I attended free implant consultation.
I was told that I would be suitable for an implant. I was told that there was a very small chance of an implant failure . I was told that if that was the case I would be entitled to a refund.
After two one hour appointments of unpleasant surgery, I found out that the implant had failed.
When I requested a refund it was pointed out to me that in the fourteen pages of t&Cs that I had signed it stated that I would only get a partial refund.
I am now out of pocket to the sum of
£1350.
I still have a missing tooth.
If the this charge was highlighted to me at the consultation I would not have gone ahead with the surgery.

These terms were provided in writing before proceeding, and we encourage all patients to ask questions to ensure they feel fully informed before making a decision.

Exasperation, frustration and not value for money
Further to this review, I have been contacted by MyHealthCare Clinic, who have apologised for the experience and have offered a refund. I am satisfied with this prompt response to my issues and resolution.
I was scheduled to have a video consultation at 16.20; I left work early to accommodate this. Unfortunately, due to one reason or another, the video link did not work. I was kept waiting for 20 mins, and eventually made contact with the doctor at 17.00. This delay is unacceptable to me and I could have taken a phone call at work. After about 10 mins, the phone call was mutually ended. This was not worth the £59 I paid but more than this, I wanted private health to avoid to this exasperation and frustration.

Knowledgeable and efficient service (vaccinations)
Whilst we unfortunately couldn’t sync times for a suitable appointment, my experience liaising with Thabile and Nurse Carolyn was fantastic. Thabile was efficient and followed up on my detailed queries. Nurse Carolyn provided thorough and clear guidance in a very timely manner. Very comfortable and interactive experience

Clinic cancelled my test - shocking customer service
It's very odd to me quite how many good reviews there are on here given my appalling experience with MyHealthcareClinic.
I booked an extensive medical with MyHealthCare clinic, usually £795 but reduced for Black Friday, for 23 December. I had until the end of the year to claim a test back on my insurance. I had multiple conversations with the clinic about availability and what I needed, and I was happy with the booking. Then, last week, they rang me out of the blue to say they couldn't carry out the test on that date due to Christmas lab closures. How does a professional clinic let you book a test, which is half a mortgage payment in price, and not realise its labs will be closed so the test can't go ahead? They offered one other date, which I couldn't make. Given they told me it had to be cancelled so late, there is now no availability left in London or Essex at other clinics for a similar test.
I asked for a full refund, and whilst I got this, MyHealthCare clinic's admin error means I've missed out on claiming £500 of my insurance this year, and more importantly knowing how my health is after giving birth this year.
Adding insult to injury, following the refund, my credit card statement shows me they have charged me £50 erroneously, and have yet to explain or refund this despite me emailing several times with evidence.
What an absolute disgrace of a company!

We deeply regret that this caused an inconvenience, especially given the urgency surrounding your insurance claim and the importance of your health test.
Regarding the £50 charge, after further investigation, we are unable to locate this payment in our system, and we kindly advise you to dispute this charge directly with your bank. The most recent transaction on your file was a refund of £486.50, processed on 12th December 2024.
Once again, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused, and if there’s anything further we can assist with, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Did not answer the phone, so contacted them via WhatsApp instead.
I asked a very simple, reasonable question - whether their private GPs refer to NHS specialists or solely manage further treatments in-house.
I was met with “as we are a private practise our referrals are to other private specialists.”
Other private GPs do refer to NHS specialists, hence why I asked. Simply being a private service does not automatically mean you do not refer to NHS services. From the BMA website - “Private GPs are free to refer their patients to the NHS in the same way as NHS GPs can refer their patients to the private sector.”
If you’re looking to circumvent the long and difficult process of visiting your NHS GP and essentially pay to fast track the referral you know they’d give you, then look for an alternative private practise. It is pointless to use this one unless you’re willing to pay out of pocket for every stage of consultation, diagnosis, treatment and review.

Staff are very welcoming. Nurse very knowledgeable and friendly. It is a shame the practice room was so small so it was hard to move around it.
