Unfortunately, the customer service gave totally misleading and not legitimate information about trademark governmental fees, justifying why they need to file for $350 and not for $250:
"About 43% of trademark applications filed via TEAS Plus receive an approval without any refusals. Less than 15% of trademark applications filed through TEAS Standard are approved without a rejection. This means that there is a greater than 50% probability that a US trademark application filed via TEAS Standard will be receive a rejection that will require additional legal services to address."
After my own research, it appeared to be the opposite to what was mentioned by the associate above.

We do not add hidden fees or unexpected charges beyond what is disclosed upfront.
Regarding the filing fees, the USPTO offers different application options, including TEAS Plus ($250 per class) and TEAS Standard ($350 per class). TEAS Plus has specific requirements, including a pre-approved list of goods/services and stricter application rules. TEAS Standard, while more flexible, typically results in a higher likelihood of needing additional legal work due to refusals or office actions.
Our recommendation to use TEAS Standard in certain cases is based on our experience handling thousands of trademark applications each year. However, we always strive to provide clients with all available options so they can make an informed decision.
