This was the first time I'd used Megabus to get to Bristol Airport. I was very impressed as the bus was on time both ways and the drivers were cheerful and helped with my luggage.
The ticket price was an absolute bargain and cheaper than paying the drop off charge at the Airport (the journey takes 40 mins).
I'll definitely be using Megabus again.

Excellent service
Over 2 days I did a return journey from Edinburgh Airport to Buchanan Street Station Glasgow, both buses were on time and the drivers were very helpful and friendly.

Replaced the new citylink bus with a rented one that had seen better days. Driver had to keep stopping to de mist the windscreen as his heaters/blowers wernt working. My luggage was in the boot space. 3hours later when I got to Aberdeen my bag was drenched including the contents within

The bus journey was fine as the bus was warm and arrived more or less on time as we left Aberdeen 20 minutes late.
The bus was to leave at 9.10 am; however, at 9.09 there was no bus driver in the bus parked in No. 4 stance so I went to the office to ask when the bus driver will arrive and he said that the bus ws coming from the depot and would be at the station in 10 - 20 minutes. I asked him why no one had been sent to inform the passengers and he said he had only recived the news; that I did not believe. So I told the passengers and most returned to the inside waiting area.

Reserving seats ( extra price) does not work effectively You live in fear of being turfed out mid journey !!Reserved seats need to be ticketed like trains
They do not now allow booking return journeys beyond 28 days which has made it more expensive You have to pay for 2 single journeys

Customer service is a joke
Customer service is a joke. Somehow I managed to enter an incorrect date for my ticket, and Customer "Service" was an absolute joke. I had to create an account, and give Megabus lots of personal information for the to sell on, because the person who answered the phone was unable to rectify a simple error when I originally made the booking. Obviously nobody further up the food chain was available. Once I had created an account, the process was far from simple to change the booking. I only needed to change the return journey, but I had to reselect the outward journey as well, before I could pay for my mistake. I then had to repeat the process for the second ticket and pay a further charge. Considering both tickets had been bought on one transaction, I as particularly annoyed at having to pay twice to amend them. This is extortion.
