Signed up for a fuel card and had communication issues from day one. Emailed my onboarding contact multiple times with basic account queries — never got a single response.
Specific unresolved issues: BP confirmed my card could be linked to their app but said I needed a code from Motia to do it. Never provided, despite asking. I also never received a single fuel price notification the entire time I was a customer, despite this being part of the service.
On sign-up I was told there’d be a one-off admin fee. I was then charged multiple unexplained admin fees over time, which I let slide because the card was still working out cheaper overall.
The final straw was a £60 admin fee for a failed payment. I called to query it — they couldn’t tell me if the failure was on my end, my bank’s end, or theirs, but charged the fee regardless. No investigation, no explanation, just a bill.
The only time I got a prompt response from this company was when I asked to close my account. Draw your own conclusions. If you’re considering a fuel card for your business, look elsewhere — support here is nonexistent until you’re trying to leave.

Service end communication

DONT GO NEAR THEM ! THERE ARE COMPANIES OUT THERE WHO WILL CHARGE YOU LITRALLY 50% LESS THAN THESE CLOWNS FOR THE SAME SERVICE AND THEY DONT EXPECT YOU TO SIGN UP FOR 2 YEARS, AS SOON AS YOU TRY CANCEL AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT WHICH IS WELL WITHIN YOUR RIGHT AND NOT RENEW THEY CLAIM THAT YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM A EXTRA 90 DAYS NOTICE AS ITS IN THE SMALL PRINT , CHARGING YOU THEN WHEN YOU QUESTION IT JUST SEND THE COURT LETTER OUT , ABSALOUTE RATS . STAY AWAY. WILL NOT RECCOMEND TO ANYONE

First rate was 1 Star as I didn't ask for any of the extras but I keep getting emails saying I have them.
Login to account doesn't accept any password, so I have no access.
I have amended this to 4 stars now as everything has been rectified in a timely manor. My account manager Sasha has been exellent in getting everything retified and updating me.

Customer opetator was so helpful processing my request fuel card told me about it use and keeps me updated on recieval card

Speaking for my employer, MJ Engineering Ltd - as a company, we have used Motia (formerly Fuel Card Services) for quite a few years. Always efficient and very pleasant to deal with, we have found that on the rare occasion we have a problem, the support team are always available and very quick to provide any necessary assistance. Can't fault them and happy to recommend to others.

I have been a customer for many years and recently I had to change things, I was dealing with Jasper Rebello is was superb, did everything I asked for and more, he cancelled things I didn't use or need. 10/10 for this young man!

The price they quote is the best out there but the hidden charges, taxes add up..... also you can't get in contact with them to sort any issues. There phone line doesn't work .

Good overall experience with Motia. The fuel card is straightforward to use and the service has been reliable. Pricing has generally been competitive and the account is easy to manage. A solid option for a small haulage business.

Very attentive and helped find the right solution for my company as regarding fuel cards and mileage expense reporting. Clearly explained the requirements as regards my company being registered at a virtual office and the documents required to prove my home address.
