Don't waste your time or your money on this company. My experience was that they assured me they were "absolutely certain" they would find me a wonderful partner. I had only tried the commonly used online dating services, so I foolishly believed the Matchmaking company would be different. They told me I would have my own personal matchmaker, who would guide me and follow up after my dates. The cost seemed outrageous, however, I was deceived by their enthusiasm to sign up, and paid $1,500. They are very slick with their sales pitch. It turned out that my assigned matches were mostly unhealthy old men who did not fit my stated preferences, and with every match, I had a different "personal" matchmaker following up with me. Also, two of the men I was matched with didn't bother to show up for the date, yet they counted as two of my five allowed matches. This service is no better than Match.com or any of the others. These people are thieves and liars. Don't trust them!

Leigh Ann was amazing! She took two hours out of her day to talk to me when she didn't have to! I learned a lot on our call she helped me setup everything to send to my matchmaker. She's a blessing definitely need more like her! Thank you Leigh Ann for taking care of me!

I rate the company 4 stars but my matchmaker, Lisa Gunnett, 5 stars. She has been exceptionally kind and helpful throughout this long journey, Lisa suggested that I go on two breaks from the program due to some very difficult health issues. One involved ligaments wrapped around my S1 nerve affecting my ability to walk, the second was losing about 80% of my voice due to intubation during that surgery. I had one man agree to meet me, then cancel within 15 minutes because he told Lisa that he couldn’t understand a word I said. I was very disheartened because it counted as one of my matches.
Lisa explained things carefully along the way in a way that was easy to understand. She tried very hard to follow my preferences. I enjoyed her sense of humor. Lisa showed great empathy when a match didn’t go well, and tried to give me some pointers to increase my chances of success. I felt like she really cared about me and my feelings. One time I told her that I felt like things didn’t go well, and she offered to call the man I met to ask him his perspective about the date. Sure enough he told her that he wished me well but that I wasn’t a good match for him. Another man decided that it was way too far for him to drive to date me. None of these situations were under my sweet matchmaker’s control. Lisa listened each time and gave me a lot of encouragement to keep trying. She almost felt at times like a big sister coaching me along, rooting for me from the sidelines. These are just a few of the reasons why I have appreciated my matchmaker’s (Lisa Gunnett) efforts!

If I could, I would give this NO stars. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I met at the San Antonio branch with someone named Tracy. Speech was slow and slurred, eyes were glassy, she had a vape out on her desk. She was clearly drunk. I will NEVER try and come here again. Obviously I was not taken seriously and when I told her that I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave, she kept asking me why and trying to pressure me to stay.

The matches were all very nice. The company seemed interested in supporting the process. I would try them again.

Lisa has been very helpful in the counseling process and helping me understand the big picture with end goal in mind.

The whole process form start to the point I meant the Second Lady was all I was thinking about walking into the office for the first time. Really great experience.

I would be cautious with all the reviewers that recently signed up and submitting reviews. Seems suspect to me. Reviews of members that have been signed up for 6-12 months are a better reflection of the service this matchmaker provides. So go for those reviews and read what is stated about this company. Good luck in your dating!

Disappointed with the service

I thought that by paying for this service, I would receive professional and reliable service. Unfortunately, my experience was completely different. I feel that I was misled and that my appointments were a waste of time and money. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service to anyone.

I was skeptical at first and anxious, but after speaking with Leighann, I am feeling hopeful again. She went above and beyond and made me feel heard, understood and answered all of my questions. I have had a rough yr this last yr and Leighann was empathetic and compassionate when speaking with me. I am very excited and again hopeful working with matchmaking.

Exceptional Experience With Professional Dating DMV Matchmaking Services

I want to take a moment to recognize the exceptional, professional, and personalized service I received throughout my four-month dating journey. From the beginning, the matchmaking team took the time to understand who I was, what I was looking for in a relationship, and the qualities and personal standards that were important to me in a potential partner.

Because of the nature of my professional career, discretion, personal safety, and trust are extremely important to me. I specifically wanted to meet women who had been properly vetted and background-checked. The team understood those requirements and worked diligently to introduce me to women who were compatible with my expectations, lifestyle, values, and relationship goals.

Over the course of three months, I was introduced to several elegant, intelligent, accomplished, and genuinely interesting women. These introductions were not simply based on superficial characteristics. The matchmaking team made an effort to consider compatibility, including education, career, socioeconomic background, age, culture, upbringing, personal values, communication styles, and long-term relationship expectations.

Most importantly, they helped me think more carefully about what makes a healthy and sustainable relationship. I was looking for someone with whom I could establish clear communication, mutual respect, balanced teamwork, individual freedom, shared values, and fair conflict resolution. I wanted a relationship where both people could maintain their own interests and goals while building something meaningful together.

