Awaiting feedback for 3 wells 2 dating back 2 & 3 yrs. Called in several times, will not put me through to thirst dept, agents all say the same thing, nobody returns your complaint. Poor experience with sponsoring an orphan - at the end cancelled my direct debit. May Allah swt accept our intentions of giving to charity, Sadden this is an Islamic charity.

I would give them 0 if I could!
Donated for a well in 2018 monthly transactions going out nothing sent to me regarding the well or emails. I have tried calling to enquire nobody answers and nobody replies back.
It is 2023 the well I chose was £300 and money has been still going out till now! Stopped it via bank but I am disgusted at their actions and shocked at how they use this as a platform to use and abuse others hard work money and our good intentions. May Allah deal with such pathetic and greedy humans who have no fear of the one above! Shame upon them.

Worst experience ever. I donated £300 for a hand pump and put the names of two of my relatives on the sign that would go with the hand pump. The pictures came back a year and a half later with the wrong name. Very disappointing...

DONT USE PENNY APPEAL, IT LOOKS LIKE FRAUDULENT ORGANISTION. I don't do much reviews but this experience made me. Ordered 2 wells April 2022, was supposed to take maximum 9 to 12 months for completion and me receiving the full report on build with pictures, as I did from other organisation, which was done in 8 months. I been emailing and calling multiple times since April 2023, only once I got reply on email and when you call they need to look into it and call you back or manager is not there and will call back. All their lies end with InShaAllah.

Luckily I read the reviews before donating snatching in the company. Will find a another organisation.

Majority of donations are going to private companies and legal fees.

Avoid them .there are many more good charities.
These clowns are fraudsters just simple .. They state 100% zakat policy but in reality is somewhere around 40% a blantent lie. Check the charities commission report
Simple they are using their TV station to propel their lie and scams .. dont be fooled even their ambassador has left

well where do I start? placed an large order for dates and got a tracking number on the same day so thought thats good. but then it never came the next day so i sent an email and was told to contact UPS as they have the parcel. confused I rang UPS and they said they haven't received any request for collection. I then rang someone in their department who claimed the manager said my order will be with me on Tuesday. It is now Wednesday, no order has been received and I even escalated this case but still no response.

Please stay away if you don't want to have to chase for a lack of communication. I wish i saw the reviews before I made a purchase.

Bought some Ramadhan date tins from Penny Appeal this year to gift out to family and friends. Slight delay in shipping due to being overwhelmed with orders (understandable) but the quality of the product was brilliant. Keep up with the good work

I bought Dates from them during Ramadan worth £70. I was very disappointed to receive extremely poor quality dates which were dry and probably expired. They were unedable because they were as if dates were from last year and lost their moisture.

A complete rip off company and I totally agree with all negative feedbacks here. Unfortunately I only looked at the feedbacks after being scammed myself.

Do not give anything, Give to a reputable transparent honest God Fearing Charity who you know you can trust blindly like Imran Khan Charities!! Give as much as you can for the sake of Allah🙏

TO ANYONE WANTING TO DONATE PLEASE READ ALL FEEDBACK BEFORE DONATING TO PENNY APPEAL !

I made a mistake in my rush to donate to the Turkey/Syria appeal.

I had intended to donate through another charity but for some reason the donation would not go through.
I then donated to Penny appeal after doing so I read reviews with regards to Penny appeal and was shocked at the number of negative reviews.
I called my bank, the payment was showing as pending and as such had not left my account, the bank informed that the payment to Penny appeal could be stopped if they (Penny appeal) agreed not to take the money.
I called Penny appeal and had the call on loudspeaker at the same time on my mobile phone I had the call to my bank on loud speaker so the bank could hear the conversation, after trying to explain to the call handler who could not understand what the issue was he put me through to a "manager" by the name of Ahmed or Akhmed I do remember he said he was a chartered surveyor, I asked him to not take my pending payment as I didn't trust Penny appeal as a charity after reading the reviews to which he said that the reviews were/could be fake and that the charity commission would have closed them down if they were not conducting their business in a proper manner and that they didn't give refunds. I explained to him that he was not issuing a refund as the money had not left my account all he needed to do was to verbally agree not to take the pending payment and this was a verbal request that the bank had asked for to which Ahmed/Akhmed the chartered surveyor reluctantly agreed I told him the money will be donated to another charity. It would have restored some trust in Penny appeal had he not acted like some cheap salesman. I have today realised that Ahmed/Akhmed the chartered surveyor is not a man of his word they have taken the money from my account, I have subsequently posted on a family and friends group re Penny appeal and your dishonesty, surprisingly there are many friends and family that have direct debit donations to your "charity" that were unaware of your poor feedback and some had indeed attended the pantomimes that you boasted about as being a success but friends and family agreed with all the negative reviews. Mr chartered surveyor Ahmed/Akhmed for your dishonesty friends and family that were donating to you via direct debit are now going to stop their donations to you and set up direct debit donations to more transparent and trustworthy charity's.
The bank representative heard the conversation in full and in the time I was having my conversation he had Googled Penny appeal reviews and later told me he was shocked that a Charity would have such negative reviews.

Untrustworthy where they have invested interest in their own personal business such at Muslim TV, Single Muslim and others which they use as service providers

Speaking as a former employee, I would highly advise against donating or even providing your personal information (which will illegally be used for targeting you to singlemuslim.com or other shady, low rent websites) to this set of incompetent clowns. The rot is so deep set in this so called charity it stinks, much like the tatty old office we used to have to work in.
Avoid at all costs. Donate to a reputable charity.

Although we gave for the sake of Allah swt it is our duty to know where the money is going. I'm really disheartened that these people have really scammed myself and others who have been trying to do something rewarding. I would trust blindly but I was wrong where the money goes we should know and how it is spent it breaks my heart to know the families the orphans that have not received aid. I have given charity for many years to this charity like many others I also sponsored an orphan. I received a (welcome pack) supposedly. A name age father name fathers job and where the little girl was from didn't receive anything else 2 years have gone maybe longer now never got anything. The people who take calls are absolutely rude an arrogant. Please do not give to this charity do your own research please!!! I wish I had read the reviews and didn't just make excuses for why I wouldn't hear from them. These people do not fear God for every penny these people will be held accountable you cannot cheat God how do you sleep at night pocketing money! Scamming people. I was thinking about a water well till I read the reviews and how they had been photoshopin planks disgusting!

its such a shame that these crooks claim to be "Muslims" because they sure don't act like it . very greedy group of people with fake intentions .its truly sad .

never going to an event by penny appeal or class A events both are horrible .

It is very unfortunate that these people present themselves as Muslims. They seems to be a fraud organization. Never give them your credit card, you will receive illegal charges from them seems to never go away.

I donated a couple year ago for the water well where they built a well to supply clean water. Got told there was a 12 month delay because of covid and 2 years later still nothing was done. I chased and chased and when I finally asked for my money back because I didn’t trust that the well would actually be made 2 days later I got sent a pack with that the well had apparently been built. The build pics and the final install pics look like 2 completely different locations so I don’t trust at all that they have used my donation to build a well at all! Really frustrating and awful experience and would never trust penny appeal again!

I wouldn't trust this organisation. Especially looking into the destination where these funds are reaching. It could end up in wrong hands, turnaround and bite like a snake. I rather donate it through some reputed charity organisation

I have worked for penny appeal for more than 3 years in Bangladesh. In 3 + years I have seen that PA UK's office's directors and couple of other staff grasp donated money through its various partners in Bangladesh in innovative ways. Penny appeal is a fraud organization and they are just wasting the donated money of muslims for their own personal benefits. Don't provide donations to them.
