Who knew M&S did opticians? Had an eye test with them today and really impressed with the service and care. I had a prescription and new pair of glasses from Vision Express two months ago, and they haven't felt right. But it says online that you need to take a couple of months to adapt to a new prescription, so I persevered. A few months later and it's still not right. I decided to get another eye test with M&S because they luckily had same-day availability and I found a 50% off eye test voucher. They confirmed what I had thought, which is that the Vision Express prescription was massively out. The optician said maybe it was a typo from them. Anyway, the opticians at M&S was patient, calm and explained everything clearly. At Vision Express, on the other hand, everything felt rushed and chaotic, which is probably why they messed up my prescription and glasses. One thing I will point out though is that the sales assistant as M&S didn't know what the measurement numbers on the frames meant when I was browsing frames. I had to explain to her that the 54mm number meant lens width, not overall frame width, which is what she thought. So perhaps a bit of additional training for their staff on the products and meanings. Oh, also, they gave me a free hearing test while I was there, which was nice. At M&S, I felt there was no pressure to buy frames, the optician was quite happy to print the prescription for me to take away and the sales assistant was quite happy to write down the model number of a pairs of frames I liked. I'll be going to M&S in future.

Azraf is an excellent optician. Knowledgeable, kind, thorough and takes time to ensure you understand everything. Linda is brilliant at helping you choose glasses. I’ve always found everyone at the Harrogate branch excellent.

Yrestaday I had a fantastic experience at M@S Opticans Ealing Broadway . The arm of my glasses ( which I previausly purchased at this storę) broke off, and Adele went above and beyond to fix it for me.She was incredibly kind ,efficient , and profesional.

I am a longstanding M & S customer. (My time is precious due to care responsibilities and need to maintain to a reasonably timed daily schedule.) Based on my previous experience I arrived well in time for my appointment with some added leeway. Whilst waiting I was asked about my timetable because there would be a slight delay. I politely explained I wasn't able to be delayed too long. To be helpful I said I could return later after my test and choose my spectacles. It was explained that a procedure undertaken earlier required a follow up thus delaying my appointment. Whilst sympathetic to the individual concerned nevertheless I was surprised a procedure had been undertaken without consideration of the knock on effect. I continued to wait and then someone else came and I was questioned about my timetable. Again I explained. I was then advised as it would take 45 minutes for my test so in any case I wouldn't be able to have my test and leave in time for my planned meeting. At this point I realised I was to be significantly delayed so decided to leave. Obviously won't be rebooking again. A shame because I had previously found the service good. As yet I am unable to schedule an appointment elsewhere due to my care responsibilites. I hope that all is well with the other client, because not their fault in any way. M&S opticians you have lost a longstanding customer due to your scheduling problem. My advice think about dropping in on spec rather than making an appointment then you won't be disappointed and waste valuable time.

The staff at Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff, were instrumental in me making a choice to buy the Nuance audio glasses.
I was taken around the store to experience different environments and nothing was too much trouble.
I bought them there and then and am so pleased with them.

Polite & helpful staff, Claire the optometrist was excellent with a full health check for my eyes. Thoroughly recommend the Exeter branch.

Fabulous, detailed examination and advice. Glasses were not quite right at the first attempt (not the fault of the Team at M&S). The staff worked with me very patiently to establish the issue. Glasses are perfect - so pleased with them.

Excellent first class staff and good choice of glasses. Very comfortable in suggestions and not pushy. Eye test was done and explained thoroughly by my Optician. Glasses were a good offer on excellent styles. I would recommend M&S Opticians.

The whole process was really easy. I had my notification reminder to make an appointment. Booking the appointment was really easy, lots of options available. The appointment went well, with no waiting around. I selected a pair of glasses. I was notified in around week to call and book in to collect. Great service. Friendly and helpful staff.
