Yes Wow what an amazing platform
Yes Wow what an amazing platform. I can’t believe the results. I’ve only had three releases out on my record label and already I’m grading attraction interviews in respecting magazines. It does take a little while to filter through the actual amount of offers but there were so many offers. I’ve got over 72 offers on my first campaign and at the worst case scenario you’ve got your track in 17 y which is amazing and then on top of that you’ve got people supporting your Music from all over the world I can’t recommend this company hard enough.

These so called "curators" did absolute nothing after paying for their service. The 186 offers didn't help in my case. Thank God my music is played on commercial radio.

We're sorry to hear you're disappointed with your experience so far.
We do, however, want to clarify a few points for anyone reading this review, as it doesn't reflect the current status of your campaign.
Your campaign is still active, with 12 days remaining, so it hasn't yet reached its conclusion. At the time of writing, we can see that two offers have been completed, 107 offers are currently awaiting your response, and you also have access to the Marketplace, which hasn't yet been used to contact curators directly.
We're also unable to reconcile the figure of "186 offers" with the data on your campaign, so we're not sure where that number has come from.
It's completely understandable to be disappointed if the campaign hasn't met your expectations so far, but it's not accurate to say that the curators have "done absolutely nothing" when the majority of opportunities are still awaiting a response from you and the campaign is ongoing.
If there are specific offers or curators you're concerned about, we'd be more than happy to investigate them individually and help you make the most of the remainder of your campaign. Please do contact us at team@musosoup.com if you'd like to discuss anything further.

The site is easy to use and understand, however I believe the paying upfront and not having any control over what kind of creators to send music to while paying MORE once creators offer something seems a little predatory. More control over who receives music would help artists target who we think would potentially be most impactful for our goals and paying upfront with all the "free alternatives" after that being not helpful at all is not great. Musicians and artists are already forced to do everything outside of actually making the music and art itself, penny pinching artists that just want to share music with listeners that may actually connect with it makes me sad for the state of the arts right now. This model only benefits the people offering write ups and shares and does very little, if not nothing, for the artists who create the art itself.

You are in complete control, and you can do that via the marketplace.
The whole reason we made the offer system was to flip it around so that artists are in control, instead of you having to manually apply to everyone and potentially get no's or feedback, the curators now pitch to you and you get to decide who you want to work with.
Hope that helps explain things! We're trying to save you money by only spending when you know it's something you want and that the curator is willing to do for you.

Its all about money after you spend money on a campaign that by it self isnt worth a thing get offers from people that cant gain you a following or help in any way as they are small time in my opinion i have had two campaigns i chose to complete a second to see if i was just unlucky but bith were the same also people didnt complete the free options on both campaigns and made excuses of why they could complete them i would avoid this site at all costs as that it will be with no benefits

Musosoup is designed to connect artists with independent curators, bloggers, playlist owners, and reviewers, many of whom operate on a smaller or niche scale rather than offering guaranteed follower growth. Because of this, campaign outcomes can vary significantly depending on the music, genre, targeting, and the curators who choose to engage.
Regarding the free offers not being completed, that’s certainly not the standard we aim for, and we appreciate you raising it. If you report these we will absolutely step in. The majority of the free offers are spotify playlists which actually fulfill automatically when you accept them, as we use an API. So, it would be really good to see who hasn't fulfilled their offers.

Poor quality doesn't quite say it
Not sure what is going on here but the quality of the curator offers is a joke. Playlists with 7 saves, spammy text that you'd see in a Telegram chat offering to post to bot accounts on TikTok.
This isn't just isolated to 1 or 2 accounts, it's every single one and the pattern is so predictable it looks like it's automated bots. Musosoup's payment system is pay first find out later, and I've found out that this is somewhere between a scam and incredibly disingenuous.
Not a single reputable curator to be found on the platform, not a single playlist where you would want your music to be featured, and these good reviews now look incredibly suspect.
Either people's bar for marketing and quality is in hell, or this is for sure a scam, will never use or recommend again.
Stay away.

