A taste of Italy in the UK. I always look forward to the fresh pastas and risottos paired with quality ingredients. The delivery service is convenient and the ice pack included keeps everything cool until I return from work. If you’re debating on subscribing, go for it. You will not be disappointed.

A dubious service you can't cancel
A decent service you can't easily cancel. Pasta is ok, if overpriced for the simple recipes they provide.
Delivery is hit and miss, one came in the evening to my door, which was nice, but the second was just left in the lobby of my building on an over 30 degree day. And the worst part is that there's a concierge where I live, and any reputable delivery service knows about it, even Uber Eats!
Cancelling your "subscription" is a nightmare, they hide how to do it on their website, and then the ask you to call a phone number which just hangs up on you. They then ask you to email them and I'm sure there will be more hassle to do after that. And I specifically asked about this and was literally lied to by their salesperson that it is a one-click unsubscribe.
EDIT: I'm giving them another star because they called me and refunded me for the bad delivery. They were very polite and apologised for the issues.

Leaving a chilled food delivery in a communal lobby on a day exceeding 30°C is not the standard we expect from our delivery partners, particularly when a concierge service is available. I completely understand your frustration and why this undermined your confidence in the service.
I'm also sorry that the cancellation process felt difficult and frustrating. While we do currently process cancellations via our customer service team, we appreciate that customers expect this to be quick and straightforward. Equally, our phone line is operational, but on this occasion it appears we were unable to answer your call, which understandably added to your frustration.
We've processed the cancellation of your account and are reviewing the delivery and customer service issues you've raised internally. Feedback like this is invaluable because it highlights where the customer experience is not meeting the standards we set for ourselves.

I received my first delivery from Nonna…
I received my first delivery from Nonna Tonda this week which was left outside in the sweltering heat with no name or address on the box.
I live in a block of apartments so anyone could have picked it up.
Both boxes of pasta and sauce were warm inside so unfortunately they went in the bin.
I wanted to cancel my subscription which you can’t do yourself via your account you need to call or email.
I rang the number several times which didn’t connect.
I emailed concerning my subscription and warm pasta and got a reply saying they will process the cancellation of my subscription but no mention of a refund on the pasta.
A complete waste of money.

I completely understand your frustration. Receiving a first delivery that has been left outside in hot weather, without clear identification on the box, is not the introduction to Nonna Tonda that we want any customer to have. In a shared apartment building, it's entirely reasonable to expect that deliveries are left securely and can be easily identified.
If the pasta and sauces were warm on arrival, I also understand why you felt unable to use them.
I'm equally sorry to hear that you struggled to get through to us by phone and that our response regarding your cancellation did not clearly address the issue of the spoiled delivery. We always aim to resolve the immediate problem as well as process any account changes, and it's clear we fell short here.
We would like the opportunity to properly investigate the failed delivery and put things right. If you could please get in touch with your name, postcode and the email address linked to your account, we'll review the order and ensure any refund or resolution owed is processed as quickly as possible.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Whilst mistakes can happen, we recognise that this first impression was not good enough, and we'd welcome the chance to rectify it.

Really fantastic 75% of the time
Really fantastic 75% of the time. We've been doing this for about 8 weeks. I'm not sure why but almost every meat dish (and some others) has extremely watery sauce, I would love it if they worked on that.
Pizzas and risottos have been exceptional every time. Delivery can be a struggle, one week it never arrived and both BH weeks they have randomly delivered a day late with no heads up, even though my delivery day is not Monday. Overall I would recommend and will continue to use, but could have some improvements.

I’m sorry, though, that some of the meat dishes haven’t been hitting the same standard. Watery sauces are absolutely not what we want you to receive, and I’ll pass this straight to our kitchen team so they can review those recipes and the way they’re travelling in the box
I’m also sorry about the delivery issues, particularly the missed delivery and the Bank Holiday delays without a clear heads-up. Even when courier schedules are affected, we should be communicating that properly so you know what to expect.
We really appreciate you sticking with us and recommending us despite those frustrations. Feedback like this genuinely helps us improve, and I’ll make sure both the food and delivery points are raised with the right teams.
Great idea, poor execution
To begin, they didn’t post it. Left it out in the heat on the hottest day of the year so far. When opening, the pasta was so stuck together that they didn’t come apart in long noodles, they broke off into small bits, however when cooked for 2 minutes, they were al dente. The sauce was watery and oily from the packet, so didn’t add pasta water immediately as the recipe suggests… (is it the same thing printed on the box for all recipes?) I did add some in when tossing the pasta in to get the starch, but was still too oily and watery even when cooked down so didn’t stick to the pasta at all. There was a disappointing lack of flavour to the sauce. I love the premise of this, I was so excited for it, but it was not what it promised to be.

