This has been the single worst…
This has been the single worst experience I have ever had with a delivery or insurance service. ParcelCompare took my money for full-value insurance, accepted every document they requested, and then spent months delaying the claim while asking for the same information again and again. Each new person who contacted me acted as if nothing had been provided before, creating a cycle of pointless repetition and complete frustration.
After repeatedly confirming they had all the documents they needed, the company suddenly changed its position and refused to process the claim. Their final excuse was that the original invoice was not addressed to the sender, even though the invoice clearly proved the value of the goods and even though this requirement is legally incorrect. Proof of value does not need to be addressed to the sender, and ParcelCompare could not point to a single contractual term, insurance condition or legal rule that supports their claim. They simply invented this requirement at the end of the process.
ParcelCompare accepted the insurance premium for the full declared value of the goods and then created an unjustified barrier to avoid paying the claim. This behaviour demonstrates a complete lack of integrity, consistency and fairness. It gives the strong impression that the company’s insurance is worthless once they have collected the customer’s money.
The level of disorganisation, contradictory communication and refusal to apply basic consumer standards has been astonishing. there is no trust left in ParcelCompare’s ability or willingness to resolve claims properly.
I would strongly advise anyone reading this to avoid this company entirely. They do not protect customers, they do not honour the cover they sell and they do not handle claims with any professionalism.

I wish there were an indicator for a negative rating. My item was stolen/lost, and to avoid paying the claim, they kept asking for unnecessary documents even after I provided the replacement invoice and credit card receipt.

This has been a terrible experience
This has been a terrible experience. My wife sent a comfort box to an former employee in Kenya. They have fallen on hard times and it was Christmas.
The value of the contents was £50. The parcel cost £48 to send. Once it arrived the import duties were calculated to be £94.
So, it has cost us £200 to send some small gifts to Kenya and it still hasn't been delivered in five weeks.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
I paid 5 days ago for a parcel to be sent to the US. There was “site error” claims a helpline assistant which is why I have to date received NO tracking number or labels. Every time I “chat” with the online help I’m told a service ticket has been opened and they will revert via e-mail. 5 days - NO email! I’m horrified and disgusted by the service. And of coarse there is no contact by telephone or email. DON’T GO NEAR THIS COMPANY.

Be very careful when using Parcel Compare, I would definitely not recommend their service.
I sent a hand made gift to my friend in Thailand August 2025. I paid £32 for it to be shipped. I was then told that I had to pay £1,500 for it to be released from Thai customs without any proof or documentation.
I was told if myself or my friend the receiver do not pay, the parcel would be abandoned, I had to settle for this outcome. Now it is February 2026, a payment of £519 was attempted to be taken from my debit card, fortunately the balance was kept lower and it declined. I have cancelled any payments from Parcel Compare with my bank and am now starting contact with Parcel Compare to dispute this.
Be very careful, it is very easy to be scammed by this company without any proof at all.
If anyone has any help or recommendations with this issue, let me know.

Faulty links and no way to contact company to resolve
Completed form online. Sent us an email to complete the booking, but the link failed.
no way to contact them, their links to their contact pages don't work either, so no way to try and resolve. Needless to say they didn't come to pick the parcel up.
Now pursuing refund through credit card company as we have no other options.

So good of them to provide a link that doesn’t work. If the contact page on your website worked, we’d have contacted you days ago.

You only find out how good a company really is when things go wrong. In my case something did and they are not.
I paid them for the collection of a parcel and delivery to an address in Europe. All documentation completed as they required, specifically the sending of gifts from one individual to another.
I received a collection window but they failed to collect it. At the end of the window the tracking updated to 'the parcel was not ready' when the driver arrived. But he didn't. I informed customer services who promised to investigate but I gave up waiting and dropped it off myself at my nearest collection point.
Worse followed. The parcel arrived at the destination country but the recipient received a demand for import taxes as the parcel now carried documentation specifying its contents were from a company in Brentford and were identified as 'Sale of goods'. I contacted customer services to resolve this and they spent the next 8 weeks repeatedly updating me with apologies and ongoing 'diligent' investigation of the matter, but never any outcome. During this period, as the parcel contained Christmas gifts the recipient paid the taxes to enable timely delivery. She even had to collect the parcel herself. Eventually I sent them a formal complaint and the matter was passed up to the Services Manager. His attitude explained to me the source of the failings in their customer services department as he misrepresented the circumstances; did not address the problem of the additional incorrect documentation; waived aside any responsibility for the problems encountered; and refused any redress as 'the actions of the carrier are outside his control' despite his company being the contracting party.
At this point I gave up. My regret is that I failed to read the Trustpilot reviews before I used this company, which I see clearly reflect the inadequacy of this company to handle things when they go wrong.
Never again.

FedEx Issues with parcel shipment to Romania
FedEx delayed unnecessary some of my shipments. Upon contacting Parcel compare customer representative Anshul Kishor, was very helpful solving the issues and delivering the package to destination.
I can't say the same for other of this colleague.

Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service. I would never use them again and I would tell everyone I can how bad the service is. There's no point in getting insurance as you're not covered unless you have a receipt, and when sending second-hand stuff, it's very unlikely to have one. I lost £200 because of your bad company.

