They illegally have it stated in there policy to not contact your bank or open a dispute with them, always remember your rights you don't even have to tell them you're opening a dispute just do it, because there's no way to directly cancel your order from there site, they try to bm you and waste your time waiting for the 90 day release to come around so you can't open a dispute and after then they got your money, contacted my bank day one within 10 days this company sent me a very whiny email, because I got my money back and blah blah, don't trust these terrible people many years later still scammers who use ebay

Horrible merchandise and I have to argue about your damage goods

I purchased a refurbished DSi LL and 'New' 3DS LL from Retro vGames. I am not happy, scratches on body and screens on the DSi are quite yellowed. The 3DS touch screen is very well used. I don't expect perfection but I got one from AliExpress for similar price and it looks brand new! They are overcharging for the condition these are in.
As far as I know these were shipped directly from a Japan source as per packaging I received and are not vetted or quality controlled by Retro vGames. They are not worth returning as they will not pay for return shipping from Canada and make it a laborous process. Instead I'll be fixing them up and reselling at some point.
They are reset to factory default and the 3DS didn't include any base microSD card, and battery was not holding much charge so I had to replace it by removing back...the screws seemed shot or not really secure.

If I could give this company ZERO stars, I would. My experience with Retro vGames has been nothing short of an absolute nightmare, and I am sharing this in hopes of preventing others from falling victim to their deceitful practices.

On January 10th, I finally found and ordered Wii Sports Club for my autistic son – a game he cherishes and asked for as one of only two Christmas gifts. After searching extensively online, I found Retro vGames, which appeared reputable with a 4.6-star rating. Little did I know, I was about to be scammed out of $109 and put through the most frustrating customer service experience imaginable.

The Scam Unfolds:
The website promised 5-7 day shipping, but the package never arrived.
Their chat system provided me with a fake tracking number, claiming the package would arrive on January 27th.
On the 27th, USPS marked it as “delivered” – yet nothing was received.
I contacted their horrendous customer service, and after struggling to understand a heavily-accented representative named “Harry Wilson” (clearly a fake alias), I was given a NEW tracking number that suddenly claimed the package was actually delivered on January 21st.

Problem?

I have security cameras monitoring all deliveries. There was no package on the 21st.
No notifications from USPS. Nothing was delivered.
Their Ridiculous “Resolution” Process – AKA More Scams
I was instructed to file a USPS claim and provide a service request number #. Done. No response.
I followed up, only to be told to now file a police report.
I went through the trouble of filing a report at the police station and sent it to them. Their response?
"We will reship and provide a new tracking number."
Guess what? So far. No tracking number. No package. No refund. NOTHING.
They also manipulate reviews! – Don't Trust Their Google Rating! 4.6 is BULLSHIT!!
Retro vGames floods Google with fake 5-star reviews to appear trustworthy. A quick look at BBB, TrustPilot, and Yelp tells the REAL story – they have an "F" rating on BBB with dozens of complaints identical to mine.

The Bottom Line:
They lie about shipping.
They provide fake tracking numbers.
They will run you in circles until you give up.
They steal money from honest people.
They crushed my son’s excitement for his favorite game.

STAY FAR AWAY FROM RETRO VGAMES! DO NOT RISK YOUR MONEY! If you’ve been scammed, dispute the charge IMMEDIATELY and report them to the BBB.

Do not do business with this "company". They attempted to buy a game from my eBay store. They wanted me to ship the game directly to one of their customers without any of my info / packing slip. Their customer paid $45 for a game that Retrovgames tried to buy from me for $20 on eBay. A $25 markup for them being nothing more than being some useless middleman.

It would have been bad enough if they had the game shipped to their store and then resold it to some poor unsuspecting buyer for a ridiculous markup and lied about cleaning/refurbishing (the DKOldies business model). I can't control what they do with the game once it is in their possession, and I guess people are foolish enough for fall for the con. However, what Retrovgames does is worse. This store sells games they never have in their possession, and then they try to find a copy after the purchase is made, while making that seller do all the work. The fact that they have "Only X left in stock" on their website is a joke, and proves that their whole business model is all smoke and mirrors.

This is what they have in the description for my game on their website-

"The game is fully tested & guaranteed to work. It's the cartridge / disc only unless otherwise specified. It's the authentic cartridge. If you would like to know before purchasing, please contact our customer service.
This game cartridge Cleaned Tested and Guaranteed to Work!"

How would they know it's clean, tested, or authentic? They never touched it. This is why they have so many complaints about poor quality control from customers on here. I take good care of my stuff and I make sure everything is packaged perfectly, which you can't say about every other person shipping out stuff on eBay. Especially when the employees at Retrovgames probably try to focus on the cheapest eBay listings to maximize their profit for doing nothing.

I repeat. Do NOT do business with these scumbags. And when they eventually change their name AGAIN (They used to be Retrolio) because too many people find out what a scam they are, don't do business with their new company either.

I received a Nintendo 3DS and It works great...