Leaving the box out in the heat on such a hot day is clearly not ideal, and we appreciate your concerns around the condition of the pasta when you came to cook it. The texture issues you described certainly aren’t what we would expect from the fresh pasta experience we aim to provide.
We’re also sorry to hear the sauce itself felt watery, oily and lacking flavour. While pasta water is included in many of our recipes to help emulsify and bind sauces properly, we completely appreciate your point that if the sauce already appeared overly loose, the instructions may not have felt appropriate in that situation.
Feedback like this is genuinely very valuable to us, particularly around consistency in both delivery handling and recipe execution, and we’ll be feeding this back internally to both the kitchen and logistics teams.

Delicious
So far so good. So quick to make all of the sauces have been delicious and the pasta has been perfect. Very cost efficient. I needed ingredients from a cookbook for a carbonara sauce and it cost 45.00 for all the ingredients.
With Nonna Tonda you are getting 3 meals for 2 for much less. It’s so nice trying different Italian meals each week and not having to get any ingredients. Making the pizza was fun and even included the flour. I can’t recommend enough.

If I could give zero stars, I would
I had an absolutely awful experience with Noona Tonda and would not recommend them at all.
I was expecting a delivery on Friday 22nd May and was home all day waiting for it. I even saw the rider downstairs with a bike carrying the Noona Tonda logo. She was having a drink and taking photos, while I waited for the telecom to ring so I could let her in. It never rang or buzzed. When I checked again, the rider and the bike had left.
I went downstairs immediately to check whether my order had been left outside or somewhere nearby, but there was nothing there. I was left with no food for dinner on a Friday night and had to go out grocery shopping instead.
Then, on Monday 25th May, three days later, I received a text saying the delivery had been completed on Friday 22nd May, around the time I saw the rider downstairs. The proof-of-delivery photo showed the order left outside a flat door that was clearly not mine. The door in the photo had a doormat, while my flat does not. The photo was also too blurred to identify the flat number.
My building has over 60 flats, and as the order contained fresh pasta, there was obviously no point trying to track it down three days later. Even if I found it, it would no longer be usable.
I cannot understand how a delivery could fail this badly when I was home the entire time. The rider did not buzz my flat, did not deliver the order to me, and appears to have left it outside the wrong flat.
This was a completely unacceptable and frustrating experience. I would not order from Noona Tonda again, and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Having read through everything, I completely understand why this was so frustrating and disappointing - especially given that you were home waiting for the delivery and actively looking out for the rider at the time.
What you’ve described is absolutely not the experience we want any customer to have, particularly on a first order.
We take our deliveries very seriously and whenever issues like this happen, we always try our best to investigate, rectify the situation and offer a redelivery or resolution wherever possible before things ever reach the point of a review like this. While mistakes unfortunately can happen from time to time with deliveries, we genuinely do everything we can to put them right and create a much better impression moving forward.

Horrible tactics to sell ok pasta
Decent pasta but the customer service experience is the worst. I’ve requested to cancel my account and subscription multiple times but even after they told me it is cancelled, it’s not. Ending a subscription should never be this hard, and I should certainly not be charged after I tell them I want to cancel. Completely unacceptable.

Nonna Tonda stands out in a crowded market
In a crowded market, for me, Nonna Tonda stands out. Authentic Italian food that tastes home cooked and comforting. Unbelievable flavours and excellent quality. I eat pasta based meals every day and Nonna Tonda has a good variety of dishes. It is not cheap but good if you can afford it.

We aim to serve 120–140g of pasta per portion, which is typically more than a restaurant would offer, but we completely appreciate that everyone’s expectations are different. I have passed this on to the kitchen to ensure that our weights are calibrated correctly.

Absolutely love the pasta and the variety of dishes offered every week.
Some downsides though (that I didn't think warranted a star off):
- Had some problems with delivery in the first weeks- thankfully customer service was very helpful.
- Small portions (but maybe thats our fault)
- But most importantly, I'd really like the option to be able to order more than 6 portions- especially considering there being 4 pastas to choose from- 2 hungry people go through 6 portions EASILY within the first 3 days!!

We have really enjoyed our Nonna Tonda experience to-date. The sauces are delicious (though we'd like a little more!) and the pasta is fresh and fantastic!
We have really enjoyed our Nonna Tonda experience so far. The delivery service, packaging and simplicity of making the dishes has been superb and the flavour/quality of the product has been amazing. There is just one thing my son and I have consistently said which is that the ratio of pasta to sauce quantities isn't quite right for us. We would prefer 10% less pasta and 10% more sauce. The balance, we feel, would improve our eating experience even more as more of the pasta would be coated with the delicious sauces we have had so far. It's only our personal viewpoint, but one which I hope might be considered.
