In looking at your account, we see your free trial ended on October 16th, 2024, and you were billed for 2 more months as you went ahead and self cancelled on November 16th. Your account will no longer be charged as you successfully cancelled your subscription.
Super fast customer service by Kaitlin!
I was surprised to see all of the negative reviews about customer service, because my experience was excellent. I had issues with not being able to access the features on my account, then attempting to cancel a subscription and delete my account. My phone has been glitching a bit lately anyways, plus I had several "Hide my Emails", none of which were to my actual account. I was confused on where the charge was coming from, especially since I hadn't gotten a chance to use the service and deleted everything. I emailed customer support and got an IMMEDIATE response from an incredibly helpful representative, Kaitlin. She was very quick, very kind, and very patient with me. After trying to figure out where the charge came from, she was able to find an account that I never realized was under my alternate email. My phone often autofills emails between my normal one and my alternate one, so I assume that the issue was my thinking it was the normal email the whole time. Not to mention my phone did not save an account or password with that email, so no wonder the account was lost. As a courtesy, I was issued a refund. Thank you Kaitlin for your help!

I also wanted the free trial for a week, and then forgot to cancel. No reminder. I was charged 95 dollars. I find that super unprofessional. Also, I can only contact them by email. I found phone number and live chat options on google, and none of them worked

Numerade subscriptions include a free trial and are self-cancellable. After the trial ends, the plan is billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All subscriptions, both month-to-month and annual plans, are recurring and will automatically renew after the end of each paid subscription period.
In this instance, as shared in your review, you forgot to cancel the free trial, which is why you were charged. We also see you opened a support ticket with our team which appears to have been replied to the same day. In addition to being able to submit a support ticket at numerade.com/help, we have a direct email at support@numerade.com in addition to live chat.
Clever money grubbing arrangement
Best hope you don't forget to set a reminder to cancel the free trial. No refund is available, and payment automatically goes through, no check up on whether you wish to continue with the subscription like most honest websites. Content is mediocre, and the AI explanation tool is terrible.

All subscriptions, both month-to-month and annual plans, are recurring and will automatically renew after the end of each paid subscription period, as described on the signup flow.
I canceled during the trial
I canceled during the trial, but they didn't cancel it, then they charged for 2 months and wouldn't refund it.

Hard to cancel and free trial is a trap
Subscribed to numerade about a week ago and I cancelled their free trial and they charged me 180 bucks. Scam site that locks answers under a pay wall and answers are not fact checked or reviewed. Also poor customer service I have emailed them every 3 days and they say they're still working on it. Don't waste your money.

Numerade subscriptions include a free trial and are self-cancellable directly in your billing page. Users can also request a manual cancellation from our support team.
Unfortunately, in your instance the free trial was not cancelled before it ended, which is why you were charged and your annual subscription began. The 7 day free trial must be cancelled within the 7 day window.
We also see our team replied back to you the same day with further information- so should there be more questions or concerns please feel free to reply back to us.

The same problem was solved by several persons and totally different answers. And it seems that nobody checks the solutions. A lot of wasted time

Copyright Violations
I am an instructor. Numerade host illegally uploaded content that violates my and my employer's copyright. I have repeatedly requested that this content be removed, following Numerade's guidance (i.e. emailing copyright[at]numerade.com). They are ignoring my requests and don't remove the illegal content. Interesting business model.

Got my issue figured out really quick!
Got my issue figured out really quickly! Forgot to cancel the yearly subscription on accident, had to hit up the support - got a reply within an hour, telling me the refund is going to be sent out within 5-8 days. The site itself is well- organised and the answers with in depth explanations are easy to find for sure- no complaints here, or at least I personally did not find much to complain abot. I've finished the courses for now, so decided i wouldn't need the subscription for the entire year ahead.

I agree with everyone. Totally a scam, stay away and DO NOT sign any free trial with them or you will pay a serious price I did not even sign up I downloaded the app, and didnt put in any credit card information, never got a welcome email or anything figured I was fine but emailed them from my 3 different emails trying to figure out if I had an active account with them... 7 days later I get an email saying to ask questions with then, click on it and was being charged. Tried to show that this account was never used and I did not sign up and they wrote that I had to have paid.... It was an apple download that I didnt submit anything with. So insane and waited days to respond to all emails.
They do not understand the idea of in-app billing and how a credit card was never added to an account nor was a question even asked or the app used.
They also keep trying to remove all bad reviews but thankfully it is not working. Because the customer service and actions of Numerade will not be silenced.

After the 7-day free trial ends, regardless of signing up via the app (through the iOS or Play stores), the subscription plan is billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected at signup. A user is only charged if they do not cancel the free trial.
In this instance, the free trial was not cancelled via Apple or on the website. We are unable to capture a user's information, or billing details, without consent or user input (whether manually on the website or via a saved payment method in one of the app stores).

Either lazy or scammers
Never had I ever had such a hard time to cancel a subscription. They obviously have no intention of giving people refunds and want to take peoples money as people are having the same issues that they are not solving and blaming you. It is ridiculous how many people have had a bad experience with them.

I thought I had canceled subscription…
I thought I had canceled subscription same day I started free trial but lt had not. It charged me I emailed explaining this amd asked for refund got a reply email saying they do not but she would put an escalation refund through on my behalf and that it takes 5-6 working days. Since then no refund and no reply I have messaged and sent bumerous emails all gor no reply except the automated we will reply within 24 hours which they do not. Just a simple bit of customer service or contact would go a long way!!!!

Very helpful when looking for examples…
Very helpful when looking for examples of homework or writing papers. I like the video explanations, which a lot of other similar sites don't have. I think they also have really good customer service. I thought I had cancelled my subscription until I saw a charge for $120. I told them what happened and they reversed the charge for me. Overall, very happy with this service.
