Newday ltd has to be probably the worse company i have dealt with , on my aqua card i had a credit limit of 900 pound and they cut it down to 250 because i had a late payment in june because i paid a day late due to a banking problem (when i rang them they apologised and refunded the late fee and assured me it wouldnt affect my limit) they lied and it was reduced , so i made a complaint to get it restored and within 2 days they told me theres nothing they can do and icouldnt esculate my complaint any further so isaid right im going to pay my balance of 67.98 and close my account ive already cut up my aqua card up so i cant use it , Plz dont use this company they dont listen or care they just stick to there script I will get a generic message thats computer generated telling me they understand and to ring them and if i did get the same crap when it goes wrong they dont wanna know or care .AVOID AVOID AVOID , SO BE WARNED

I give Anathi Faith out of 10/10..she was very patient. I give her a gold medal 🏅 very very patient. I nearly gave up but she was very patient...she deserves a medal. My network was playing up but she remained calm and helpful.

This company did more for me then i can say well done they saved my account

The interest rate is on the high side but it's still a good card. Sometimes life throws you curve balls and it's great to have a card to use. I've had this card for quite a while now and satisfied with it

Just a bait & switch company. Offer limit increases then take them away within seconds of notification that been offered. Trying to speak to a human being is impossible with everything being forced to chatbots/AI.
Opening an account with them is easy as well as managing account in the app, but if you ever need to speak to a human being, good luck.

Had Argos account recently taken over by new day with this company have to download new app not at all

App which is not worth using as they say the payment won’t go through unless you have a payment number very confusing. AVOID

Been with marbles few years easy to use you get reminders of when payments are due also get discounts online help if you need it and can use card anywere , you get alerts when card used can download app to keep track its great recommend marbles card.

I’ve never had a problem with the company or the dealings with it… the downside are the interest rates that are crippling me, considering I am unable to get an alternative credit card

I was accepted for Aqua many years ago when my credit score was low.They trusted me,slowly increased my limit and this helped improve my credit score.My credit limit is revised regularly and I have a choice to accept or not.Been treated well by Aqua so although interest rates on high side,but not the highest I would recommend them

On 31.03.2026 I accepted a balance transfer offer that this company had offered me on my Newday Pulse credit card.

These offers appear to be nothing more than an opportunity for Newday Ltd to scam their customers via the company's dishonest 'small print'.

I transferred the sum of £4,850 to Newday Pulse from two other credit card companies and in good faith paid Newday a total fee of £145 for this facility, assuming that the company would act honestly towards me in relation to this facility.

Specifically, I anticipated that the 'interest free' offer facility would be 'ring fenced', and that Newday would honour our contract. But no such luck!

In the following month, May, I made a £2,216 purchase and made a credit of £2,000 to my account in the same billing period.

I assumed that the company would only charge me interest on the difference of £216. To my horror the company deducted my credit of £2,000 from my interest free balance transfer plan of £4,850, resulting in my receiving an unexpected and I consider blatantly dishonest interest charge of £76.

This manipulative action on Newday's part reduced my 'interest free' facility (I repeat, for which I had paid Newday £145!) from £4,850 to £2,774 on my next monthly statement in early July, plus an ongoing 'purchase' balance of £2,216.

I duly made a total credit of £2,231 to the account by the following statement date - assuming that this would clear my 'purchase' balance of £2,216 and that I would not be charged any interest on my next monthly statement.

But, horror of horrors, and 'deja vu', the company lobbed another interest charge of £38.26 at me!

The effect of this is that instead of my offer fee of £145 securing an interest free £4,850 for 6 months the company has wrongly inflicted two consecutive wrongful interest charges at me!

This is in my view completely 'sharp practice' dishonest conduct on the part of Newday Ltd. The company no doubt hopes that their customers will 'take it on the chin' and not have the energy or inclination to complain. No such luck, Newday! I am on your case, and am proceeding to make a formal complaint about your ‘sharp practice’ conduct to your regulatory body, the Financial Conduct Authority.

In my opinion Newday Ltd (owned by the American private equity company, KKR & Co, Inc) is a dishonest loan shark company, whose 'small print' and computer systems are primarily designed to fleece their customers. IMHO this company is a rogue money-lending operation which should not be allowed by the Financial Conduct Authority to operate in the UK. I cannot get out of their clutches quick enough. Avoid these ghastly loan sharks at all costs!

Postscript (after reading the company's reply to my above negative review).

Sorry, Josh, but profuse apologies are simply not enough. Words are cheap. Actions speak louder than words. I have had various cards with Newday Ltd for many years, and in my experience the company does not respect or act fairly and honestly towards its customers - simply treating them as 'cash cows'.

Other credit card companies do not treat me like this. Hence, I advise everyone against taking out a credit card with any of the brands operated by Newday Ltd.

Very clear on terms, the statements are detailed and easy to understand, and the app is so easy to use.

Customer feedbak is sought regularly.

Offers have recently been added with other partners, not of interest to me, likely to be of interest to others.

And I can import the transactions into my accounting package.

So win win.

No issues, with purchases and the app is easy to use.

What a firm complete rubbish trying to make a payment is hard as it gets used to go to myargoscard simple pay done in 2 mins this robbing firm don't want you to pay they want to make you pay over years and when you try to pay everything goes against you cannot wait till my bill is paid never ever deal with Argos again worst firm ever and they used to be the best why should ihave to get InTouch with them no way cannot wait till they are paid off and out of my life for good

It’s been a reliable card since I got this and working great as normal and always easy to make purchases.