Parcel has the wrong address (sender address)on but the correct postcode
No way to correct this without cancelling the order which costs me the price of the whole postage,I haven’t even printed the label yet so I should be able to amend address ..

I returned item then got x3 price of original return price deducted from my bank account one month later. Apparently it was heavier than I stated which is incorrect and they have no evidence to support. Complete scam, very annoying still arguing with awful customer service, you can’t physically talk to anyone.

Absolute disgrace…
I am furious with the absolute disgrace of service I’ve received. The unauthorised withdrawal of funds from my account without any notification and my authorisation, is unacceptable and a complete breach of trust. I’ve been met with nothing but empty apologies—repeated like a broken record—yet no action was taken to resolve the issue.
The customer service here is a joke, and frankly, it’s embarrassing. It’s clear that this company has no idea what customer support even means, as they’ve done absolutely nothing to fix this mess. Monkeys could do a better job for peanuts.
I will never deal with this company again. The incompetence is beyond words.

extra charges 6 weeks later!
Booked a parcel on line. it conformed to size and weight for the price, in fact under in both. Paid for parcel to be collected and delivered 12/12/2025.
27/01/2026 a charge appeared on my card and again two more charges 02/02/27. invoice received stating that additional charges have been applied by UPS stating that i do not need to do anything as my original payment method has been charged!
I have contacted Parcel compare to query this and have been given a ticket number, i have requested to speak to an agent and continuously told there are none available.
What is the point of parcel compare if they offer a price and then charge extra, more than 6 weeks after the original transaction. and charge extra 3 times? looks like a scam!!!!!

Failed collection and no refund
I booked for an item to be collected on Friday, the time had passed for the collection time so I contacted the delivery company. Who then cancelled the collection all together. I have now missed the deadline to get my parcel delivered (yesterday). So I have to take a loss. All I want is a refund. So I contacted the delivery company but because I have booked the delivery via a third party I need to go through them to get a refund. After going round and round on the parcel compare website there is no where to get a refund. I’ve spoken with the chat bot which suggests to raise a ticket. However there is no where to raise this ticket and the support section is no help either.

Wow, just reading the reviews here and it's scary. I used them earlier last year for 1 parcel and it was great, no adjustment invoice or charges. Then I used them again in December and since January, I've received 2 adjustment invoice charges with no explanations. And there is no way to contact them. Very disappointing.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever used.
My parcel was lost, and from that moment on everything went downhill. No clear answers, no accountability, no solution. Just endless delays and scripted responses that led nowhere.
A refund never arrived, despite repeated requests and plenty of time given. Customer support was effectively nonexistent — when they did reply, it was unhelpful and dismissive, as if the problem simply wasn’t theirs.
What made the situation even worse was being asked to pay extra money after the parcel had already been collected. At that point, it genuinely felt like an attempt to squeeze more money out of a situation they had already mishandled, rather than to resolve the issue fairly.
Lost parcel. No refund. No support. No responsibility taken.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this service entirely unless you are comfortable risking your parcel and your money with no help if something goes wrong.

Fraudulently took over £573 from me
Under no circumstances should anybody use Parcel Compare. They have fraudulently taken over £573 from my account in 3 seperarte transactions, not authorised by me. I paid for the original postage cost, and over 1 month later they sent me an 'Adjusted invoice' for £267. They did the same thing 1 month after that. I have tried and failed several times to contact their customer support. This is now being investigated by my bank and small claims court.

If I could give zero stars, I would. ParcelCompare might look like a cheap way to send parcels — but behind that sleek website is a service that’s shockingly poor, frustratingly unreliable, and borderline abusive towards customers.
False Economy: Their prices might seem good at first, but countless customers have reported being hit with unexpected extra charges weeks after delivery, with little to no documentation or justification. Your bank balance gets nicked and you’re left wondering why.
Collection Chaos: Multiple users say couriers never showed up to collect parcels on the booked date, leaving them waiting in vain all day — and ParcelCompare offers no immediate support, phone number, or clear path to resolution.
Customer Support? What Customer Support? Their so-called help system is essentially email tickets that go unanswered for days — or indefinitely. There’s no responsive hotline, and their “live chat” is reportedly a joke.
Loss and Damage: Some customers have reported lost parcels, destroyed packages, and insurance claims that are near-impossible to resolve through ParcelCompare’s labyrinthine processes.
Opaque Billing: People repeatedly report being charged without clear explanation, sometimes for services they never received, and then left to jump through hoops for refunds — with minimal replies.
Frankly, engaging with ParcelCompare feels like paying for a service and getting a blame game, silence, and extra fees instead. If something goes wrong — and according to a large volume of user reviews, it often does — you’re stuck with no one to talk to and little recourse.

Diabolical, disgraceful, fraudulent company
Diabolical attitude to customer service and disgraceful service based on fraudulent acts and theft. This company responds but this is only to deliberately delay the process without resolving the issue.
I have provided clear information which included video evidence of the parcel, measurements and courier collecting one parcel matching the description logged when booking the collection. ParcelCompare initially stated they are awaiting feedback from the courier, in this instance DHL. However now stopped responding.
This has been going on since November 2025.
This company needs to be reported to Trading Standards.
