M&S Opticians Arvostelua 

I was fed up with the poor service, poor choice and lack of professionalism at a very well know opticians. I looked on 'Which' and saw that M&S were in the top two recommendations. I didn't even know they did both hearing aids and Glasses.
First I had a hearing appointment at the Bluewater branch. The Audiologist, was brilliant, really helpful in meeting my specific needs. The old company kept pressing their own brand but not M&S. I am very deaf and bought top of the range aids - Oticon. Not cheap but they are amazing - that is not too strong a word they are amazing and have improved my (and my wife's!) quality of life no end.
I then changed to M&S for my glasses as a result of the service I received with my hearing aids and I was not disappointed. Excellent, test and very thorough, nice choice of glasses and assistance picking them without any pressure. Again great optician and great staff in the store, really helpful and friendly. Everyone I had dealings with were lovely.
Will not be looking anywhere else in the future.

Not at all happy with the varifocal glasses they have provided - they cost £600 and are useless to me as everything is blurry when I move my head and I cannot read a car number plate at a distance so probably illegal for driving. I have been back 3 times to complain have had prescription checked and different lenses fitted but still the same problems. I have had to go back to wearing my old SpecSavers glasses. I have asked for a refund but they say the area manager (Darren Hughes) has refused my request but he will not speak to me or give me a reason for this. I have also contacted the customer care team and they just say they will get in touch with their management team and get back to me so I do not hold out much hope. Perhaps my only recourse is to go through the small claims court

I had an excellent experience at M&S Opticians at Castlepoint. From start to finish, the whole appointment was calm, professional and completely unhurried. Every member of staff I dealt with was friendly, welcoming and took the time to explain everything clearly.

I particularly appreciated that there was absolutely no hard selling of frames. Instead, I was given good advice and felt able to come away from the appointment to make my own decisions without any pressure.

The optician also gave me some very helpful advice about cataracts, explaining everything in a clear and reassuring way. I left feeling well informed and confident about my eye health.

I would highly recommend M&S Opticians at Castlepoint to anyone looking for excellent customer service, professional care and a relaxed, patient-focused experience.

A positively brilliant experience when visiting the Plymouth branch for an eye test on 22/7/26. I had never previously used M&S Opticians, but saw that the premium OCT examination was included at no extra charge so decided to book.

I am a pensioner and have worn glasses all my life, so have had many tests in that time.

I think this was possibly the best ever, certainly the best in recent years. With some of the big chains, I have felt like I am on a conveyor belt. By contrast I felt the process was professional but unhurried to ensure the best result for me.

Splendid service. Both Eve, the optometrist, and Harriet, the assistant were friendly and approachable and answered all my questions.

I will certainly use M&S Opticians in future.

My husband and I have both just had appointments with the Opticians in M&S at Castle Point in Bournemouth. We both came away saying how lovely and thorough our Optometrist was. Her name is Jaya and we would certainly recommend her and the Opticians in M&S to anyone. It is very conveniently placed within the store. Shop, stop at the cafe and have your eyes tested in one go. We certainly now won’t be going anywhere else.

I have recently purchased two pairs of glasses from M&S opticians Pudsey Owlcotes and I am not overly impressed with the service firstly on my first pair I was overcharged for a nhs eye test which should have been free (78 years of age)
Secondly I picked up my second pair today and they don’t fit properly sliding off my face loose round my ears also bearing in mind I have a 22 mile round trip to the store not very impressed having to return again

Metro Centre location is great and easy to get to.My
appointment was on on time the lady doing the pre tests was friendly and efficient.
The actual eye test was fine and I was reassured after recent headaches and eye strain.
I ve been going here for a few years and would recommend them

I found Marks and Spencers Opticians at The Willows, Torquay to be excellent. A special thanks to Molly, Mark and Naomi who go above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They are friendly, helpful, and very patient. Thank you Sharon S

Was a great experience in M&S. After years of going to Specsavers out of habit. The staff were so friendly and the man who tested my eyes was lovely. Explained everything. Have recommended to a lot of my friends. I went to the Castle point branch in Bournemouth. I had no idea they had an optician in there. Very pleased.

I would 100% recommend M&S had problems with my eye sight for years couldn’t get the right glasses came here staff are amazing the quality of the frames the prices are quality couldn’t praise them enough 👏👏👏

Although staff were polite and obviously trying to do the work, they were clearly struggling to measure for my new bi-focal specs,
When they arrived they were completely useless, I was seeing double and test text appeared on a slope…. Extraordinary!
Currently waiting for a replacement
Not optimistic as staff again appeared to be at a loss how to prescribe lens for bifocals
Incidentally the price was considerably more than advertised
Would not use M&S again

I visited M&S opticians for the 1st time as was not happy with the service & prescription I received from my previous provider. My son recommended M&S & am so pleased he did. They confirmed my previous prescription was incorrect & I received a very thorough examination. I wasn't rushed & received valuable advice as to the type of frames that would be best for me.
When I returned to collect them , time was taken to ensure the fit & prescription was correct. I am delighted!

Visited the Vangarde store in York to collect my prescription sunglasses last Saturday 11 July.

Really helpful attentive staff.
