Chelsea Brown, my Opera Beds contact, made a hugely positive impact in addressing my enquiries about adjustable beds seriously, knowledgeably, in such a friendly and helpful manner. Her professionalism and knowledge of her company products was invaluable.
Having some health challenges, her sincerity was apparent in genuinely looking for me to be able to make an informed choice of bed and mattress which would suit my needs. Striking was any absence of sales pitch. She confidently and quietly allows the strengths of Opera's products to speak for themselves.
With no knowledge of adjustable beds, I came across the Good Housekeeping awards link for such beds. Both Opera and Laybrooke, had been awarded. I got in touch with Laybrook first, because they spoke of a high leg elevation on their beds. However, after two response emails from them, my seeking information got no further, only eliciting a continuous bombardment of heavy, hard sales pitch, product emails.
The contrast between the above and Chelsea Brown at Opera Beds response could not have been more different. Advice freely given and every question answered.
It was like arriving at a harbour where people really knew their business. A serious Company, where you knew you were in good, professional hands.
Interacting with Chelsea was such a pleasure - for her manner, her expertise and her ability to communicate well. A quiet assurance and non pushy confidence in her companies products.
My choice of adjustable bed and mattress has brought about positive, major changes and very real benefits.
I'd certainly recommend an Opera bed as a life changer. I feel fortunate that my path crossed with Chelsea Brown. She is a great assett and ambassador to Opera Beds.

Simple website, great products (easy to assemble) and excellent customer service. The delivery service was the only slight issue, as the text message with my 2 hour delivery window from Palletways arrived 8 hours after the actual delivery did, which wasn't very helpful.

delivery dates not me continual changes to reasons product is fines d eventual engineers who installed lovely but as a stroke patient i should avoid stress. opera beds compounded stress after stress. in the end despite formal complaint no mention of any recompense for anxiety caused just refund of fee for 5 day delivery as not met!!

While there were unforeseen issues that affected the original delivery plans, we recognise the impact this had on you and understand your disappointment.
Following the second cancellation, we arranged for an alternative delivery team to work outside of normal operating hours to ensure your order was delivered as quickly as possible on the same day and to minimise any further delay. As a gesture of goodwill and recognition of the inconvenience caused, we also refunded the full £295 premium delivery charge.
We understand that this did not completely offset the frustration you experienced, and we are sorry that you felt your concerns were not fully addressed through the complaints process. Your feedback has been shared internally as we continually review our service and communication processes to help prevent similar situations in the future.

Great service prompt delivery
Choosing the bed was simplified by the helpful staff, the delivery was within our timeframe so very happy. George and Patrick were very polite. They assembled the bed and demonstrated how it can be used including the child safety features and the locking castors. All rubbish was removed from site. A very neat and tidy job. Now waiting for the patient to be discharged 😎

Fantastic from start to finish
Fantastic service and excellent communication from start to finish. Delivered 4 days from ordering, Shaun from the Operations tram called within an hour of my order, offered different options for delivery and we agreed the most convenient. Reminder emails and messages received and delivery/installation team - Darren and Rich - called me on the day to give arrival time, then arrived at exactly that time. Very careful not to damage any paintwork or other parts of the house on delivery, took their shoes off, set the bed up and showed me how it worked, thank you, I have no hesitation in recommending

Amazing service
I was looking for a new mattress for my adjustable bed and I contacted Opera beds. I have a disability which means I needed the mattress to meet certain criteria.
I spoke with Harry who immediately understood the issues. He was incredibly helpful and informative and was very responsive and patient whenever I called with my daft questions.
The mattress was delivered promptly and it is just what I wanted

Going To Bed, Something To Dread.When ordering my Opera bed I was told…
When ordering my Opera bed I was told on the ‘phone that it went down to 8 inches. Unfortunately this did not include the very deep mattress which made it far too high for me to mount if I have another fall.
Being polite, there was a great deal of “confusion” about when my new bed would be installed. I had to make several ‘phone calls and got different answers, which was very stressful given my multiple, chronic medical conditions. The time was critical because my waterbed had to be drained before the installers arrived. I had paid Opera for a specific day and time!
The waterbed was disassembled and all its parts left in our drive. The installers did not remove all the waterbed’s parts (another paid service) and left cut cable ties on the window ledge.
THE MATTRESS IS FANTASTICALLY UNCOMFORTABLE being far too firm. I find it painful to lie on and I get area bruises.
On the side I get in/out of the bed the mattress has jumped its small bed frame moorings so there is lateral movement over the bed frame. Already this has caused me to nearly have an extremely bad, potentially lethal, fall. The mattress is too heavy for me to move back to its correct position.
The fitted sheets take far more strength than I or my 81 y.o. wife can make them stretch to fit on a 3’6” bed.
The 3'6” duvet is unsuitable in width given the considerable depth of the mattress.

Firstly, please accept our apologies for the confusion around your delivery date and the need for multiple calls. We completely understand how important clear communication is, especially when you had to coordinate the draining and removal of your existing waterbed. I’m also sorry that the removal service was not completed as expected and that the installers left parts behind, this isn’t acceptable and will be addressed internally.
We’re also sorry that the bed height was not suitable once the mattress was in place. We understand how important safe and easy access is, and we appreciate you raising this. Likewise, we’re very concerned to hear about the mattress movement and the discomfort you’ve experienced, your safety and comfort should never be compromised.
To support you with this, we’re arranging to swap both the bed and mattress for a more suitable option under our 10-night trial period. This is specifically in place to ensure we can make these adjustments where needed, and we’re committed to finding a safer and more comfortable solution for you.
In the meantime, we’ve also noted your feedback regarding the fitted sheets and duvet sizing, as well as the mattress weight, as these are all important considerations that we will continue to review.

Michelle was so patient! I had looked online & called to ask about an adjustable bed. Not everything they have is on their website so was delighted that I could get everything I wanted. (only problem with finding out was, it started my 'what do I need' process again)! So took a day for me to re-check & sort out what to order. The advice was invaluable.
