Terrible Customer service. On hold to ore than 45 mins every time and the CSR has no idea how to resolve anything Dont waste your time

DONT USE THIS COMPANY. I opened an account and transferred some money in. I called 11 days after the transfer and asked why the funds were on hold. They told me it would be another week before the hold was lifted. I tried to log on the next day and they locked my account for no reason. I had to call them twice in this process, both times the wait was 90 minutes
Customer Service was very easy and helpful
Wanted to leave a review as after reading many on here I was worried, but my experience was excellent. For context I have held a PC Mastercard credit card for just over a year, used it in Canada, the USA, UK, France and Iceland and never had any issues. Recently somehow my card details were obtained online fraudulently and my credit card was used to make a fraudulent purchase. I called PC when I noticed this on my account, and they could not have been more helpful. I called the helpline on a Sunday morning and got to speak to an agent almost immediately, they cancelled my card, and issued me a full refund for where it had been used fraudulently. They also talked me through my recent transactions with me to help identify potential sources of this fraud. I was then issued a new credit card. Fantastic service and I would highly recommend.

so i went to a PC financial Atm machine, i inserted my card and got declined for a wrong pin. also declined for the second time so i said ill just check online when i get home, so i went online and notice i have minus $40, i did not recieve any money from the machine, now they are saying that out of those 2 trys , one was declined and thge second they said it was approved. i cant believe they took my last $40 dollars. DO NOT TRUST YOUR MONEY WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! I HOPE KARMA HITS ALL OF YOU HARD!!

Its bad...not much else to say except that. They took my money from my other bank and claimed they didnt and now say they dont have it. Apparently they operate on the mastercard network and do not have their own systems. Getting a supervisor is next to impossible. This is a big problem. Now the onus is on me to try and fix it. Best advise for you.....RUN! DONT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH PCF.
Applied for the card
Applied for the card, was not approved right away, was told they would review application. Received an email saying I was approved and card was sent to me. Upon opening up mail to activate new card , was having issues with online activation so I called and was told they closed the account after approving me through the review process. So basically checked my credit report,issued the card then closed the account with NO explanation at all, was then hung up on after trying to contact customer support . STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE YOUR CREDIT PULLED FOR NO REASON.

There's absolutely nothing that the PC money account can do that can be done at any other bank.
I opened this account through an in person promotion at Loblaws last Thanksgiving. They promised me 200,000 points for just opening the account and making three different and separate bill payments within two months.
There was two different promotions and one including a payroll deposit, however, I said I wouldn't go for that so she said this promotion does not require a payroll deposit.
I had a jump through hoops to get money into the account and then make bill payments to qualify for the 200,000 bonus points.
I called every month and they clarified that it should be added to my account within a few weeks
It was never added, and now they're saying that the promotion required a payroll deposit.
As I stated, I never would've never opened it in that case. I said that from the beginning in the store and every time I called into customer service.
Stay away from this type of banking. Transferring money to and from this account takes way way way too long. It's an absolute nightmare.

You may be approached by someone in a store offering 75,000 welcome bonus points to sign up for a PC financial card. It's a scam as you won't get those points automatically. It remains to be seen whether a vigorous complaint will result in PC Financial honouring their agreement to provide me with these points. They have already hung up on me once, as I'm sure they would prefer not to deal with customers who try to hold them to account.
They can't find my bank account to…
They can't find my bank account to close it but it's right there. They say I don't have an account ending in that number but I give them the account number and the card number and they still can't find it. It's right there.
I've been trying to close that account for a year.
I had a credit card with a $2,000 limit and I've always paid my bills at the end of the month entirely. Have a good credit score and my other credit cards are over $11,000.
They just cut my credit card limit down to 1,000 which is completely useless. It'll impact my credit score because I've suddenly lost $1,000 worth of credit... So my overall usage goes up.
And then they tell me this canned response when I contact them about the factors that led to this.
I had the credit card for a long time at the $2,000 limit. This makes no sense. They're ridiculous and they can't seem to do anything about anything ever.

P c financial is an absolutely terrible institution. They canceled my card for no reason and won't provide me a reason.
And say, it is bank policy that they can close the account whenever they would like. I usually pay my credit card in advanced and 10 to $14000 in advance, and this still seemed to cancel my credit card and can't provide a reason. Terrible terrible customer service employees don't know how to talk to customers or resolve problems.

Absolutely no customer service. If you do get an agent they comprehend nothing. Only regurgitating scripts. They will change your balance to zero even though the transactions show as having balance. Run. Keep it money in your cookie jar.

