściem. Nikogo takiego tam nie ma. Jest bardzo dużych innych osób, które czekają na pasażerów, ale przedstawiciela naszej wypożyczalni nie ma. Temperatura wysoka, słońce, etc. Próbujemy się skomunikować Z Right Cars przez whatsapp. Ale nic z tego. Dzwonimy na numer telefonu ale nkt nie odbiera. Prosimy przygodnych ludzi o pomoc, dzwonimy nawet do EconomyBookings, ale spotkać się nie udaje. Po godzinie udaje nam się dodzwonić i umówić na lotnisku.

W biurze bardzo długo trwa wypełnianie dokumentów, Dajemy panu prawo jazdy, paszport, i kartę kredytową. UWAGA … jeśli to czytasz nie dawaj pracownikom wypożyczalni do ręki karty kredytowej.

W międzyczasie pojawia się Pani, która chce zwrotu depozytu. Ponoć czeka na to od pół roku ….

W końcu pracownik informuje nas o tym ile kosztuje pełne ubezpieczenia.. Nie kupujemy bo mamy własne kupione przez EconomyBookings. Pracownik prosi nas o użycie karty w celu zablokowaniu depozytu. Ale nie pokazują mu się jakieś opcje na terminalu więc nie próbuje nawet od nas go pobrać. Twierdzi, że mamy złą kartę kredytową (karta jest OK, w tym roku blokowano na niej depozyt w wypożyczalniach 3 razy).

Sytuacja patowa. Jesteśmy wywiezieni do biura wypożyczalni. Nie mamy samochodu, NIe znamy terenu. Pracownik podaje nam dokument rezygnacji z wypożyczenia. NIe wiemy czy nam EconomyBookings zwróci pieniądze (płaciliśmy z góry). Próbujemy się z nim dogadać, ale jest nieprzyjemny. Obraża moją żonę, która mu pokazała złe opinie o jego wypożyczalni. Córka płacze.. W końcu udaje nam się po targowaniu kupić za 300 EURO pełne ubezpieczenie na samochód i zacząć wakacje.

Dostajemy stare Clio. Z wypalonymi na siedzeniach dziurami po papierosach. Z pustym bakiem. Cały czas pali się kontrolka ciśnienia powietrza w kołach. Później odkryjemy jeszcze, że maska nie domyka się. Auto jest bardzo głośnie. Na drogach szybkiego ruchu jest to bardzo dokuczliwe. Winna jest niedomknięta maska. Pracowank gasi nam tą kontrolkę, ale na chwilę. Nie wracamy już tam. Nie chcemy mieć z tym człowiekiem nic do czynienia.

Po dwóch tygodniach oddaję auto. Następnego dnia z mojej karty kredytowej ktoś kradnie środki. Najpierw 25 zł. Potem 200zł. Blokuje kartę. Następnego dnia 800 zł. Nie wiem czy winna jest tu wypożyczalnia. Ale … tylko oni mieli moją kartę w ręku i dość dużo czasu aby skopiować z niej dane.

Nie polecam tej wypożyczalni. Ale dodam, że podczas naszego pobytu w Anatolii to był jedyny przypadek tak okropnego zachowania, naciągactwa i prawdopodobnie kradzieży. Czyli ta wypożyczalnia to zapewne wyjątek. Turcy są bardzo mili i gościnni.

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!
Leider habe ich mir die Google-Bewertungen erst nach meiner Ankunft angeschaut, vor Ort war ich dann schwer enttäuscht. Reiner Betrug und ein völlig defektes Fahrzeug! Das Auto wurde mir ohne jede Kontrolle übergeben. Sicherheit? Gleich null! Die Reifen waren abgefahren und platzgefährdet, kein Wischwasser vorhanden, die Bremsen defekt.

So etwas ist lebensgefährlich. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen!

Biggest SCAM!!! We arrived in the evening in Antalya because our flight was delayed. We go every year to Turkey and every year we take a rental car. Never had any issues.. until we rented a car with “Right Cars” or also under the name (office) “Zezgo Car Rentals”. They picked us up at the airport, 45min to late, and they drove us to a abandoned street to their office. They had a huge list of prices when sometimes breaks down on the car. When doing the arrangements for the deposit, they claimed our credit card wasnt working. Weird because we use this card every year for deposit. Only option was to pay this cash, which we didn’t do.
They claimed we need a local insurance because a global insurance wasn’t enough.
They left us stranded in the middle of a abandoned road at 1:00 in the middle of the night. We had to take a taxi back to the airport.
Conclusion: AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, hier nicht zu buchen. Erstmal wird versucht, einem eine Versicherung für 168€ aufzuschwatzen, da angeblich die in Deutschland abgeschlossenen Versicherungen nicht ausreichen. Nachdem wir es abgelehnt haben, würde die Dame pampig und sehr schlecht gelaunt. Das Highlight war die Bezahlung der Kaution. Kreditkarten mit Debitfunktion werden nicht akzeptiert, sodass man gezwungen wird, die Versicherung abzuschließen, da man sonst das Auto nicht bekommt. Die Dame ließ nicht mit sich reden und hat den Vertrag vor unseren Augen zerrissen und uns nicht mehr beachtet. Sowas habe ich davor bei Autovermietungen auf Kreta noch nicht erlebt. Mussten leider den Wagen nehmen, da zu der Zeit kein anderes Kfz verfügbar war. Dafür mussten wir 100 € in bar hinterlegen und die Versicherung für 168 €, bezahlen. Komischer Weise wurde hier die Kreditkarte akzeptiert. Die ganze Abwicklung war übel launig und in keinster Weise kundenorientiert. Und bitte auch keinen Sand im Auto hinterlassen, sonst zahlt man noch mal 80€. Definitiv lieber mehr zahlen, aber einen besseren Anbieter wählen. Dieser hat nicht mal einen Stern verdient. Nie wieder!
