After 2 years of bullying and harassment from Leicester city council and these clowns. I have finally got a parking ticket fine on my stolen car taken off the system. They are the rudest unhelpful people I have seen in my life. Both the Agent and office throw useless threats and come to your house to harass you and not help at all. The fact I had already gotten my car stolen I am upset now these people are coming to my house. People may think the council surely took the insurance report as evidence. Nope. Police report or nothing. Which took 4 months because of delays which are outside the window of the appeal and they did not move. But I finally got it. And proven and they have both backed off. I will complain to both ombudsmen and seek action. They should not be allowed to bully and harass people. It's wrong.

You tried it on with me,unfortunately you never got me as I owed thousands to others.
My mental health suffered because of all of you and I was one of the lucky ones caught just in time.
I done a stretch in psychiatric hospital and diagnosed with emotional unstable personality disorder and part of my problem is small debt which builds up because of scum vermin like you ,all of you..luckily getting right help....oh lost everything, house business buy rebuilding, blood on your hands.My thoughts out to the poor young lads family on the drama on BBC, much love to you all.

You have blood on your hands!!!!!! Everyone watch the bbc drama killed by my debt and you’ll realise what a disgusting company this is! Horrifying! Anyone working for this company or work with them have blood on them!

Remember they are only a civil matter, not a criminal matter, unless you invite them into your home, they can’t enter. Their agent Started showing up to a property that I have nothing to do with, despite telling them this, me being nice I allowed their agent to contact me, as it was 3x outstanding car parking tickets, probably more added since. I made an offer of £50 a month, this was turned down, I won’t ever make a 2nd offer once my 1st was refused, this debt could have been cleared by now. Their loss. I also found out the agent gets some of the debt that gets recovered. Ignore the date, I just wanted to leave a review.

If could give no stars I would, don’t even have debt but I had to complain as bank staff who took the call of a customer trying to pay an enforcement officer stood in front of her. As the agent kept taking the phone and shouting about who he was expecting me to just bypass required procedures because he said he is from the court (which by the way has nothing to do with us as her bank this is between herself and the debt collector). He was completely rude and out of order and kept saying how ridiculous it was that I had to do my job and was becoming aggressive on the phone resulting in me being reduced to tears. He is not my customer, the lady in debt is and he should not have been taking the phone off of her in the first place but to then act the way he did givin me such a hard time is very unacceptable. Absolutely shocking and staff really need to be trained properly when dealing with other companies instead of making the situation worse which is exactly what he did.

Absolutely terrible service and company.
Don’t listen, use bully tactics, how this company is aloud to trade is beyond me.

Did you know if you complain to the ombudsman they will get charged ? Here’s abit of useful information. Hit them where it hurts like they do to us !

**They won't need to pay a case fee for the first 3 complaints against their business that we deal with in each financial year. From the 4th complaint onwards, we charge a case fee of £750. If a case does need to be investigated, it becomes a chargeable case, regardless of the outcome**

Just watched Killed by My Debt on BBC iPlayer and saw the behaviour of Newlyn. Despicable. They should all be in prison.

I had a really bad family emergency and I couldn't pay them and they didn't wanna hear what i had to say they are rude and unprofessional and should be shut down to so many bad review or replace with new workers with social skills

The most disgusting company. I received an letter on my name that I didn’t pay council tax but I move out on that month . So After 4 years I received an letter that I have to pay . I call them to explain the situation that I m broke and they don’t want to listen. The lady was rude with me and she said ,, I don’t care about ,, be careful with this company.

I'm more than 5 weeks into paying off a penalty charge for being in a yellow box I set up a payment plan. And have been paying I made a payment on one date and I received a phone call for a payment I made and my account saying I have 0 to pay i missed one payment and without a phone call or message or email they now passed my details to an enforcement agent.when clearly they have made an era on there system or have issues peace's of dog poo they are

Suddenly received threatening text messages for enforcement out of the blue. Contacted them to find out who they were and they advised they were wanting to remove goods for unpaid car parking tickets. Advised we have not received any letters from newlyn regarding this and that we are unable to make such a large payment. Advised the property they are referring to made us a homeless and any letters sent to that address were not passed on to us. Since receiving inicial fines we have been in temporary accommodation for over a year, had a child and that at the time of receiving the fine we had a lot more going on causing these to be put to the back of the neverendling list of worries. We both work and advised we would be happy to set up a payment arrangement but they’re not interested, instead they continue to send threatening messages and refuse to settle this in a professional manner which would ultimately benefit both parties. I would understand if we had been receiving letters from them and ignoring them but we have not received one!!! Now I’m left with my curtains closed, afraid to answer the door, worrying about what they’re going to do. This type of debt collecting should be illegal!!!