I had some charges on my account which apparently go back to last year but fraud Department of PC Financial said only goes back 3 months I said ok that's my fault sure no problem , then it got resolved or so I thought !!! I get a call from PC Financial fraud dept saying it has all got to be charged back as it wasn't fraud , well it was not me so I argued for a bit but they said oh well it's valid and charged me back $2001 on my account and I don't know about you but that's a lot of money for me so now I am set back $2001 and I had a family member reach out and send me money via e-transfer but it came off the balance and then my EI payment will come off that balance i owe on Tuesday June 24 / 2025, and my disability payment that goes in there on the June 26/2025 will come off that balance so I emailed customer care and they can't do a thing as it was already charged back to me , they couldn't just wait a few days so I get my money for bills food etc etc and said didn't care at all , so there remedy was to give me PC points worth 100$ but then that charge backs amounts were coming off that balance so it got reduced I have been crying since last Thursday because this has set me back even further ....I am going to lose my car insurance so then I can't get to work I am going to lose my health insurance which I won't be able to get my prescriptions which I am a rheumatoid arthritis person and a type 2 diabetic and high blood pressure I wong be able to afford or get that , my kids won't have any food , if I lose my car Insurance I won't be able to drive to get food even with the PC points I got , I'll lose my apartment , I will be homeless with 2 kids , my power will be cut off if I dont get evicted , my internet home phone cable and 2 phones will be shut off so then I won't be able to communicate with anyone it's such a huge spiral I will be going down I won't be able to get back on my feet and will lose everything over $2000 , coming from a billion dollar company I have a headache and eyes hurt I'm so upset and crying I can't borrow it I can't earn it cause I'll lose everything .....worst bank in Canada ever !¡ They simply just don't care at all

PC Financial has become one of Canada‘s largest virtual banks and they constantly advertise through all the various platforms that also promote the different stores they own. Their customer service is beyond pathetic. On hold for great lengths of time and then getting someone on an international phone line who has a very weak command of the English language and understanding what you are trying to explain to them because they just don’t know. The other day we popped into Superstore to only have the PC Financial rep there tell us how bad it is when she has to call into the toll-free number as well and can’t get any answers. This is pathetic and unacceptable. Clearly Loblaws does not care about providing good customer service, only about getting customers. The other day we were on hold for a long time and then finally got a customer service rep who clearly did not understand what we were trying to solve and then the call dropped and nobody even called us back. Loblaws should be ashamed of themselves as this pathetic so-called customer service will catch up to them. Additionally President’s Choice MasterCard gives you a due date for payment but if you pay on the due date, you are actually late. I have addressed this issue with them several times and they just shrug their shoulders and say that’s just the way it is.

I have been using the pfc card for decades. However one day I got a call from their customer service agent recommending a new card to me. He didn't tell me there was an annual fee. When I found that, two years passed and I lost 4 hundred dollars.
Beware
I have been ill and have not used my PC MasterCard for quite some time. Realized my card was expired so I called. My card has been revoked for lack of use and it cannot be reinstated unless I pay off the balance and reapply for the card again. I was also told due to my age (83) I would most likely not qualify for another card once the balance is paid off. If I don't pay the balance in full then they still charge the interest regardless. Going to pay it off and good riddance. Stay away from them if you can..another money grab by the parent company Loblaws!
Locked out on line because validation…
Locked out on line because validation code emailed was deemed invalid. The code is good for 10 minutes. Second code also invalid. I was locked out in a heartbeat and the website referred me to Customer Support Number. This number, 1-866-246-7262, available 8 am to 8pm ran on a loop, high volume of calls etc. No opportunity to get in a queue to speak with someone.
I called repeatedly, over 5 days; same message.
On day 5, I found an email for Executive Complaint Appeal Office. The email was answered within an hour indicating my complaint had been escalated. I received a call later that day. The account had been unlocked. My issue was no phone access. What if my card had been lost or stolen. Had a lengthy chat with this woman. She had access to my call log, started counting up calls. We both laughed at that but for me it was no longer funny. She asked why call volume had dropped off and I said I could not deal with it, incredibly stressful. I felt like I was throwing myself against a wall. She could only apologize profusely. She admitted to being a PC customer and I suggested she call the support number.
I did get through Customer Support that day, waited in a queue for 10 minutes. Again, profuse apologies.
I will never again be held hostage by the Loblaws Group or a virtual bank. I have been since been approved for a credit card by my "Brick and Mortar" bank.