One of the introductions was particularly successful. I developed a relationship with one of the women I was introduced to, and we ultimately dated for more than eight months. That experience alone demonstrated to me the value of having knowledgeable professionals who take compatibility seriously rather than simply matching people based on a few common interests.

I also appreciated that the team encouraged me to look beyond simply finding someone attractive and instead consider the qualities that contribute to a healthy, stable, and lasting relationship. They helped me recognize the importance of emotional maturity, mutual acceptance, respect for boundaries, communication, personal growth, and the ability to handle disagreements without manipulation, cruelty, or unnecessary conflict.

Overall, I found the matchmaking team to be professional, respectful, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping me find compatible people. They listened to my expectations, respected my standards, and provided a level of personalized service that I have not experienced with traditional online dating platforms.

I appreciate that matchmakers do a background check. They also ask lots of questions to match you with someone with similar interests. The 2 dates I’ve been on have been with quality gentlemen.

The Matchmaking Company has been professional and responsive to any and all my inquiries. My Matchmaking coach Janel, has been positive, very upbeat, attentive and takes all of my needs into account before suggesting matches. She is quick to always call me back and spends a lot of time listening to assure she matches me well.

Michelle was truly kind and generous. I loved working with her.

I paid thousands of dollars for what was sold as personalized matchmaking. After eight introductions, ZERO matches fully met the parameters I provided.

I was clear that I wanted marriage and children and gave them an age preference connected to those goals. Every woman I was introduced to was above that preference, and I was also matched with women who did not want children.

Some were wonderful women. That's not my complaint. Nobody can guarantee chemistry. I expected introductions to people who reasonably fit what I hired them to find.

Rebecca, who sold me the service, is the ONLY person who had a substantive conversation with me about what I wanted. Neither matchmaker subsequently responsible for choosing my matches did.

At least three matches independently told me my original matchmaker, Ashley, had described me and my career in ways I believe were inaccurate and negatively framed. Eventually, both a match and I complained, and Ashley was transferred to another office. Her replacement has never even called me to discuss what I'm looking for.

Most troubling, FOUR of my eight matches independently told me they were unhappy with the company and trying to obtain refunds. They told me they believed going on our date would help them receive a refund or was required as part of the process. I can only report what they told me, but half my dates were with women who said they were already trying to leave the service.

I've repeatedly tried to escalate my concerns, including calling other offices, only to be routed back to the same person I've asked not to handle my account.

I didn't pay for a guaranteed marriage. I paid for professional matchmaking.

They didn't owe me the finish line. They owed me a legitimate starting line. After eight introductions and zero matches meeting my criteria, I don't believe they ever put me in the right race.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.
UPDATE: It has now been a couple of weeks since the company publicly responded to this review saying they wanted the opportunity to speak with me and address my concerns. Despite that response, no one has contacted me or made any attempt to follow up.

Unfortunately, that only reinforces my impression that the public response was intended to placate me and reassure prospective customers reading this review, rather than a genuine effort to resolve the issues I raised.

When I signed up for a series of six matches, I was impressed with the thoroughness of my intake interview. I wasn't talking with my "personal matchmaker" but with a slick saleswoman who knew the right buttons and phrases to push. After that, there were no more personal meetings, not even a zoom call. My first matchmaker left the company within a few months. She was replaced by another one, who also didn't stick around very long. This should have been a red flag! I was never offered a chance to meet either women, so they're all relying on notes. A third matchmaker was a young man. We only communicated by phone and the feedback forms the company requests after each date. Supposedly this is their method for refining a client's desires and wishes in a match.

Not one of the six really came close to what I was hoping to meet. My guess is that they screen for age, area code and height. The rest is pure luck. In my area, and age group, there are many more single women than men. I was trusting my matchmakers to be more selective than I, with the added advantage that they had a much larger pool to select from. That turned out not to be the case.

The phone calls I had with the last two matchmakers were uncomfortable, as I was blamed for not provding feedback. Which I did.

I've delt with other matchmakers as I was on their database. These others are more respectful, thorough and provide more hands on service than The Matchmaking Company. All these others provide at least one photo of their proposed date, allowing one to accept or not. I'm not one to go on a total blind date. My time is worth more to me than that. The Matchmaking Company's policy is no photos. They operate on a hope and a prayer methodology.

In sum, three matchmakers in two years. No photos. No meetings. No zoom. Little internal communcations between matchmakers. Most dates were way off the mark. Argumentative conversations. Passing the blame back to the client. High fees.

If you feel you need the services of a professional matchmaker, there are other options out there. Avoid this one!
