Responsive and reliable with a personal touch
Like their name, they are truly reactive and were made to feel like valued personal clients, in spite of needing to make a claim.
I had a problem with my CH boiler which was tripping out the electrics, and from the time I reported the fault they kept me in touch with what was happening at every stage. A CH engineer arrived a few hours after calling and was extremely thorough in discovering the fault. It needed a new fan and quickly sourced a new one, but as this was a Friday it was not available until Monday. By lunchtime, it was fitted and tested.
We also had a problem with a Sky box, and we were talked through various remedies until removing and re-connecting the cables worked without needing an engineer to call.

It would have been 5, but neither the engineer or myself thought to check tv aerial, after adjusting my satellite dish, for reception on Freeview tv, so I do now get just a little interference occasionally.

It is very easy to be overtly negative at times when dealing with various companies . Wires get crossed etc , but I also believe in leaving the highest feedback possible praising the good work and input showing when companies really do care about their customers.

Service is going downhill fast
I have been happy with Reactive for a couple of years, but the customer service has now fallen off a cliff. I have 2 rental properties with Reactive landlord cover. For the first property in Yeovil, there were numerous issues getting an engineer to attend. Reactive seem to pass the service request to a 3rd party engineer, but never check that the service is actually booked and completed.
At least 6 calls were needed to arrange an engineer. The first 5 attempts failed to get an engineer on site. Whilst I could forgive this as an isolated incident, the same problems have now occurred with my other property in Essex, with 2 failed requests before the call centre took proper ownership of the problem and made sure an engineer was booked. The first property cover has now been moved to an alternate company, any more issues and the second will follow.
This simply not good enough.
I tried to find a contact point for escalation in Reactive, but without success.

Very Quick repair
I would give reactive insure 5 stars as they wasted no time and was quick in contacting an engineer. My washing machine was working within a week.
They kept me updated and customer service was very helpful.

Unbeatable service.
Engineer had appointment to service our boiler (included in policy cost - very good value) and was running a bit late but kept us up to speed with his expected arrival time with several calls. That was appreciated as we did not have to sit there wondering when or if he would arrive.
Testing the CO2 output from boiler showed level too high. Ben diagnosed the problem, pointed out the damaged part needing replacement and very apologetically told us that he would have to turn off boiler until replacement part could be fitted. It was the coldest day of the year so far, but he had no option. (If I had insisted “No”, he was legally obliged to call gas supply company who would then cut us off from the road, and possibly several neighbors also)
Ben kept us advised on progress sourcing part, which would arrive the next day. No hot water or central heating that night but we managed.
Next day Ben called several times to update us on his expected arrival time and by early afternoon boiler was fixed and running. All parts and labour covered by insurer.
Great value from the insurance company and great service from very personable and reassuring engineer Ben.

I cannot get hold of this insurance…
I cannot get hold of this insurance company at all. I have just joined and I wanted to chase up whether my insurance policy is active or not. But I trued on different times of the day but nobody answering. The website says 24/ 7. but it is surely a no.It is still leaving a voice message stating about Xmas and New year day opening hours. I cant even cancel it now. Avoid by all means...
Got a very prompt reply after posting my review on Trustpilot and wanted to change my review. The email response to their generic email was received exactly after 10days. Hence cancelled my policy with reactive insurance. Not impressed at all as an insurance company.

As explained to you on the telephone. You called on the busy Emergency claims line and you didn't leave a message. This line is available for Emergencies only and, had you followed the instruction to leave a message you would have been called back, as appropriate, any time as it a 24/7 Emergency line. You then called all the other lines in the sales/admin office, which is closed at the weekends, again without leaving a message. You were trying to find out if your policy was active or not. You said that you had received your policy documents and payment had been taken. You cannot make a claim in the first 28 days of your appliance policy. We still do not understand why you would be in any doubt that your policy would be active or why you have taken an issue with our company. As also explained to you on the phone, all customers are allowed to cancel their policy within the 14 -day cooling-off period from when you receive your documents, without question, which you did with no problem. We are sorry that you were not happy with your experience with Reactive but we feel that it was a shame you didn't even give us a chance.

I have just had 1 report of a fault and the engineer came within 2 days and the engineer came in the afternoon and was quick to fix the fault. No problems since then.
