Navan has been wonderful to work with. Though we have a smaller team of around 50 we have a dedicated account manager who supports us with queries. There are minor hiccups on the platform but our account manager is always ready to listen and assist with issues.
Their customer support for travelers could be improved a little by ensuring they are briefed on local ticketing guidelines but they respond quickly when you reach out to them.

Appalling service
Appalling service.
Their app never works, gives tons of errors, card not linked, contact support, etc. When you are able to speak with someone it takes 2h for them to reply and the prices miraculously go up EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Impossible to reach out the customer service in less than 2 hours.. and when in chat in order to make a change it will take forever, probably because the agent is chatting with so many people at the same time.
The chat lastes 2 hours and the agent did nothing at the end saying the request would have been passed to a colleague.. never happen
Why an healthy mind would ever use NAVAS: more expensive than use own booking through internet and no additional service at all.

Welcome to the chocolate teapot of business travel booking systems. In fact a chocolate teapot would be more useful as at least you can eat it. Navan is useless and a good reason for Trustpilot to have a zero star tier.
What you will get is an awful booking experience, your travel costs will be higher and if anything goes wrong with the booking, almost no help.
My recent experience involves a transatlantic flight that was cancelled for engineering reasons. Navan alerted me and then removed the flight details from my calendar (which may life worse as I no longer quick access to my booking reference). Zero help in finding replacement flight (which I landed up booking direct bypassing Navan completely). Now actively promoting leaving the service completely.
Sounds like a dream (centralised billing, ability to cancel centrally, keeping travel within budget) but you land up pissing off anyone in your company who needs to travel and pay over the odds for the cost. CFOs beware.

ZERO STARS
If you had a zero stars option it would be zero stars. This platform is a rehashed corporate travel booking platform that has been badly redeveloped with no "step back" UX or CX! The fact that TrustPilot only allows me to post this by giving it one star is a farce and testimony to how poor TP is. Anyway, we were trying to use Navan for the first time this evening to book a complex, multi-traveller business trip. It is the most unusable online travel booking system that I have ever seen. There were so many blind alleys and un thought through processes that I do believe that they should (in the words of Orange Juice) "rip it up and start again". If you have acquired or invested in this business you should ask for you money back immediately. The worst UX/CX ever! We spent 5 hours using it to book 2 flights and 3x hotel rooms in Dubai. On Booking.com that would have taken 15 minutes. As the Chairman of the company, all I was trying to do was get our business travel centralised. Who is behind Navan? Who owns the company and who designed the UX/CX? THE ONLY REASON WE KEPT GOING IS BECAUSE THEY TOOK OUR MONEY FOR BUSINESS CLASS TICKETS AND EXPENSIVE DUBAI HOTELS.

Navan’s support experience has been consistently frustrating. Response times are slow, and it often takes multiple attempts and support tickets to make any progress. Each interaction feels like starting from scratch, with little to no follow-up, even over extended periods.
If the platform were more fit for purpose, perhaps the reliance on support wouldn’t be as frequent. As it stands, the product and support together fall short of what corporate customers need. There’s still a significant gap between where Navan is today and what’s expected at an enterprise level.

Don't believe what you see on the Navan account
I booked and paid for a round-trip flight 7280238 (Berlin–Antalya–Berlin) through Navan, and everything look fine on the account, but on fact only one leg of the journey appeared on the airline’s website, which I discovered by chance. Fortunately there was almost a month before the flight to solve the issue.
I contacted support repeatedly for several weeks, and despite numerous chats with different agents and empty promises of updates within 72 or 5 hours or during the day, I never received a working PNR or confirmation of both flights. Weeks later, I still have no complete itinerary, no refund, and no accountability — just blame-shifting to the airline and zero follow-through. Navan’s handling of this issue nearly ruined my vacation. I cannot recommend them to anyone relying on timely, responsible travel service.
If you're contacting their support don't forget to screenshot and save all the conversations to the text file, there's no history log on the account (wow, just wow).
UPD: Navan has done nothing apart from sending a single email with a deeply apologetic message and a promise to resolve the issue as soon as possible - this was two weeks ago, nothing since then. I filed a dispute with my bank, and after reviewing the docs, the bank approved a full refund. However, today I received an email informing me that Navan has contested the dispute. Could it be more pathetic..

The platform itself is very mediocre
The platform itself is very mediocre, at least when it comes to picking hotels. Took me 45minutes to do it instead of the usual 10-15minutes I normally spend on a place like booking.com.
Then when I was about to book and pay, they had blocked my account and asked for further verification.
That's fine to ask about during the signup process, but to do so after us spending 45 minutes on getting to know the platform is just massive waste of our time.
Since then they are ignoring our email about closing down our account and stop having spam emails sent to us.

