I would like to give them minus 100 stars but not possible. I've been working for them a month. They suppose to pay weekly but I never get from them even one pence. They are looking for someone who for free will make money for them. They hide phone numbers. So apart from email not possible to contact them. If anyone would like to be homeless then it is worth to work for Manpower. I don't expect from them I will get my salary finally paid. Even the worst agencies are like heaven comparing to them. Never ever again....

Refuse to answer calls and it takes them ages to reply to my emails. Absolutely disgraceful.

I'm currently completing a period of temporary work for Manpower. I've been extremely impressed with the Southampton office. What really impressed me was the company's person-centered approach to dealing with national strikes. Not putting temporary employees in positions where they have the potential to be alienated by the teams they work with and be set up to fail in terms of job task expectations, demonstrates moral value in the organisational culture. P.s I don't work for them I've just been highly impressed by the experience so far.

been ill with covid i get a message saying dont bother with us again what a disgusting attitude to take avoid like the plague

Terrible company to work for i recently signed up with this company the communication is so poor its unbelievable they recently sent me out to a well known medical manufacturer and I ended up leaving after a few weeks because they were making me do things that I shouldn't of been doing, can never get hold of anyone literally have to email someone when your poorly which you then get an automated response saying that person is on holiday even though the company states you must report absence 1 hour before your shift starts! After leaving my position they haven't even been in touch to see whats gone on they just don't care at all about staff just want the money, they also sent me to work without the relevant documentation

Awful agency, Experis/Manpower. Had a call about 12 days ago from a guy called Alex Aparo in Bristol, who pretended that he thought I was perfect for a remote role as PA for Microsoft. Gave me all the nonsense of how he understands what it is like to be without work, and he would do everything possible to help me find a job nevertheless. After sending me his details, I even had his personal mobile number, never heard anything again. Tried contacting him several times, nothing!
It is high time that we get rid off recruiters who are not serious about their jobs, possibly believe it is easy to do and have no moral compass, human touch or scruples to either mis-sell jobs, pretend they own the job when they have only fished it off the internet in the hope, they can sell candidates to a company or to increase CV's on their database. Purely for the purpose of getting numbers up. It leaves many candidates angry and upset, frustrated and not trusting recruiters, even the small amount of decent ones. There should be a law to act against this kind of behaviour as it's almost criminal in fairness.
If a retailer sold stock that is not available, they would be charged with fraud!

Terrible agency, dont bother with them all the bad reviews on here are true, wish i had read them before i dealt with them.

Time wasters

Great stuff, got me into Royal Mail quickly and painlessly. Now have a permanent contract. People are friendly and helpful!!

My experiences with this non-entity of an agency is that they lie, cheat, pass the buck, don't respond etc etc etc....they are worse than useless, do not waste your time and talent on these total losers......P.S how do I give 0 stars?.......sits back and awaits the utterly useless invitation to contact a customer service manager ergo, (some ne'er do well with a turf for a brain)

HORRIBLE AGENCY!!!
I had a contract with manpower to American Express as a KYC complaints analyst. Job description was all wrong as the job was just general poxy complaints. I still was like okay whatever I’ll carry on working. I managed to find myself a new job and gave my weeks notice as per my contract and what has happened both manpower and American Express decide they don’t want me working and cancel my immediately. I can’t believe this and the reason is apparently I did not offer good enough “service” even though I did everything they asked me for.

Very disappointed with my experience with Experis/Manpower. They recruited me for a contract on a remote/home based basis.

After completing the contract, I claimed mileage expense for my 200mile trip to office to collect laptop and again to return it and a couple of other ad hoc journeys. The claim was rejected because I was supposed to be office based.

Every communication with Experis confirmed me as home based. They now claim this wasn't the case and I should have known no travel expenses to the base location could be claimed, even when I present them with all the evidence (their own emails and contract info) to the contrary.

Appalling do not work for them.

I worked for them for 6months for a maternity cover position. The company it was for were amazing however manpower treat you like crap once they have you in the position.

The company I was at use manpower for all 60% of there staff and most of the direct employees were employed full time through the company and not manpower and ever single person I spoke to there that had gone through manpower warned me that at the end they will try take as much money from you as possible when you leave and blame it on using too many holidays. I isn’t believe them but surprise surprise when I left they took a weeks wage off me and said I used too many holiday. I went through all my time off with my manager who agreed I didn’t use too and even agreed it via email to them and they still believe they were correct even though I my pout of contact at manpower told me on the phone that he had been there for 5 years and nobody fully understand how the accrual works. After I left manpower I continued the argument and was told by my point of contact that he had to go all the way to head office to sit down and work my holidays out.stupid that a company has to do that. I was told 2 weeks ago that they would get back to me and yet I have still heard nothing.

I’m currently looking at taking this further but I would advise you to never work for manpower unless they give you a proper introduction to the company and fully outline the holiday accrual rate rather than just stating how many holidays you get per annum and saying ‘accrual basis’

I’ve recently applied for 2 temporary roles with manpower and the service received by the recruitment consultant has been diabolical.

In short.

Application sent
No phone call to discuss application / role.
Email received to arrange interview.
Interview cancelled via email only 1 hour before interview.
Then told role had been filled after chasing for a response.
Applied for another role with the same company VWFS Milton Keynes.
Interview arranged. Again only email contact.
Interview cancelled only 40 minutes pre interview time.
Advised to be rearranged but no contact received despite chasing Charlie in at the Milton Keynes branch.

The communication had been unacceptable. I applied for these roles as I was very serious and hoping to work for this company.

I’d appreciate a response as to why I have been treated so poorly though out the process?

Absolutely appalling service. Laughed at my husband who speaks English as a second language. He applied to do the driving boot camp and when they rang him he missed the call he rang them back and they were very rude. I was trying to help him and explain what was being said and the call handler was so rude about me. Disgusting service and rude staff.

Straight forward process to get the temporary role. A job interview then started 3 weeks later.
However, after over month I still haven't received my P45.
Why does it take so long for 1 P45?????

Awful agency. Wouldn't recommend, adamant i was accepted for a role. I Nobody informed me of my shift times. I had to phone myself, only to find out role has been closed. Communication with applicants is dreadful.

It is honestly impossible to get through to speak to anyone at this company to help with some issues I have been having. I am convinced nobody even works there... No number to call, and a clearly unmanned support email. I am only using them by force, I would never choose to.

In all my dealings and experience with Manpower in Leeds, such has been my level of satisfaction with their consistent excellence in all aspects and areas, that I have reached the profound opinion that Manpower are the best employment agency in the whole of western Europe, bar none.
