Perfect model/ imperfect shipping route

The model is PERFECT!
Arrived safely in hard core packaging to prevent any damage. I love it.
My only complaint: I live in Canada. it shipped from the Uk to the USA for some reason I do not understand. It therefore took more shipping time and more importantly it costed additional USA tariffs/ import charges. Why couldn’t it be shipped directly to me in Canada?

Waited a week to see this has finally been marked posted by seller for the 2 item purchased. This was only posted by seller following raising this with PayPal for buyer protection. I will not be buying again from this seller. Still awaiting a response from this seller, ive tried emailing, tired phoning and cannot get hold of this seller at all.

We don't operate a phone line, and we don't advertise one anywhere. To reach us, please use the contact form at model-universe.com/contact-us or email support@model-universe.com directly. When a support ticket is successfully created, you'll receive an automatic reply with a ticket number — we have no record of receiving a query through either of those channels, which is why we have not been able to respond to you.
Regarding your parcel: as we explained through the PayPal query, it was handed over to Royal Mail via our Regular Business Collection on 28th August. Royal Mail collection officers do not scan individual parcels at the point of collection — they scan a single manifest, which does not trigger individual tracking updates. Tracking only updates once parcels are scanned at the depot, in this case Wolverhampton.
We understand the lack of tracking movement is frustrating, but we can assure you the parcel was dispatched as stated on the 28th August. Wolverhampton's slow processing times over bank holiday weekends are well documented online, and it normally takes Royal Mail 3 working days to clear a bank holiday backlog nationally on non-next day parcels. It is also well-documented online that it can take weeks for under-staffed and under-resourced local depots (as Wolverhampton depot is known to be) to clear a bank holiday backlog.
For an unbiased opinion, you can Google "Are Royal Mail Business Parcels scanned at regular collection or not" and the AI Overview will confirm that parcels are not individually scanned upon collection. It is not like when you go to the post-office and the parcels are scanned straight away.
