Okavango Delta Explorations Arvostelua

Wow and Wow, again!! Such an amazing experience!
The entire trip was organized and seamlessly put together by Louise. I started out by doing my own research and came across this website. She popped up on a chat, asked questions and then she used our input as to what we were looking for and what we wanted to experience. It was a back and forth process over time that resulted in a smooth, effortless and very satisfying trip.
It was great to experience the different lodges, from the more intimate Okavango and Xakanaxa to the uniqueness of Chobe and the “wow” factor of Victoria Falls River Lodge. In the first two, my husband and I really liked being able to sit around a dinner table with other travellers and discuss our days and our sightings. We also very much enjoyed the unique aspect of each, whether it was a focus on land or water animals. The safaris were amazing (we saw SO MANY animals!) and the guides were exceptional. We especially loved the "sun-downer" custom!
Again, I can’t praise Louise enough for her attentiveness, for arranging the accommodations, the air travel, the transportation between lodges and all the extras (eg. the open door helicopter ride over the Okavango; the chopper ride over Victoria Falls-both were amazing). Thank you for creating an itinerary that so well matched our likes and tastes!

Very efficient, informed and proactive.
Would recommend this company.
Everything went smoothly and according to plan.

Wow wow wow!
I want to thank Louise to help us plan our Honey Moon and with all their advices and planning make it unforgettable!
It was amazing the logistics off all the trip! The camps that she recommend here TOP we had such amazing game drives and we were able to see the Big 5.
The service and the food was surprising our expectations.
It was a dream <3
When I´m back for sure I will book it with Louise again

The entire trip was so well organized, an extreme relief as we were traveling halfway around the world, The ideas presented to us were nowhere near the actual experiences, just fabulous! Our accommodations, guides in particular, were unsurpassed in comparison to the many trips we have taken to date. Okacango Delta Explorations was , is the way to go, we are just so pleased that we chose them. A huge shout out to Maxine, she is the best!

Everything including the air transfers were seamless. Camps were great and so was the staf at all of the camps

We had a great time at the Maritaba Safari Lodge. Got good help with the booking and information before the vacation.

Louise did an amazing job of advising us and helping to plan an unforgettable Botswana safari experience!! It was a special occasion- my 50th birthday- and I could not have asked for a better birthday celebration!! Simply magical! I highly recommend working with Louise. She has the local expertise and can help choose the best camps for your specific interests. She also helped by sending us a packing list, important documents, and what to expect every step of the way. She has a great app that helped us stay organized with all our various flights and important information. Thank you Louise and Okavango Delta Explorations!!!

Louise organised our whole trip seamlessly. Overall, we had an absolutely incredible time. We went to Camp Moremi, Xugana and Savute. The Desert and Delta and Old Drift campsites were lovely and all of them were well maintained with good food, good guides, great locations and we loved the differences between the sites.

All of our guides were good, Camp Moremi was incredible for animal viewing. We saw an abundance of animals (saw 4 of the big 5 in one day), and our guide went out of his way to search for wild dogs which we saw the very next day after we told him it was a key interest. The other also guides were excellent.

Logistics and travel between sites worked seamlessly and crossing the border into Zim was a breeze.
In terms of campsites, Savute and Moremi were standouts.

We had to book last minute as another holiday fell through and Louise took time to understand what we were looking for and the holiday exceeded expectations. Answered all my question in a timely way and I found Louise very easy to chat to. They even arranged some special moments as the trip celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.

Louise designed a wonderful 3 week trip through southern Africa for us. We stayed in 3 safari camps, 4 lovely boutique hotels and enjoyed a 3 day trip on Rovos rail. All the accommodations were top notch and all transfers came without a hitch. Because of weather delays we arrived in country 2 days late but Louise was able to adjust the schedules seamlessly. It made for a memorable trip.

Everything was perfect! Thanks!!!

They fully understood our needs and made perfect recommendations. This was by far the best safari I've ever been to, tailored to us and simply exceeding our expectations. Without their help and advice - we wouldn't be able to make this fantastic trip. Worth every penny

Louise Fitzgerald was our main point of contact and did a fantastic job in curating our holiday. We can honestly say it was one of the best experiences we have had, and we have had a few! From the very start we were met, and transferred to each of the four camps she chose. The variety was incredible in terms of the animals, the sites, the experiences and the countries, from Zimbabwe, Namibia to Botswana. Our particular favourite was sleeping in the open on a platform listening to roars of lions, but not far behind flying over the Okavango Delta in a helicopter (the with doors open), tearing through inlets on a boat with Elephants and Hippos in the water, and watching sunsets over the Savanna. Great job Okavango Delta Experiences, and Louise. We will be back for sure!

Attentive, efficient, responsive and overall great service arranging my safari excursion in Botswana. The folks at Okavango Delta were extremely helpful and courteous, answered every question I had, and always kept an eye on personalizing the trip so I'd get exactly what I wanted out of it. They also smoothed any little bumps that inevitably arise when planning a trip of this scope, and thoroughly prepared me for making my safari a fabulous once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommended.

Anna Jonsson was our agent, and she had done great job planning the trip and helping us during the trip.

Louise and her team at Okavango Delta Explorations did a wonderful job organising our holiday in Botswana and Victoria Falls. All the staff wherever we stayed were so friendly and helpful and the accommodations were really top notch. It was an amazing experience and would highly recommend anyone to use this agency and go on a holiday of a lifetime.

OKE answered all my many questions and put together a great trip for us. We had the trip of a lifetime and would recommend using them.

We had an absolutely lovely experience from beginning to end with Okavango Delta Explorations. The interaction with Maxine was exceptional. She was very responsive in such a lovely way to all our questions and put together THE MOST amazing trip for us. It will go down as one of our most treasured memories of a lifetime. We will be forever thankful.

Our experience with Okavango Delta Explorations was outstanding. We worked closely with Louise FitzGerald through email and video conferencing over the course of several months to craft our Botswana safari and stays in Victoria Falls and Johannesburg. Louise was flexible and very helpful and listened to our needs and requirements. The safari was an unforgettable experience. The camps and lodges that Louise chose were terrific accommodations that aligned with our budget. The safari guides at all locations were amazing - they educated us, kept us safe, and shared these incredible habitats with us - and the staff’s hospitality at each camp was warm and welcoming. We were quite well fed and cared for. All of the transfers and logistics went off flawlessly - which is impressive given how much you move around during the course of several weeks including multiple flights and border crossings. An app is provided that contains everything about your trip, including local weather reports, which was a great and handy resource to have. Our accommodations in Vic Falls and Johannesburg were also lovely.
We found that planning a safari for the first time is daunting, but knew that we didn’t want to sign on to a ready-made group tour with the big-name operators. Using this company gave us the flexibility we wanted with all the infrastructure perfectly in place. We are inspired to go again on safari and if we do, we would use Okavango Delta Explorations again to manage our next adventure. HIGHLY recommend!
