Absolutely awful NOT HAPPY AT ALL
Absolutely awful ! M and s use to fe brilliant. Customer service is non existence. I have won the Percy pig competition, sent it over to them and it’s been a 3 weeks no correspondence whatsoever ! When I called them they are so unhelpful and tells you to email. Emailed 3 times .. guess what …. Yep … nothing. I will be taking this further if I don’t hear from them
M&S Car Insurance automatic renewal
M&S Car Insurance automatic renewal for 2024. The Policy premium quote went up exorbitantly for this coming year (I had been with them for a few years) so I shopped around. I consequently found better cover for £100 less and have found it extremely difficult to disentangle myself from the automatic renewal. To try and telephone the company is nigh on impossible and their online holding on music is enough to send you mentally insane - try holding on for twenty minutes and more and you will see what I mean!
Another odd thing about this the Policy is that personal belongings cover gives favour to M&S own brand products by £100 and they don’t cover what is really needed ie money, debit/credit cards and mobiles.
My advice is shop around.

Bought online. Needed to return item. Can't do so without an account. But website won't let me create an account. Can't reach anyone on phone or chat. Only have 7 days to make the return and I am working now every day. Utterly useless. Won't shop here again

Dressing gown falling apart after only 3 months
After having an M&S dressing gown for 15 years I finally had to replace it. It was a bit bobbly in places but completely intact. I replaced it with a Fleece Hooded dressing gown in January. Today I realise the right hand pocket has a hole along the bottom. After only 3 months. I don't even put anything in the pocket, it has gradually opened up and so the quality is obviously not up to standard. I could sew it myself, but I shouldn't need tp

Don’t pay for their house content, emergency cover as my last two emergencies have been treated as anything but ie waiting for an emergency call from 1pm as house insecure and can’t leave as front door won’t lock…it’s now10pm & tumbleweed from anyone M&S related… disgusting… couldn’t give two hoots as long as exhorbatent monthly premium payments keep rolling in… shame on you M&S

Drama! 9 maart retour gestuurd en bij Klaarna gegregistreerd. Geen communicatie hierover, niets. Vandaag volledig bedrag van mijn rekening afgeschreven en geen mogelijkheid om te communiceren. Ze beweren zelfs dat dit niet gebeurd is🙈 !!! Conclusie. Niet bestellen tenzij je het zeker bent dat je niets terug wilt sturen. Heel jammer omdat de producten voor kinderen erg leuk zijn.

Absolutely shocking service
Absolutely shocking service, we ordered a wardrobe thinking the quality and service would be better than IKEA. How wrong could we be.
The wardrobe came with parts missing, fair enough things happen.
We then spent an hour trying to speak to someone from the so called customer service. We were told within 24 hours we would have some communication as the parts were not in stock. 3 days later not hearing a thing (all whilst my little girls room was upside down still) I’m on the phone for another hour asking what’s going on. No one seems to have a clue.
Ive been passed to 3 different people who can barely speak English to get it resolved.
I’ve asked for my money back if they don’t sort it ASAP and it would be down to us to dismantle the part of the wardrobe that’s currently built and put it all back in the boxes. I’ve told them no chance as it’s more time wasted
I have no faith the refund would be processed without me spending more hours on the phone chasing it up. If I could give a 0 star I would.

Online Ordering Gone Mad
I travelled 20 miles yesterday to collect my order: an M&S handbag. On the last mile, I got a msg: ‘No delivery yet to store’! I walked the last mile, to see if there just might be that handbag in-store and -- sure enough, there it was with a lot of others on a rack. Could I collect that one? Oh, no: that wasn't the one I’d ordered and there was no way to cancel! I'd have to make a NEW PURCHASE, doubling my cost until money came back from the order! I even felt sorry for the department manager, who had no authority in the dystopian disconnect between SHOP and BUYING ONLINE. M&S, you’ve made us all victims of your nifty, profit-driven algorithms.
Appalling Car Insurance
I was with Marks and Spencer Car insurance several years.
Each year that I renewed my car insurance with them it took them 7 to 10 days to have my car put on the Insurance Database, so that meant I was running around and any Police Car with an ANP Camera would have been pinging me for having no insurance on my car. I brought this to their attention every year but nobody rectified the situation and last year one man told me I was welcome to find another company.
This year they raised the price of my car insurance and they wanted £21 a month extra. I called them and they did not care and they could not tell me why they had raised my car insurance by that huge amount every month as I had made no claims in all the time I was with them.
I refused to continue with their Insurance Policy and I found another company who would increase my cover at a lot less cost and wait for this, my new cover started today at 1 minute past midnight and my car is registered on the car insurance database already.
It shows how Bad Marks and Spencer car insurance is.
My advice to all is stay clear of them and look elsewhere for Your car insurance cover
Can't post a negative product review
I bought 3 items of clothing from M&S on line. I use the term "clothing" loosely.
I have cleaned my car with better cloths than 2 of the tops I received so returned them immediately.
The reason for leaving this 1 star review is, that try as I might I am unable to leave a product review on the M&S website. That leaves me wondering how reliable the customer reviews are which are shown against their products on line. I won't be buying on line again
M&S Car Insurance

My policy document states that I can drive another car Third-party if I have the owners permission
I’ve never made a claim or driven any other car and was with them for quite a few years, however when I had a mechanical fault they said I could not drive another car as mine was not road-worthy. At that stage no mechanic had looked at the car! So the only time I needed it I couldn’t use it so what is the point!
They also failed to point out other benefits and cover I could use, like breakdown cover
I would say they are a grocer and not a proper insurance company
I strongly advise not to use them for car insurance and probably any other insurance
( I like their best ever prawn sandwiches though ~ my little luxury) I’m now signed up with AA for my car insurance

Restrictions on the afternoon tea
So disappointed in Marks. Had heard they have an afternoon tea in their cafe so as it was mum’s birthday thought we would go for a treat along with the family. I phoned customer service to ensure the cafe at the Braehead store sold afternoon teas and whether you needed to book was told that Braehead did do the teas and no need to book.
Got my elderly mum all organised and off to Braehead, on arrival at the cafe (11:45am) I asked a waitress about the afternoon teas she yes they do them and just order at till. Back of menu advertising afternoon teas, great.
Stood in queue to be told by cashier only after 2pm.
At no time when asking any customer service persons or the back of menu does it state after 2pm.
Due to our time restrictions we did not get our tea. Very disappointed.
Feel this fact that it is after 2pm should be made clearer so that customer service know and clearly stated on the menu therefore not leading to the same disappointment we had.
