My prescription was sent by Alternaleaf on Monday and wasn't processed by Montu until Thursday, after the daily cut-off time. As a result, my medication won't be delivered until Monday.

To be clear, I don't actually mind waiting. What I struggle with is managing expectations and communication. If I'm told to allow three working days from receiving confirmation at 12:15pm on Monday, I would reasonably expect processing to be completed by around 12:15pm on Thursday. That should have allowed enough time to place my order before the cut-off and avoid further delays.

My bigger concern is the level of support available when you need help. Attempting to contact someone via the live chat was extremely frustrating. I would start a chat, wait for a response, only to later receive an email containing the chat transcript despite nobody ever joining the conversation. The chat would simply time out, forcing me to start over again.

Calling by phone wasn't much more reassuring. The person I spoke to was polite, but unfortunately didn't seem confident or knowledgeable about what was happening with my prescription. It left me with the impression that they had very little visibility of the process or ability to provide meaningful updates.

Considering Montu is the pharmacy used by Alternaleaf, this doesn't inspire much confidence. Things are easy when everything goes smoothly, but what matters is knowing you can get clear answers and support when something goes wrong. At the moment, I'm not convinced that's the case.

As a new patient, this experience has left me questioning whether I chose the right clinic and pharmacy combination. I'm already considering whether it may be worth paying the transfer fee and moving to MaMedica in the future.

Overall, it's not the waiting time that's disappointed me, it's the lack of communication, poor customer contact experience, and the uncertainty that comes with it.

Not impressed.

Awful pharmacy stock is very limited, usually all the £5:£6 a gram flowers is never available only higher priced ones are.,was left 7 weeks with no medication due to having a 6 mths review appt. Still waiting for my emergency prescription which I was told to order due to bing so long without. Will definitely be looking to change from Alternleaf and Montu

Service is awful, can't get through on phone, instant chat just leaves you waiting 24 hours and when you finally speak to someone they tell you completely different info to what is on the site. Quite ironic that my prescription is for anxiety yet trying to deal with this pharmacy is sending my anxiety soaring.

Absolute waste of time. Horrible experience.

I have had a horrible experience with Montu UK and have never once received a delivery on time. My latest order (#668302) ended up completely falling through and resulted in a refund, which is incredibly frustrating when you are waiting on essential medication.

I've switched over to Curaleaf, which is a far better company all around. Their delivery is actually reliable, and the product quality is vastly superior. Don't waste your time with Montu.

The fact that I actually felt valued and listened to and they took me seriously explained everything clearly and everything was very efficient pleasantly surprised.

Great products and a great service.
Quick and effortless.

Been a patient for 4 months now and haven't had an issue. Stock can be inconsistent but there's a lot of alternative choice. Their customer service is also top notch which I was pleasantly surprised by considering the cheap monthly payment. Oh and that £5/m you're spending with Alternaleaf gets discounted on your first order of each month (as well as free delivery on first monthly order) so your membership with Alternaleaf is practically free (both Montu and Alternaleaf share the same parent company)

While i know not everyone has been as lucky, I haven't had a single delivery late yet either which is awesome considering its next day special delivery with Royal Mail.

Called a second time and super star Kacey saved the day she was super on the ball and needs recognition for fixing a problem I was told couldn't be fixed

Edit: the reply implies they would contact me to resolve it, but they didn't. what a surprise....

Literally ignored me and my complaint, offered to follow up with formal complaints process then fully ignored me.

Montu aren't there to facilite access to medication, they're there to make money, and the service and consistency shows that.

The doctors I spoke to really listen to me, I have been on the prescription for 2 weeks now and I can’t believe how different my mindset is. I would definitely recommend this !!!!
