Only been with them a number of weeks and haven’t been paid on a number of occasions no real process for issues other than the standard 3-5 day response via email and I’m 99% certain the process for vetting the companies you work for are non existent. Manpower/Royal Mail Role -
This is very similar to a previous reviewers experience sadly.
I have also wasted hours on an application for a Royal Mail test kit delivery driver, this time in Eastbourne.
I Applied for the role a number of times as I never had a response but eventually had a telephone interview, I was told over the phone that I have secured the role and to complete the vetting information which will be requested within a week. This was lengthy and I entered a lot of personal information that is now stored on either Royal Mail systems/Manpower or both.
This was all completed on 29th January but have heard nothing since despite many emails to Manpower.
I have only just seen in another review that these positions have been withdrawn but nobody could be professional enough to contact me. Awful company and I will also be complaining to RM so that they are aware how rubbish Manpower are.
I was employed by Manpower from the 30th of November till 12th January this year.
Work was good at Parcel Hub, need to improve vastly in communication hence the score at the top

Be cautious of this agency as I had no choice but to post what this agency was like till I've got everything rectified. It took me 2 months to get a small pay but at least they've done it but still got the issue about my accrued AL and all I know is I'm with an excellent employer who actually look after their staff now

So I've been promised P45 & P60 at the close of day 3rd of May, Did I????? NO
All I've seen is lies and then the Newcastle office has the audicity to try and ask me if I want to work for the company.
It's a shame about how the company is run as you can't even talk to them on the phone and as for the communication via email is atrocious.
I've merely asked for my P45 and HMRC rectified that, now let HMRC deal with this bunch of clowns and hope it's a juicy 5 figure sum. To top that I've got both P60's from Pension company and Ocado so what's holding this buffoon of a company

I am not spending too much time raising this complaint as I have already wasted hours on an application for a Royal Mail test kit delivery driver.

Received my DBS check paperwork and then chased the Manpower Leeds office today (18/1/22) to find out when the start would be.
Advised by an apologetic call handler that Royal Mail have removed these positions and the roles no longer exist.
Absolutely appalling behaviour, treating people who have spent lots of time completing information which can be just withdrawn at a whim.
Also very very disappointed with Manpower who clearly wouldn't have got in touch to advise of the removal of the roles.
Wont use Manpower or Royal Mail again - scandalous given that companies keep saying they cant fill vacancies - not surprised if this is how companies and recruiters behave.

I've had to give them one piece of information 4 different times, it's like no one communicates with each other. Can't help but think that they lose my information and at times wonder if some of what they are asking is my job to do or theirs. Really really sorry that I wasted so much time with them when I could have been applying elsewhere. Very annoyed and disappointed, every single morning I wake up and see an email from them I know it will be a headache, after these reviews I would hate to go through all this for them to mess with my pay as well, so. Not gonna work for me.

I was interested in government bootcamp upgrade to ADR. Unfortunately my application was rejected without giving a reason. They will reject anybody that wont accept cat in a bag. They need you to change a job after course otherwise they will lose some funding.
You should be more clear about requirements.

Nothing arrived so i chased Man Power, waited days for a reply to be told position filled! Why say you have a job then position filled? Expressed my disatisfaction via email which was not responded to. Very unprofessional, ill be feeding back to Royal Mail how this was handled.

I have dealt with Manpower for some years. They have got from bad to worse. They either got IT issues or issues with their consultants/Advisers who do not play ball. Some of the agency staff are being paid incorrectly because their online timesheets are either being posted late or not at all. This in turn causes issues for staff either not being paid or incorrectly paid then direct the blame to the company trying to input staff times.
Also note, if you do sign up to Manpower, if you want to change to another Agency then you have to stand down for approximately 8 weeks. I would advise anyone to sign up with Pertemps instead. There's less hassle and the staff there are very approachable and will correct any issues sooner rather than later or, in some cases with Manpower, not at all...

Applied for part time mail sorter job at Royal Mail Atherstone. Was told to attend the depot for registration, which I did and handed over all identity documentation, during this I was the invited for an induction the following week. I was advised that I would receive an email offering shifts and i should confirm which shifts I could work. Three weeks and numerous calls later I have still not received the said email. I have wasted four hours of my life driving and attending the Royal Mail depot for the registration and induction for nothing. I have made numerous calls to the Manpower call centre where they cannot help so they say they will get the local team to call me back but no one ever does. Total waste of time and energy, if you are looking for work i would avoid using this company. Very stressful experience.

