We promoted our second single on MusoSoup, after having a great experience on an earlier release.

The application process is simple, the platform easy to both understand and navigate and the at elbow support is first class, answering all our queries efficiently and in short time.
On campaign start, we were almost immediately overwhelmed with creator offers! So to stay in full control of things we would recommend the following-

1. Log and review all offers (some will reach out with generic messages) and check the creator reach and reputation (Chat GPT was a great tool for us on this)
2. Decide what it is your after! So create yourself a promotion strategy…. Is it playlists, reviews, reels etc ? as before to long you could burn your promo budget and not secure what was really needed.
3. Apply a Tier rating system to the creators (High, Medium, Low impact) and be strict applying it.
4. Don’t just rely on offers coming into your inbox, you can reach out to key content creators through the MusoSoup Market Place feature.
5. Use the chat feature and keep on top of all the offers, remember most offer free alternatives such as playlist placements.
6. Important…. Also keep on top of the Daily/weekly performance figures, this gives you an idea what really is working for you in the campaign, we can’t recommend highly enough services like Viberate for their Analytic tools! It’s proved invaluable to us for the Playlists and Audience demographics
8. Beware some of the other services,for example, we opted for Ditto Promotion to complement our release….. and it was totally underwhelming despite the foundation we had put in place for them using MusoSoup.

Results- We saw our monthly listeners grow from around 800 to 4400 at campaign peak, all this through an investment of about £500…..not earth shattering and we had no viral posts but it certainly helped our band create a healthy SEO footprint on the web and it has opened more doors for us on our journey …

This is by far the best source to help promote your music. It is easy to use and I love the variety of playlists, reviews and features you can choose from.

I've gotten more coverage and streams of my music in a month than I've ever received in over 10 years as a solo artist. Thank you Musosoup!

If you look through the curators, none of them actually have any organic reach. They all just make money from people paying for reviews and have low to no organic reach. I'd actually be quite hesitant accepting any of the playlist options as I'd worry about bots or disingenuous streams.

Its dissapointing as I thought it was made by musicians but its actually taking advantage of musicians. Its letting people buy reviews based on money not talent which is misleading to people. I'd rather a refund and not accept any offers but I can get a reply.

I had the chance to use Musosoup after Chris, the co-founder, offered me a free trial for my first release. The platform itself is genuinely useful and has potential, but the main issue lies with some of the vendors they onboard. Too many seem more focused on taking money than providing real value.

For example, one blog writer delivered content that was clearly AI-generated. When I raised this, the blogger became aggressively defensive, and when I escalated it to Chris, the conversation just stopped — no closure. That was disappointing.

That said, I don’t put the blame entirely on Musosoup. The idea is strong, and I’ve seen good results too. But they really need to take responsibility for how the platform operates and hold curators accountable, because one bad experience can hurt their reputation in the industry. We’re paying with hard-earned money, and the least they can do is monitor and step in when things go south.

I’ve started another campaign now, this time for my label (ZYNC Records). Hoping to see better results this round.

Wish we had known about this service earlier! Musosop was very easy to use and got our new release noticed by a variety of music bloggers and influencers. If you do your homework on each curator and their offer and choose the best bang for your buck, the relationships created by Musosoup can be very beneficial and cost-effective. I’m currently promoting my second song on Musosoup, and it’s going really well. It’s a great and, most importantly, affordable platform to give your music a boost through various social media channels, blogs, and more. I’m really glad I discovered it.

I have been pitched by many simular services. Not one has been able to deliver like Musosoup. They are professional, reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with. I highly recomend them.

I got an offer and it was free for me and tbh I don’t think I’ll pay for a next one. It’s not that I didn’t receive any good offers, it was a bit overwhelming even but paying for those offers and then pay musosoup as well is quite expensive for a solo artist just starting out. I think if you can split the costs between band members it’s a no brainer and you should do it. Overall I was very happy with the service but as said for me as a solo artist a bit expensive, maybe once I actually start making money from my music I’ll reconsider the service.

Musosoup allowed for my music to be heard from all types of curators around the world. Although you’ll be denied by some curators because your music might not be their taste but the vast variety of other curators overshadows that fact.

You have to make an initial one off payment to initiate your campaign. Then curators will make offers, where you have the choice to pay them money for them to write a review, insta post, tik tok video, etc. If you decide not to pay them, then the free alternative is usually a spotify playlist add. These playlists usually seem to have very few listeners. The curators blogs all write very positive reviews of the music they review. I'm very doubtful of the amount of traffic these blogs get. I could be wrong. It seems to that you're basically just paying for a positive review, to be read by very few people. Or your initial campaign fee, ensures spotify playlist adds.
