It was one of the most difficult moment, but not for once was I left on my own. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Unfortunately, I would not recommend MSB based on my experience purchasing my first home.

My purchase took almost 12 months to complete, and throughout that time one of the biggest frustrations was communication. It was incredibly difficult to speak to someone, calls and messages went unanswered, and I regularly felt like I had to chase for basic updates myself.

As a first-time buyer, I expected a lot more guidance. I had never been through the conveyancing process before and was relying on my solicitors to explain what was happening, what I needed to do and what my options were. Instead, there were so many points where I felt completely in the dark and had to try to work things out myself.

There were also repeated communication issues throughout the purchase. At one stage, my purchase had barely progressed because they said they hadn’t received the memorandum of sale, despite me having the original email showing it had been sent to the firm. I eventually had to forward it myself. I also experienced unanswered calls, confusion around documents and repeatedly having to ask whether information and money I had sent had actually been received. Never recieved an update unless I chased it myself. They didn’t even do any work on my file for nearly three months and they admitted no fault, even though I had proof.

Even towards completion, I was sent important financial documentation with no explanation and then had to query it myself before an amended completion statement was sent.

What disappointed me even more was the way my complaint was handled afterwards. I put together a detailed complaint with emails and evidence showing the issues I had experienced, yet several things were disputed and denied because there was apparently “no record” of them internally. This was particularly frustrating when some of the evidence I provided showed that communications had taken place even though they weren’t showing on their file.

There were two members of staff who genuinely seemed to care and tried to help me, and I actually feel sorry for them because my experience with them was completely different. Unfortunately, the overall service I received from the majority of the team, including the lead conveyer and some of my experiences with reception, came across as dismissive and at times rude.

Buying your first home is already stressful enough. You shouldn’t have to spend almost a year feeling like you’re constantly chasing the people you’ve paid to guide you through it.

I expected a professional, supportive service, particularly as a first-time buyer. Sadly, that wasn’t my experience.

Charles was efficient and professional throughout the process. He answered all questions with patience and expertise.

If you know you want a responsive, competent solicitor, this is not the place for you. Thoroughly disorganised in their affairs, with zero sense of urgency or communication.

I can’t recommend MSB highly enough. The service has been incredibly professional, and everything has always been explained to us clearly and thoroughly throughout the process.

I would especially like to mention Nicola Harris, who has been one of the main reasons I continue to recommend MSB to others. Nicola is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and always takes the time to guide us in the right direction. She clearly knows her work very well and has been a great support throughout.

Very disappointing experience. Communication has been a major issue throughout my case. Emails go unanswered, and I have had to repeatedly chase for updates just to find out what is happening.

My case has now gone well beyond the timeframe I was originally given at the beginning, yet I still have very little information about where things currently stand. The lack of communication has made an already stressful situation even more stressful.

When you hire a solicitor, you expect clear communication, regular updates and support throughout the process. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite. Dealing with this firm has caused me more stress rather than helping to resolve the issue.

If you see this review, please don’t ask me to contact customer care. I have already spent enough time trying to get updates and I don’t have the time or energy to deal with another team. All I am asking for is a response to my emails, better communication, and for my case to be dealt with and completed.

Unfortunately, from what I have seen, I am not the only person experiencing issues with communication and slow progress, which makes this even more disappointing.

Overall, I am very disappointed with the level of communication and service I have received.

I was assigned Katie Camozzi to deal with my case and absolutely nothing was too much for her. Every request, question or action was dealt with almost instantly.
So so helpful.
