Long day but worth it!
Daniela was great at shepherding is around. The boat captain provided such great information during the island tour. I wish Daniella would have provided more historical and geographical information about the places we visited.

Fantastic Tour, But a little Busy
It was a brilliant tour and we had a great time. However, it was a little confusing because things were different for each person, and the guides also changed along the way. I just wish I had known beforehand that things would be different for each person. I didn’t need to know all the details, but knowing this in advance would have made things much easier to understand and plan.
It would also have been helpful to know beforehand that WhatsApp was needed for communication. Not everyone uses WhatsApp in their country, so letting participants know in advance that they would need to create an account would be useful.
Overall, the tour was fantastic, and we really enjoyed it. Thank you! 😊

Luis and Abner made our trip from Puno…
Luis and Abner made our trip from Puno to La Paz seemless. Really helpful guides, nothing was too much trouble, patient and kind. It was a comfortable, safe ride with a trip to Lake Titicaca in the middle.

Almost everything went smoothly. I love how intentionally and thought out everything was logistically and the experience itself was fantastic. Will definitely use again if I return to Peru and I will suggest it to others.

Totalmente irresponsables: iniciaron la ruta sabiendo que estaba cerrada y sin informarnos.
Contratamos el transporte Puno–Copacabana–La Paz con Peru & Bolivia Hop por sus buenas reseñas. Craso error.
El tramo Copacabana–La Paz exige cruzar el Estrecho de Tiquina. Ese día el viento y el oleaje habían provocado ya varios cierres. Pese a conocer la situación, nadie nos informó antes de salir de Copacabana de que la ruta estaba cerrada.
Solo nos lo comunicaron tras abandonar el núcleo urbano. Su plan era llegar hasta Tiquina, esperar allí un par de horas por si reabría y, si no, regresar a Copacabana.
Para nosotros eso no era una opción, porque no hacer noche en La Paz significaba perder al día siguiente nuestra conexión aérea a Uyuni, parte central del viaje, con pérdidas de varios miles de euros.
Existía otra ruta abierta hacia La Paz, aunque no la iban a hacer porque obligaba a cruzar de nuevo la frontera. Pedimos regresar cuanto antes para intentarla, pero el autobús siguió avanzando mientras esperaban instrucciones. Incluso una responsable llegó a colgarme el teléfono. Cuando finalmente regresamos habían pasado otros 40 minutos y el cierre del paso fronterizo alternativo era ya inminente.
Nos jugábamos una conexión crítica en la que cada minuto contaba, por su falta de información y demora en reaccionar, lo que nos hizo perder un tiempo decisivo. Aun así, tuvimos que organizarlo todo por nuestra cuenta, de noche y “in extremis” pese a estar solo a 7km y tener ellos que esperar.
Posteriormente, Peru Hop reconoció por email que habíamos tenido que buscar una alternativa por nuestra cuenta y que su comunicación no nos permitió tomar decisiones con suficiente anticipación y reembolso 15 USD/persona. Esto no cambia lo esencial:
Las incidencias meteorológicas ocurren. Lo que resulta inaceptable es saber que tu medio de transporte no puede realizar la ruta prevista y no comunicarlo al pasajero antes de partir.
Esto no es un problema meteorológico, sino una gravísima falta de profesionalidad.

Agradecimos mucho la oportunidad de hablar contigo personalmente y nos alegra haber podido escuchar tus comentarios, investigar la situación con mayor detalle y, finalmente, llegar a una solución con la que quedaste conforme.
Entendemos que la situación fue muy estresante, especialmente porque tenías una conexión aérea importante hacia Uyuni a la mañana siguiente. Sin embargo, también nos gustaría brindar un poco de contexto a los futuros viajeros que lean esta reseña.
El cruce por el Estrecho de Tiquina es controlado por las autoridades locales, y la posibilidad de realizar el cruce depende de las condiciones del lago Titicaca en ese momento específico. El día de tu viaje, las condiciones fueron cambiando durante el día, con cruces que fueron restringidos y posteriormente permitidos nuevamente a medida que las condiciones cambiaban. Esto significaba que no había certeza de que el cruce permaneciera cerrado durante todo el recorrido.
Por esta razón, nuestro equipo tuvo que seguir la información y las indicaciones proporcionadas por las autoridades locales y no podía decidir por cuenta propia que la ruta estaba cerrada de manera permanente ni garantizar que el cruce no volvería a abrir. Finalmente, el cruce volvió a abrir y nuestro bus pudo continuar hacia La Paz.
Entendemos completamente, sin embargo, que esta situación cambiante generó incertidumbre para ti, especialmente considerando tus planes de viaje posteriores. Hemos tomado muy en serio tus comentarios sobre la comunicación y la manera en que se explican estas situaciones a nuestros pasajeros, y los hemos compartido internamente como parte de nuestra revisión continua.

A Great Trip
We loved the comfort of the bus and felt totally safe in the hands of the driver. We were greatly indebted to Louis our guide, without whom would have had great difficulty getting through passport control.
One small point , the time allotted for lunch prior to the trip on lake Titicaca was much too short and we had about ten minutes to eat lunch once it had arrived.

Hannah was brilliant!
Hannah was an excellent guide. She was so informative, punctual and welcoming. I was delighted to travel with her for half of my trip. The extra stops along the way, particularly the slave tunnels, pisco tasting and national reserve were fantastic. Such good value. The only criticism I had is that some of the buses had no toilet roll, soap or water in the bathroom, so this could be improved. The air conditioning also broke on one of the buses so it was extremely hot, but that wasn't anyone's fault, and Hannah and the driver did their best to get it fixed. Overall, a great experience.

It was alright
The fact there is a personal guide was really nice, and the seats were specious. But the bus was extremely disgusting, the floor was covered in food and crumbles, and my blanket was brown and covered in fresh weird stains. For the price i paid i wasnt very happy with this. It was very safe thooo!!

Defo worth as a first timer in Peru!
Our first guide whom we spent the most time with, I believe from Lima to Arequipa, Miguel was amazing! He definetly set the standard high from the beginning. After that point it was less regularly that we took the bus but all guides were lovely and helpful. We went to La Paz and to Cusco. We also liked that we could book activities directly. Mostly, it was the price as any other company. I think as a first timer in Peru, Peru Hop was the right decision. Less planning for us and good leading. I think it was good value for money.