It’s a scam. They don’t answer to your emails after you have bought from them. There is no way you can leave review on their website so probably all reviews on the website are fake. I bought nes paid hefty for it and then I had to search and buy the compatible converter just to find out that it still doesnt work . Probably already broken. Do not buy from here

purchased a “refurbished” new 3ds wasn’t aware it would be dropshipped and shipped from Japan for that I would’ve just bought from Japan on eBay myself for a much lower price not only did they overprice their item when it arrived today it was filthy the top screen is partly discoloured and yellow and the bumpers have scrapes in the plastic on top of that the whole system is just scratched up they didn’t even send me a proper charger I got some knock off one not “refurbished” at all smh

Update: I filed a dispute with my bank, texted them and told them to take this up with my bank from now on, and they called me within the hour and said they would email me a return label in the next 2-3 days and issue me a refund. But told me I had to cancel my dispute. I told them I would only cancel the dispute once they issue the label and when they issue the label I am going to expand that I won't be canceling the dispute until they issue the refund because their excuse for not working with the bank is that "my refund will take months", well I have months to wait.

Well you can't call me a competitor and you can't just dismiss my experience.

I bought a resident evil game from this company. They shipped me out a blank disc in a clear cd case that didn't look anything like what they were advertising and now are completely avoiding me. I refuse to accept this. I have already filed a chargeback with my bank. It's companies like these that give every small company a bad name and make everyone, including me, just give up and stick with resellers on mercari and ebay. I am super pissed off. Not only do I not have my game, but now I am paying again for another copy of it and having to wait longer for it to get here. I hope someone sees this review and doesn't make the same mistake I did by ordering from this fake a$$ "company"

I order a white 3ds xl and they sent me a red one. If the color I ordered wasn't available, they should have told me that and given me the opportunity to either choose another color or cancel the order. Instead, they just took my money and sent me whatever they wanted. I tried contacting them to see how they would resolve the issue, but have heard nothing back. I don't recommend ordering from this company.

Update: They got back to me today via email, attempting to defend their practice of not notifying customers when the item ordered is unavailable and just sending whatever color they happen to have in stock. Unacceptable. They should notify customers of the situation and offer an opportunity to cancel the order. They did not address my question of whether they offered free returns (since they sent me an item I didn't order.) They mentioned nothing about their return policy, so I'm guessing they don't accept returns even when it's clearly their own fault. Shame on them. It's a shady business, people. Stay away.

They sent the two ordered video game consoles but did not send the ordered game. They included cheap non original chargers and one was cut in half.
I’ve reached out numerous times to have them send me the game I paid for and at this point they have stopped answering me.

Awful shipping times (could be from the holidays), terrible communication, and didn't give me what I ordered exactly. I ordered a new Nintendo 3DS XL and I received a new Nintendo 3DS LL which is a Japan region locked version of the XL but it was jailbroken so it could be played in the US. A terribly scummy practice but I was jailbreaking it anyway. 3DS was in good condition

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!! I ordered a 3DS XL with two Pokemon games and they sent me a poor DSi with no games. Avoid this place at all costs. They are scammers

Just like everyone else, I ordered a game for $150. A week later, after saying it was shipped, the order was cancelled and the price for the game went up to $250. Scam city. Stay away

Awful store, scammy practices, abysmal customer service. Very unethical business that canceled my order and jacked the price up when I bought the game fair and square. Stay away. This isn’t the first time I got burned by them! They held onto an item and never updated my order when I purchased a new 3ds xl, instead of receiving a NEW 3ds xl I got an old 3ds xl instead. So I returned it and they kept ahold of my money.

Had a game listed at 30, then because of stupid social media popularity didn't honour someone's order and jacked the price up to over 200 and now listing this game is on offer down from 300 😂 You can't make this up, avoid these scammers at all costs.

Yo, now they're trying to claim that all negative reviews are competitors. Okay, boomer. Like any reputable game store would give two shits about a shady business like RetroVGames. My one friend Ed said he once went to another location and it was in the ghetto and right outside were these gangster guys who looked like Paulie and Chrissie and he's pretty sure they were dumping a corpse into the dumpster while he was buying a copy of Halo 3

SCAM. This shady, overpriced, dropshipping store purchased a GameCube game from me on eBay and sent it to a completely different address many states away from their physical store location. This is because they did not have the game in stock in their store and someone purchased it on their website, where they have it listed for $30.97. They bought the same game from me for $12.37 shipped, and had me ship it directly to their buyer, meaning they profited $18.60 off a game they did not have in stock but told the buyer that it was in stock anyways. Mind you, the pricecharting (aka average ebay sold value) for this game is $10, so these clowns are charging 3 times market value on their website, so I assume the prices in their physical store are just as horribly overpriced. Do not support this store/company in any way, they are clearly just into retro games to rip people off and make money and are not actually enthusiasts of the hobby in any way. Any game store that cares about their reputation and positively contributing to retro gaming would not scam like this with 3x pricing over market value and drop shipping.

I bought a Psvita from this website and when I finally got it my screen just broke and went dim and started glitching while I was using it. Not only that but the packaging was terrible it came wrapped in a bag as if it shouldn't be treated as a fragile product
EDIT: I also discovered that the screen has lots of blackspots and I now have to angle my screen to be able to barely see anything. The company is telling me there is a slim chance of a product being broken yet there are multiple reviews which say they send broken and faulty products they wasted my time and they are STILL sending me offers to buy vita games from them to play on the faulty product they sent me, it's as if they're rubbing it in my face
