Terrible. The advisor (Amanda McGovern) was condescending, rude, and ultimately no help at all. There are far better options out there that should be explored by potential home buyers.

I used Ratehub recently to find a credit card that I could use while traveling outside of Canada. Their card finder was super helpful in connecting me with a card which charges no foreign transaction fees, comes with free airport lounge passes, and includes insurance like Flight Delay and Baggage Delay. I've recommended the card (Scotiabank Passport Infinite) to a bunch of friends, and also Ratehub for all their credit card research needs since I probably wouldn't have thought about applying for it if not for Ratehub!

Ratehub got us the best rate - and also the best experience. As first-time home buyers, we had a lot of questions and Ratehub was a great resource for the information we needed. Super grateful that we were connected with Eric as our mortgage agent. He secured us a great rate, guided us through the process, was super knowledgeable and was always available to answer our questions.

We are first-time home buyers and have always thought we should get our mortgage from a major bank. But when we compared mortgage rates, Ratehub had the best one. We were honestly very suspicious of their amazing google reviews but figured the difference in rate was worth a phone call with Ratehub. Man, are we glad we bothered with the phone call.
From the first call, we were impressed. Our agent, Rob, patiently answered all of our questions. He clearly explained what the process would be like, what we needed to prepare, and what we should expect in the current market. He helped us lock in a great rate (and we were so thankful we did when rates went up). He kept us up to date with everything that was happening, so we always felt like everything was well taken care. When we emailed or called with concerns, he was always there to address our concerns (and kept us sane through it all).

In the end, our mortgage closed without a problem. The service we received was above and beyond. I cannot imagine any bank agents being there for us as much as Rob was. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and professional. If you’re wondering if you should use Ratehub I can tell you from our experience that you should!

I first reached out to Ratehub because I was looking to buy a home. The broker I was assigned to, Kevin, was extremely knowledgeable, reachable, and friendly. Kevin was able to answer all of my and my spouse's many questions, and gave us really fantastic advice on what type of mortgage to get. Kevin laid out very clearly what documentation we needed and made sure that the whole process of obtaining a pre-approval and a mortgage was a seamless experience. Having had such a positive experience with Kevin, I decided to check out Ratehub's home and auto insurance. This time, I worked with Kadian, who was also really great. He was able to get me all the coverage I needed at a fantastic rate, and provided much-needed advice all through the process. Our previous insurance company gave me an employee discount, and I'm still saving with my Ratehub insurance. I strongly recommend Ratehub for its excellent, professional, and competent service.

Worst experience, similar to other reviews here. Completely unprofessional, I dealt with the director of Western Canada. Avoid this place.

completely unprofessional, does not give information to clients, and the realtor is putting in more time to do their job.

Hire a mortgage broker that you have either seen in person, or have done a video chat with.

Website does not provide the comparative insurance quotes as promised. It literally teased me, by showing blurry images of prices that I would get, if I proceeded. But, in the end, no prices were given. Only 1 broker phone number was given. I could have Googled that myself. Please stop misleading people!

Natasha was excellent helping me obtain a mortgage! I was able to email or call her at anytime during the process with any questions.

BEWARE: some of the employees of this company say whatever saves their behind, even if they have to lie!
They also dragged out the entire process for months, and we ended up paying a much higher interest rate..
We will NEVER again do business with this lousy and incompetent out fit, and hope many other people will avoid them as well !!

Horrible experience!!! Mortgage agent made a mistake I got a mortgage to find out on the day of a interest hike that the mortgage agent made a mistake. I signed a commitment for the mortgage and paid for an appraisal that the lender had asked for. Mortgage agent I initially dealt with quit and I got stuck dealing with an agent(Mandeep Singh) that was impersonal and seemed uptight. He knew of the mistake with my mortgage application on a monday and waited till Wednesday to contact me to give me the news. Why did he wait that long? For almost 3 weeks already have been working with ratehub and think of time could have been better spent dealing with an competent personable agent. When I first heard the news of the mistake I asked for the mortgage agent to try other lenders and asked as worst case scenario to try an lender. He never contacted the lender until a week later after they had a rate hike. Each time I talked to Mandeep I had to remind him of the conversation we had before and questions/concerns I have. After all this I had a conversation with the team lead Alanna and she had nothing to say about this whole experience. I will never contact ratehub again in the future.

I would like to commend Kaunain Taki for all his help, guidance, professionalism and knowledge. I feel privileged to have met him, even though it was virtually, but the help and guidance he provided me with, made a scary process much easier to handle. Thank you so much Kaunain. You made all the difference!

I thought Ratehub was a good website till I had to use it for insurance comparison. It seems like it has been bought out by one company when it comes to home insurance. It won't start my application and continuously direct me to an ad of a company. If I put my address in that field, it would redirect me to that companies website.
Very strange that Ratehub would not let me start my comparison and force me to a third-party website. Tahts contradictory to what rethub si actually supposed to do.

I goes there, spend about 30-40 minutes to fulfill many pages of info to obtain a quotes, then stopped by program mistake at one of last pages,

and...

no one line type "contact us"

I called by phone number from their letter about registration, when nice women voice told me " NO, NOT car insurance, we're working with mortgages ONLY"...

the half of hour of my life - and as a result I have nothing positive, but their have another one gullible simpleton that can help for their scum, because was ON THEIR site more than 30 minutes...

You get a low quote and when you call the insurance companies your quote suddenly doubles. They claim that online quotes are not always accurate..!