Terrible and Unreliable Customer Service
When the website is working, booking travel is simple and fast. However, the website and app are often having "technical difficulties". There are times you can see the flight and be one click away from booking when you get an error message saying you need to talk to customer support. You'll spend hours waiting for someone to join chat support. It's usually better to call customer service but so far I've been on hold for 45 minutes with no luck. Really hope my company switches to a new provider.

Useless!
We thought that this product, which is heavily advertised in the small business space, would make our life easier when managing travel for our small business.
Unfortunately, it has been a complete joke, with booking cancelled, accounts suspended, and no response from support about why.
This is a travel company for business who will suspend your account if you book travel and accomodation for business purposes. Apparently using their (purpose build) platform for booking travel is seen as "unusual activity".
It doesn't matter if you have already completed all of their verification steps, or if your ID and documents are in order, and if you do everything right, booking travel is seen as "unusual activity" and you'll get suspended.
And of course they suspend your account within minutes of clearing the funds from your CC, and you have no way to contact support about it because you need to login to your account to do that; but it's suspended.
Their web site contact page and email support options are useless, and you'll be lucky to get even a 'we have received your request' like every other company on the planet has been able to do for decades.
The automated response to the suspension notice suggests providing a bunch of additional personal information via an email. Not one of the four security certifications listed on their website would allow passports and other personal data to be shared without even basic encryption (most email systems don't even provide that when a message is in transit).
Who runs a business without a listed phone number for support? Navan apparently.
Navan don't even deserve a one-star rating; this has been the worst experience I've ever had with a travel booking company. If you're a small business owner and need help with travel planning, this isn't the product for you!

I can’t believe how poor this service…
I can’t believe how poor this service is. Initially it’s very hard to navigate and configure your account. Then I get locked out of my account and no one can tell me why. While the customer service person I was speaking to was trying to be helpful, they haven’t had the training and unfortunately, their English was so poor and they have so little visibility, we couldn’t get to any kind of reasonable outcome. I asked for a manager to call me. The CA agent said they would within an hour, 24 hours laters, still nothing and the email support has gone dark. I would 100% avoid using this service until they sort out their business

The worst experience
Dont use it. Sadly I had to use them because my employer signed with them to handle our bookings. The worst experience I've ever had. It seems they didnt figure out how to book flights yet. My (1 stop) flight kept getting stuck in "processing" where I had to chase support for 2 months and kept rebooking new ones at a higher price eventually they told me it is better to book it elsewhere. You need to bypass their stupid AI assistant everytime you use the chat and the flight prices are insanely high as well (1.5x price the same flight outside Navan)

Accessibility & UX Feedback – Boarding Pass Failure + Hidden Flight Stop
I’m writing to formally document multiple issues I encountered during my recent travel booked through Navan.
1. Boarding Pass Failure for Connecting Flight
I was not issued a boarding pass for my connecting leg, and there was no indication or instruction on how to obtain it during my transfer. American Airlines staff at the connecting airport couldn’t help, and I am currently attempting to manually request a new one at the gate. There was no way to anticipate this, and it created unnecessary stress while I was simply trying to get home.
2. Unclear Stop Between Philadelphia and Chicago (ORD)
Navan automatically booked me on a flight from Philadelphia to Chicago that included a completely unnecessary layover in Pittsburgh. This was not disclosed clearly in the booking flow. The stop was buried in small text, and I only noticed the day before travel.
Let me be blunt: Philly to ORD should not require a layover. And if it absolutely must, it should be communicated in a way that is prominent and unmissable—especially since that additional leg caused its own chaos with the boarding pass issue.
This goes beyond user error. It’s a design and accessibility flaw that:
-Assumes all travelers have capacity to parse through fine print and airline policy trickery
-Forces reliance on inconsistent gate agent support, which often fails
-Creates significant barriers for anyone who is disabled, elderly, traveling with children, or less familiar with airline systems
I'm lucky that I’m flexible, tech-savvy, and wasn’t returning home to urgent obligations. But not everyone is. Imagine a traveler working 12-hour days all week who just wants to get home and finds out—at the gate—that they don’t even have a valid boarding pass. That’s an unacceptable gap in your platform’s responsibility.
I strongly urge you to escalate this feedback to both your product and operations teams. This isn’t just about inconvenience—it’s about trust, accessibility, and clarity.
Recommended improvements:
1. Make all stops and layovers unmissable in the booking UI
2. Confirm that all boarding passes have been issued at check-in
3. Push alerts if anything is missing
4. Do not rely on travelers to know they must troubleshoot basic documentation in-transit
