It was easy to book, pay, sign and receive the notarized document. Matthew was super helpful directing me, and patient as I navigated the site.

Things keep loading and takes time to sign. Also drawing the signature through mouse was hard. I wish there was another option.

Overall, it was really easy to use and very efficient. The whole process went incredibly fast. I logged in on a whim just to get prepared, and was notified that an appointment was available in just five minutes.

The person I spoke with was very helpful. The only technical issue I encountered was with uploading my document. Although I received confirmation that it had uploaded successfully, it apparently wasn't received, so I had to upload it a second time.

I must say that the service was quick. I needed a notary at the very last minute, and the process of booking the service online was quick and easy. My husband and I arrived at the notary's house less than an hour later, and he was pleasant and professional. Unfortunately, his credit/debit card reader wasn't working, so he was unable to process our payment on the spot, which was a bit of an inconvenience. We were also somewhat surprised when he asked us how much the payment was supposed to be, but he did explain that he was "fairly new to all this." The amount that I was quoted via email beforehand was 82.90. The notary asked us to simply INTERAC him 82 dollars directly. We asked him to send us his email address for the payment, which he did. Within minutes of leaving the location, we made the 82.90 dollar payment. He then contacted us to say that the amount was actually 95+, that he had therefore rejected the INTERAC payment, and that we needed to send him the correct amount. The increase was both unexpected and unexplained. This felt to us like a "bait and switch," so we obviously requested a breakdown. We were told that the 95 dollars included all applicable taxes and fees. To be clear, the difference of 12 or so bucks is obviously not the issue here. Twelve bucks is negligible. This is a question of professionalism and transparency. I revisited the original email confirmation that I had received, and I saw that there was in fact mention of a fee, but it was 2 dollars. The email also stated that under no circumstances should the notary accept direct payment from the client; payment should be sent directly to Notary Pro only. Obviously, I had not noticed this part of the email. In any event, we can give only 2 out of 5 stars, and this is for a few reasons. Our position is that 1. The full amount should be provided to the client upfront and in full so that a decision can be made regarding whether to use the service or pursue another avenue. If Notary Pro can include the 2 dollar fee in the preliminary email, it means that the 12 dollar fee can be included just as easily. 2. If there is a rule against paying the notary directly, this should not have been offered as an option when we were at the location. 3. The notary should absolutely know the exact amount that the client should pay rather than asking the client what the total amount is. Finally, a couple of hours later, I received an email from Notary Pro requesting payment. However, this came after the notary had already been paid the full revised amount of 95+ via INTERAC. This indicates that there was an internal communication breakdown somewhere along the way. In short, the speed and convenience are impressive; however, the lack of transparency and professionalism are areas that Notary Pro should absolutely strive to address.