I had a phone call back in october 2 days after I applied guy was happy with my responses and then said keep any eye for email regarding documentation we need you to upload. And they also asked how soon could I start I told them immediately. The chap ont he phone was ecstatic as they needed drivers urgently” YEAH RIGHT
Did all the document uploads then the following week got an email to say they “rejected” my right to work doc cause all “4 corners was not visible in the pic”
And up until now I have heard NOTHING you try calling and it goes straight to voicemail and the emails are all non reply emails.
Please don’t waste your time I’ve givin up with this now.
Note to manpower DO NOT MESS WITH PEOLES LIVELIHOODS it’s bloody disgusting.

Shame I can’t give a zero.
Quite frankly this is the worst recruitment company I have dealt with in all my years as a contractor. I have no contact person in the company and I’m being passed from pillar to post to get my invoices sent through to my umbrella company. No-body answers the phone or responds to messages. Lots of staff leaving all the time. 6 invoices not paid and the worst of it is they said the other day that I was not on their system! Were they asleep when they issued me the work contract? My advice is not to work through this company if you have a choice. First it was manpower, then Experis and then Taifin I was dealing with and now Taifin is ghosting us. Each is as bad as the other. I will be complaining to their head office when I can track them down that is. Surprised they are still in business!
Also, before my first day of the contract they failed to send me details on whether I needed to go into the office and if so where to go and whom to meet. They said they would have my laptop sent out over the weekend but it didn’t arrive and on Monday morning I ended up going into the office to pick it up. I had to text my Manager directly on the Sunday night to check details. Terrible people to deal with! So incompetent!

Detailed below is my experience in order to help others and hopefully to improve services for future employees:
Pros:
- Job application submission was straightforward.
- Compliance checks pre-employment website was clear and easy to navigate.
- My timesheets were accepted and I was paid on time every week (after meeting the weekly deadline).
- Staff were friendly over the phone/zoom.
Cons:
- Waited well over a month to hear anything regarding start date/next steps of the role I'd accepted (did concern me and nearly abandoned role due to lack of finances)
- Contacted from various MP email addresses during onboarding and departments didn't seem to talk to each other (also Compliance check alerts not always clear and quick to sort). Signposting next steps/expected timescales and clear MP contact details would have been hugely beneficial and avoided much anxiety/confusion - also cutting down on high volumes of phone calls to MP, too.
- The timesheet (Field Glass) submission system wasn't clear for things like bank holidays and overtime (which is also partly the company's mis-communication) but a meeting was only arranged to discuss issues a MONTH into the role and it wasn't realised that the timesheets we were seeing were different to what was expected until this time (an earlier meeting would have been beneficial to avoid this). A few of the new starters on my team had several problems with their timesheets and one of them was regularly not paid which took a lot of time and stress to resolve.
- When leaving I wasn't put on leaver or termination list so it delayed my final pay (holiday pot) by two weeks and P45 by nearly 40 days, all had to be prompted by myself (my advice is that as soon as you do leave, email your Team Leader and the Contractor Care team immediately to avoid any lengthy delays with pay and paperwork).
I do appreciate there are potential issues with any new employer but it was the way it was dealt with more than anything really. Manpower isn’t a new company, so should be used to these sorts of requests/correspondence.
Overall: I am very glad of the opportunity I had to work for a leading company and enjoyed my time at the actual employer. However, I'm generally disappointed with my experience with the job agency, which I felt was ultimately down to a lack of communication and could have been avoided. I really hope it improves for everyone involved, thanks for reading my review.

I was one of the lucky ones that had a good experience with Manpower. Southampton branch. I wanted to review them as I wanted to gice a shout to Jag Digpal! He has been great over the past 3 years of me working there. He supported me so much through my maternity and mostly through Covid! Thanks Jag!
Everybody that I have spoken to in the Southampton branch has been incredibly helpful! I highly recommend and I hope more people has the same gppd experience that I did.

It was a very strange call I got from Proman asking if I still wanted a job I applied for. This is what happened.
A woman called me from Proman asking if I was still interested in a job I applied for, I asked for information on the job as I've applied for a few with different companies and not sure which this is. The lady huffed and said she needs to open another file for the information. A few seconds later, she starts to read the description of what the job is. When she stops I say "thank you but it's really the pay, hours and shift rota I need" she replied, and I'm still trying to get my head around this....."I don't have that information, you would have to accept the job to know that" and when I asked could they get the information and call me back because, im interested but I can't accept a roll without knowing what I'd be paid for it, she replied "no, this is all the information we have". So......they want me to accept a job offer, go to an interview..... BEFORE I know what hours/ pay / which days are on offer to work???
So to the company in Liverpool asking for FLT drivers.....I think the reason your short on staff is the agency your using.....I don't know anyone that would accept a job.....without knowing what you'd get paid for said job.
They had a job advertised online. Called up at least 10 separate times over 2 weeks with no one getting back to me.
Gave up in the end.
