Idiotic company harassing UK people after getting my new vehicle parked in off road gets clamped by mistakenly mixing my new vehicle with it's old owner and when trying to contact the officer he mocking me and threatening me in text message to clear the debt or next day my vehicle is removed message to scare me and creating mental disturbances and when provided documents of ownership then saying they can't remove the clamp as I tried to tempered with the clamp such a liar why would I do anything unlawful even though I know I am correct and nothing to do with such situation first the officer placed a yellow paper and later after my email and texts they took down the paper and blocked my vehicle for more than 3 weeks and making my day to day life hectic and telling me to remove the clapm at my own personal expense as they can't remove it by giving false excuse is not a fair way.... There is no such organisation to provide fair assistant or help to tackle such issues and wrong doings then Rishi Sunak or the gov. Of UK should make public violence legal if these matters are to be sorted by general public by them selves #be the change or #make the change #ban this company #takr action against such foolish people running scammers or scamming entities

Extremely aggressive customer service, they don’t go through your finances and what is doable at all no what is your salary, outgoings etc they are just blunt and demanding or just hang up when you ask further questions.

Already paid off the debt and hadn't recieved any confirmation from them so I rang them to get some sort of confirmation that I have paid and the woman on the phone was very rude. Just because your a debt collection company doesnt mean your god, no respect

Anyone wanting to know anything about this company needs to the watch the BBC Program "killed by my debt" - I really dont know how you people live with yourself!!

I’ve just watched BBC Drama Killed by My Debt. I’m horrified to see that from reviews even from a day ago they are still acting in the same way. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Please look into some empathy training, ways to help debtors with payment plans for your staff. Understand that especially in this day and age and the cost of living crisis you cannot continue to act in this way. Please PLEASE please take heed of comments on here else you will have more blood on your hands at the lives lost from people struggling to survive!

Scum of the earth. To anyone dealing with these animals, they say you CANNOT enter a payment arrangement but you CAN. They are vile liars. They do not listen, explain or communicate, they simply demand. Their advisors are despicable and deserve to be in the pathetic and embarrassing jobs they are in. Their parents must be ashamed of them! Reading previous comments and hearing they have blood on their hands does not surprise me. RIP to the man and his family. This company should be reported at every given chance to prevent others having to experience this.

Cowboy of a company, staff rude and not caring. Received a letter for parking fine that had no idea about, was told unable to do payment plan that I wanted, had to be on their terms. Asked for proof of supposed fine as legally allowed to do, to which this supposed company should supply, and received nothing but a clamp on car which was parked on private property. Called them about this and got told that they are bailiffs and have the power so pay up. Reports and complaints will be made. I hope the company goes under and all the staff have to deal with with they put others through.
Clearly people here have issues.

The company was sending letters to my old address, even though logbook has been issued 3 days after Contravention, by rule I have 40 days to update my Logbook, but they were still sending letters to my old address untill 8 months later, I suddenly have to pay 280£, Gave them a call and all they were saying is that if I don't pay it now, they will fine me 250£, they didn't have any answers about why I was still receiving letters to my old address and that they don't care, they were extremely rude and were hanging up without giving an answer!

Absolutely disgusting company, after watching how they murdered a 19 year old man on BBC three. You guys should be ashamed!!! Vile human beings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miss a payment they slap £200 on! I'm of the mind, these individuals are not operating within the law! The only interest they show is you repaying the debt, they'll help you in every way to pay, but empathy is in short supply, once this has been paid, I shall be seeking independent legal advice to recover the excessive missed payment fee's. You hear nothing (not even if you've paid up) but miss a payment, they chase you like a hound on the fox. When you have paid it's up to you to keep a track, not for Newlyn to tell you you've paid, they don't care, as long as the debt is paid! When did anyone last have a statement? You could end up overpaying by £100's if you use the online pay portal!

These are the most vile, degrading, misunderstanding, condescending group of people I’ve ever known, their training is to make customers want to end their lives. Check out the BBC documentary about this company, a 19 year old man ended his life as they were stalking him over a debt of under 1k, singing songs & taunting him when he left his home, ‘killed by my debt’ is the programme… I have been unfortunately been at the brunt of these guys and the way they spoke to me was absolutely harrowing.

You should be ashamed and I truly hope one day that anyone who is working here and one of the bad ones at this company is one day at the receiving end of these horrible people so they know what it’s like.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. This company is a complete and utter disgrace.