I want to share my experience of Liverpool City Council, Newlyn Plc, TEC Justice, CCBC Northampton and the Local Social Care Ombudsman and how they forced money from me leaving me and my children without money straight after Christmas. This happened back in 2018 and I am still fighting this matter to this day. It’s literally like banging your head against a brick wall. Everything is about the process and no empathy is given at all, they do not treat you as an individual or listen to your situation.
I was given a parking fine back in March 2018 outside my place of work. I appealed this due to me only being a couple of minutes late back to my car as I got stuck in a meeting. I pay for parking almost every day, so Liverpool City Council have made a lot of money from me in the past.
In August my appeal was refused, and I was told to pay £25. I made the payment and thought that was the end of the matter.
Then in September 2018 I was told that I owed £58 for the same fine. I was totally confused. I called Liverpool City Council and told them I had paid the fine. They asked me for the last 4 digits of my card details and ran some checks. They told me that I hadn’t made a payment towards this fine. I paid the £58 payment as I didn’t want this to go any further. I then contacted my bank and raised a chargeback with the bank as Liverpool City Council could not confirm where the £25 had gone.
Then in November 2018 I receive another letter regarding the same parking fine stating I owed over £100. Bearing in mind that I had paid £58 already.
Please bear in mind, the demand for payments being sent, did not have any sort of breakdown as to what I was paying for, what the total amount was, or what had been paid off the balance.
E.g., Total Fine amount = £158, total paid £58, outstanding amount = £100, there was nothing like this or I may have had a better understanding of it. It was just a letter demanding over £100 and I didn’t know what it was for. I spoke to Liverpool City Council, and they advised to email them and explain that I paid it. This is what I did. I then received an email telling me the case was on hold.
I was still awaiting the response to my enquiry when in January 2019 the bailiff’s turned up at my parent’s house, as the car was registered to my dad. They were demanding him to pay over £300 or threatened to take his belongings. My dad was scared and paid it on my behalf. My dad is retired and only gets a pension, leaving me forced to repay my dad or he would have been short, this then left me short for money and I had 2 children to look after, we had only just had Christmas.
I called the council to try to get to the bottom of it and they told me it was because I raised a chargeback. Firstly, this was never made clear to me in any of the correspondence sent to me and secondly, the case was on hold, so why was the bailiff sent when the case was on hold. At first, I could not recall that I raised a chargeback about this, because I had fraud on my account when on holiday and had to raise a lot of chargebacks around this time. So, initially I apologised to the council and said the bank must have raised the chargeback in error but if I can provide evidence, can you refund me. They said yes, that should be fine. I sent them the evidence, but they refused to refund me. I then started to take the matter down different routes, and my argument was always that the bank got mixed up and accidently raised the chargeback. Everyway I turned, they sided with the council. It was only when I received the transcript from the council, that I remembered why the chargeback was raised, the transcript stated that I called to advise I made the £25 payment, but it could not be located. This is the reason the chargeback was raised. Now I have realised that they must have received that £25 towards that fine, when they told me they didn’t.
So, because I was given false information from the council, this resulted in me raising a chargeback, causing me to have to pay £335 plus £58 already paid.
I tried to appeal it, but they said that I had already exhausted every avenue and they were not willing to help. I understand, I initially confused things by not remembering the reason I raised the chargeback, but the evidence is there in black and white. The ombudsman they had made their final decision and were not willing to relook at it.
Then they tried to justify it by telling me, it wouldn’t matter anyway because the £25 I paid after I lost the appeal was paid too late and this is why the amount increased. But of course, it would have mattered because I would have paid the £58 and not raised the chargeback or I would have made the payment in November if it would have been explained to me.

Disgusting !
I received a letter for unpaid council tax of one of my previous renting apartment but I wasn't living there anymore cause landlord wanted property back so I got evicted so I'm not person with that debt.
Call them for say was a mistake they should look for the landlord of that property since i wasn't living there anymore and i explain the situationon But they just started to threat me to come into my new apartment and take the goods from me if I wasn't going to pay right in that moment
Impossible contact the council!
They just pick random name for pay debts
And is illigal threat peoplein that way! They should be sued only just for that!
I suggest to recording all they calls just in case so you can use against them in court for the way they do this

Just received a letter from this company (notice of enforcement) asking me to pay £279 for driving in a bus lane on the 05/07/2021 if I Don't pay, they will come to my place and seize my belongings....
1st of all I never received any notice about this before...and now they say as I dint pay on time they me a notice of enforcement...

Disgusting company. harassed for council tax debt which i had paid to the council over a month ago. Today received hand delivered letter threatening to take my belongings if i didn't pay a £310 fine (increasing by another £110 every visit) which they had not informed me about previously. Council had told me over a month ago that the enforcement agents had been called off (i have this in writing).

Guy on the phone was uncooperative and unhelpful - i am autistic and suffer from severe panic attacks but was met with the response that 'that's just the way it goes'. Abusive and evil company.

Been paying this company 6o pound a month for the amount of 480 pound for a parking fine I received outside my own address on a match day as I didn’t no I needed a permit . I’m near to the end of the balance an today the payment was took twice leaving me with 1 pound odd in me account I’m also of work with covid an feeling unwell , I’ve also got 2 kids an had 80 p in my gas so havnt been able to put on my heating . After speaking to someone the second time they told me there manager was transfering my 60 pound bk and still nothing gone bk in my account .

Do not use this company to recover you debt. Disgrace. Abuse vulnerable people. Lie that they can take things which are on hire. Shame on them.

Writing to my son to try and get money out of me, for council tax I don't even owe. Bunch of jokers.

Received a letter from this company threatening to take goods. After multiple calls and emails this company never once responded. We then had a hand delivered letter stating because of no response from us they will be removing goods. We have proof of our contact via emails and calls. Disgusting company who seem to just want to harass people and not get payment.
