I left the UK in my late 30s having invested in a private pension for about four years. It wasn't a huge amount but it was hard-earned cash I didn't want to lose. Over the years, the pot grew and was transferred between other pension funds - without any consultation with pension holders - and became increasingly hard to keep track of.
However, when I approached retirement and wanted to withdraw it was when the headaches really started. I just didn't seem to be able to get access to my money. My old pension company PensionBee (like most others) would only allow withdrawals to a PRA
regulated UK bank. MyExpatSIPP was the only company I found that offers expats like me in France to make withdrawals to a non UK bank.

From the very first contact Josh took me under his wing and helped me in every step of the nearly 4 month process to transfer my pension. There's lots of red tape in the process because of government oversight to protect from scammers. I can assure everyone that this company is 100% legitimate.

The platform to manage the portfolio is excellent. I would recommend this SIPP to anyone who does not have the necessary UK bank account.

Customer Service staff are very attentive, knowledgable and efficient. But I am surprised how basic dealing platform is!?..
1. When u try to deal buy/sell..there is no latest price displayed?..no Unit price at all just option for amount u want to invest in £GBP?..Really??
2. Also, there is no "Favourites or watchlist" with latest price of funds/shares!

Its basic mother n father of all dealing platforms!?
Please get it fixed guys!. Once these features are improved happy to give 6 stars:-)

It wasn't easy to figure out how to start the process of a withdrawal. Is there a guide on how this works on the website? Also, the form was confusing. I thought I entered information that the form was requesting but, through the process, I found out that the information I provided actually caused more confusion and delayed the withdrawal process.

My SIPP transfer was handled professionally and was surprisingly fast given that the team were dealing with a slow and bureaucratic legacy provider. Customer service called me promptly when I needed clarification of process and required forms and e-mails were always answered within less than 2 hours. I am a British immigrant who has been living in Netherlands for over 20 years.