My fiancé received a letter on the 14th July 2023 from Newlyn stating that we owed them £174 for driving in a bus lane in Manchester in June 2022. The letter stated that they had previously tried to contact us by letter and by telephone however we had not responded. This letter was the first we had heard of any violation we had committed. We had not received a single letter from them prior to this, and not received a phone call, a call would have been impossible as they did not have our contact number. Now, we should have called about this to speak to them further but we are human beings and both working a combination of long 12 hour days and night shifts it had slipped our mind.

On the 27th July 2023 I returned home to find a hand delivered letter stating that we now owed £409, it had the enforcement officers name (Mr Meade) and his contact number, and he had handwritten on this letter that he would be returning in the next 24 hours to clamp the car if they did not receive payment in full.

Naturally I panicked and contacted Mr Meade and asked him to phone me back. I will admit I was infuriated on the phone and Mr Meade told me to drop my attitude, that he is not here to deal with my crap and insisted we had received prior correspondence. He then told me he would not speak to me any further because it’s in my fiancés name, he said he needed to call back and then abruptly hung up on me. He then texted me photos of my car in a bus lane in Manchester.

My fiancé returned home from work later on and attempted to contact Mr Meade. He did not answer, a message was left which he did not respond to. My fiancé attempted to contact him again several times and his number was then blocked by Mr Meade. We knew this to be the case because we rang back with 141 in front of his number and it rang again. He then received a text from Mr Meade stating the following: ‘All information has been supplied, clear your account or further action will commence tomorrow 6am’.

Our issue is not that the violation took place, the issue is that we were not sent a fine in the post by Manchester City Council. The initial fine would have been £99, and had to received this with evidence the violation took place we would have happily paid. However nothing at all was received. I had tried to explain this to Newlyn but Mr Meade was not interested in listening at all. We were completely terrified. I moved my car to a different location and kept trying to contact someone at Newlyn and appeal to them that there seemed to be a misunderstanding but this company do not care in the slightest. Eventually we paid the £409 in full just so they would leave us alone, however there was no proof of payment supplied. Even after making the payment, Mr Meade had intimidated and threatened us to the point we were scared to go to bed that night, worried someone was watching our house and worried they would still turn up at 6am the next morning. Every blind was shut, windows closed and doors locked scared to even look out of the window. Thankfully 8am came around and no one had turned up, their head office opened and we could speak to someone to confirm the payment had been settled. My fiancé spoke to the women on the phone and asked for reassurance that no one would be turning up now, and complained about Mr Meade’s intimidating behaviour especially towards a female however she said ‘that’s just the way it is’. My doors remain locked as I’m still scared.

These are truly an abhorrent company. In terms of ‘debt’, £409 is relatively small, I’m not in a bad place financially and was in a position that I could pay and I was still made to feel like a criminal and was scared for my safety in my own home. I dread to think about how they treat those that owe more and aren’t as fortunate as me and my partner. This company already have blood on their hands following the case covered in the BBC series ‘Killed By My Debt’ and if they continue with their methods of debt collecting it won’t be long before they have another suicide on their hands. Shame on Manchester City Council for working with these scum bags. I don’t know how Mr Meade can sleep at night knowing this is how he and his colleagues treat people. If any of my loved ones did this line of work I would be utterly embarrassed.

My heart goes out to anyone who is unfortunate enough to find themselves in a similar situation.

I received a notice of enforcement, to pay for Penalty Charge Notice. I have never received any letter to make payment, and now I have to pay over £200. They do not care that I knew nothing about it before. They guy on the phone was extremely rude. This whole company is a bunch of morons that have no respect for others. I told him to split it to 4 installments, he said he can do 2 installments. This company is a joke !!!

Not knowing where and who to turn to, after being pass around and put on hold for more than 20 minutes by your staff, the manner in which your agency has treated me is simply not acceptable and uncalled off , really unnecessary especially when you trying to recover debts...

On friday 21st July around 03:37pm i have made a phone call to Newlyn to enquire about the missed calls i have receiving from them, to my surprise they informed that i owe their client 2 yrs of council tax... and when i tried explaining to them , this cant be as i did not live there for a year , that cant be right.... Jordan the staff i was talking to rudely start raising his voice and getting irritated that i was challenging what he was saying before rudely hanging up the phone on me.

When i tried to call back , this time i got a lady , to whom i explained what has happened and that i would like to speak to a Manager , she just put me on hold for more than 15 minutes and never returned. ( How unprofessional). This is unheard of

I then hanged up to call back again and this time got Jordan, and ask him to let me speak to a manager " his response was the manager will call back , when i ask when he replied before 7pm. It's been almost 48 hrs no response or anything. I have tried putting my complains to you but seems to be an impossible task. Perhaps i will have a better luck with social medias ... with luck i might get someone that will address my discontent.
