Review of Gentrax GSX-2200 Inverter Generater
The unit arrived safely, well packaged. It came with its own engine oil, and this was easy to install. One part of the rest of the instructions was not able to be followed. It comes with its own Lithium battery and the instructions say it should be fixed to the handle of the generator. This is not physically possible, so I had to put it elsewhere. The recoil starter and the Engine Start switch were both used, and worked perfectly. I put a load on one of the AC outlet plugs, and it worked well. Over all, very happy with the unit.

Great experience
Service and communication has been outstanding. Delivery was very quick. Better than expected.
Haven’t been able to test the generator yet but if the experience so far is any indication, I’m pretty sure it’ll be good value

Nice generator at a good price, but...
Nice generator at a good price. My only gripe is that I wish the manual and the generator had a note and a tag to say there was not enough oil in the engine to allow it to start. When I took the unit out of the box, I did not see the small flaps on the box had no oil printed on them (I know right) and that is where my problems started. Because I tilted the generator to get it out of the box, the small amount of oil in the motor covered the dip stick. I followed the start procedure and checked the dipstick which was covered in oil. After 2 hours of trying to start I noticed the oil light flicker and re-checked the oil level. After filling the sump I knew it would start and felt like a complete idiot when I saw the note on the box flap. The generator basically started itself after this... Please put a bright yellow tag on the generator handle that says NO OIL just like Honda do on their stationary engines and a big note in the manual as it is not there.

Thank you for sharing your review with us, Ted. Apologies on the inconvenience. To ensure that the engine is in tip top shape, there is a a small amount of oil when the gen-set set is delivered. We will share your suggestion to the supplier for future product improvements. Cheers!

Fantastic Service
We could not believe how quickly we received our generator, it arrived 2 days after we ordered it, fantastic service. Only reason were giving it 4 stars & not 5 stars is it's a little noisier than we expected.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with us, Sue. Brand new generators under run-in period generally will be a bit noisy but will definitely settle once the engines have adjusted. Let us know if you need further assistance. Cheers!