We want to directly address a few of the points you raised, as there are some important clarifications that may help explain how the platform is designed to work.
Firstly, all curators on Musosoup are vetted before being approved, and we actively monitor for bot activity across playlists and social accounts. Anything that doesn’t meet our standards is removed and/or restricted we do not allow bot-driven or artificially inflated placements on the platform.
On the point about “spammy” or templated messages: initial outreach messages are intentionally templated. This is a safeguard we require so we can approve the work that they're offering. However, all further communication is direct and not templated. We encourage artists to use the chat to ask questions and dig into placements before moving forward.
Regarding the structure of offers, curators are required to provide a free option if they’re making a paid offer. Many blogs and playlists choose to create dedicated placements for this purpose, which is why you may see variations in scale (including smaller or emerging playlists alongside larger ones). That doesn’t automatically indicate low quality, but we do understand that relevance is what matters most.
On payments: Musosoup uses a safeguarded payment system where funds are held until the agreed work is completed to a satisfactory standard. This is designed to protect both sides, ensuring curators are paid for completed work, and artists are protected with the ability to raise issues if delivery is not up to standard.
We also want to be clear that there are many established and reputable curators using the platform, including outlets such as DIY, Amazing Radio, EARMILK, and others. However, we can’t guarantee coverage from any specific curator, selection is always based on fit and whether they choose to engage with a release.
That said, your experience clearly hasn’t matched what we aim to deliver. If you’re open to it, we’d really like to investigate your campaign specifically to understand what you received and whether anything fell below standard. The space-time continuum of inattentive curators
Hi guys, it's the "Brutal King" speaking.
In a perfect space-time continuum, right after highlighting some issues on another well-known platform, I find myself reviewing my experience on Musosoup.
In my opinion, based on the data from my current campaign, the problem here is glaring: I have the distinct impression that the vast majority of curators do not even bother reading the Pitch or the Artist Bio the artist takes the time to write. I received dozens of proposals that appeared to be predefined, "cast-a-wide-net" messages.
The result is getting offers for "dump" playlists (some even 18 hours long) or blogs that are completely off-target for my genre and my musical approach, despite it being clearly stated in my profile. After analyzing and rejecting numerous carbon-copy offers, my feeling is that there is a total lack of genuine artistic selection. I’m giving 1 star as an encouragement because the platform's concept is good, but quality control over curators and respect for the artist's work must absolutely improve. ;-)

Update in response to the company:
"I appreciate your polite response. However, I noticed that this review, posted on March 29th, was only formally reported for verification nearly a month later. It is quite inconsistent to receive a friendly public reply while simultaneously facing an administrative challenge regarding the authenticity of my experience.
I have already provided Trustpilot with the documentation proving I am a legitimate customer. My feedback is intended to be constructive: having to manually decline over 85% of the proposals received—due to them being off-target or based on standard templates—suggests that the selection process could be much more precise.
Furthermore, even among the few offers accepted, I had to personally intervene to ensure professional results. I pointed out specific technical SEO errors (such as my artist name being injected into the site's global template, creating 'duplicate content' issues and penalizing indexing) on a review I paid for to be 'fully optimized.' Despite my detailed technical report provided in the chat, the issue remains unresolved, leaving my content incorrectly indexed. When an artist has to act as technical support for a service they paid for, and such critical issues persist, the effectiveness of the service is lost. I hope this serves as a prompt to improve your quality control standards. Best regards.

All initial outreach messages from curators are templated by us. This is intentional, it helps us keep communication safe, clear, and consistent across the platform as we approve them before they can be sent out. Once a conversation moves forward, everything in the chat is fully personal and not templated, so there’s plenty of room for more tailored interaction.
We also take a music-first approach. Curators are required to listen to a track for a set amount of time before they can save it or send an offer. While they do have access to your pitch and bio, many will initially decide based purely on whether the music connects with them. It’s quite common that they explore the wider context, your story, positioning, and details, more deeply after an offer is accepted, especially when preparing coverage.
That said, you should still feel like offers make sense for your sound and direction. If anything feels way off the mark (like completely mismatched genres or irrelevant placements), that’s something we absolutely want to look into, and we’d encourage you to report those so we can review curator quality.
We’re continually working on improving targeting and overall quality, and feedback like yours plays an important role in that.
