The staff were very friendly and helpful

First visit and extremely impressed with service compared with other opticians. Will be using them going forward and recommending them to family members

It’s rare that an appointment leaves such a lasting impression, but my experience with Miss S Joshi , Optometrist at Shoreham By Sea branch, today genuinely did.

I don’t normally write reviews unless my experience has been either exceptionally bad or exceptionally good, and I’m very pleased to say this is a very positive one.

I was genuinely touched by Miss Shivani Joshi’s professionalism, care and attention. She took the time to explain her findings clearly, gave thoughtful advice, and went the extra mile to make sure I understood everything.

I’m sure she sees many patients every day, but at no point did I feel like I was simply one of many people being rushed through. She was genuine, caring and completely present throughout the appointment, which made a real difference.

For such a young optometrist, she is extremely impressive. If she continues with this level of professionalism and care, she has a very bright future ahead of her.

M&S Opticians are very lucky to have Miss S Joshi on their team, and we are equally lucky to have such a caring and professional optometrist available locally.

Thank you, Miss S Joshi, for such an excellent experience.

This was my first visit to M&S Opticians after a chance meeting at the theatre with a member of their head office team. I have worn glasses for many years and varifocals for almost 30 years but I was disappointed by the glasses I had from my previous optician and needed a better quality of service. M&S Opticians had such good reviews and recommendations that they were the obvious choice. I was not disappointed. The team at Shoreham-by-Sea were welcoming, friendly and very professional. 4 staff gave me their attention over the 90 minutes I was there and each of them was thorough and reassuring, explaining everything in detail and helping with my options. I have some new specs on order and I’m hopeful they will be an improvement on what I have now.

There was quite a long wait whereby no-one came to see us and then we were told to sit down as thete was only two members of staff. I had a birthday treat of 10% of glasses at the Opticians but was told I could not use the voucher as I should have my eyes tested at the same time. I was buying glasses, New Fames to be precise at £100. Having been told I should read the small print I felt let down by M&S. £100 for glasses is a lot of money. It should be clearly stated on the offer and not in small print that you can hardly see. Next year I will go somewhere else.

Alex and Rowan once again excelled in demonstrating both expertise and unsurpassed customer service during my final fitting for my glasses and the measuring for a new pair of sunglasses. They obviously love what they do and this is reflected in the way they interact in such a friendly and positive way with their clients. I certainly won’t go anywhere else for my optical requirements.

The manager at the Metro Centre shop was very helpful because I wanted the same frames, but not available in the shop, and so she kindly sourced them from the supplier. The manager is always friendly and professional. The Optometrist is also friendly and professional. A pleasant opticians to go into.

Very professional consultant, talked through everything in a way I understood
Staff helping to choose my frames chose very well and picked exactly what I was looking for. No fuss. Hassle free experience

I have never had such a great experience visiting an optician, especially the Optometrist, Shavani Joshi. She explained every aspect of my eye test & reassured me on
many issues. She was kind, professional and I fully trusted the whole experience.
The other members of staff were so helpful and friendly. I would so highly recommend M&S Opticians for a high quality service.

I had an fabulous experience at M&S Opticians, I was met by the Manager (Gary) he’s a very personable man, he took me for my pressure checks & explained exactly what he was doing. After my checks he took me to look at the spectacles while we waited for the optician & that’s where another member of staff (Paula) helped me as well, they were both so helpful & they make a great team. Then I met the optician (Martin) who was great, I had a couple of problems & Martin explained those problems so well which put me at ease, he was great. All in all a 1st class service.

Well done Isabella for being so helpful when I lost one of the little eypads on my glasses while visiting the M & S store. Thank you very much.
Mrs. Fox

Special shout out to The lady who did the actual eye test was amazing, very thorough, never had an eye test like it and she was very good at explaining everything. The rest of the girls were very friendly and helpful.

A lovely experience from start to finish
A calm environment where you are not rushed (unlike some others in the city)
Friendly and helpful staff and eye tests very thorough
Will be my opticians of choice from now on

Staff are excellent from the eye and hearing test through to the choosing of glasses and the after care.

I was very impressed by the advice and care I received . Comprehensive eye test. I wasn't hurried on choice of frame etc and Sarah was very knowledgeable.

The staff were extremely helpful and understanding. At no point did I feel under pressure when choosing my frames.

I was kindly fit in last minute for an eye test yesterday. Initially helped by Gabriella, I also spoke with Samiyah and served by Sarah. My optometrist was Kishan, he was excellent. Everyone was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. When choosing glasses I had lots of help on style and pricing. I have never worn glasses before, so it helped to have advice and positive feedback, as well as clear explanations.
Everything was explained through the process and I was offered (and accepted) a hearing test, and also had the results explained.

Really lovely service, thank you so much and I will be back!

I had a great experience at M&S Opticians in Cheshunt. The entire team was professional, but I especially want to highlight Shairedh, who looked after me. He provided exceptional service from start to finish. He patiently answered all my questions and took the time to adjust my glasses so they fit perfectly and comfortably. Outstanding customer care — highly recommended!

I've been using M&S Opticians for over 2 years now. They are always helpful and polite and the Optician is very personable and easy to talk to and makes tge visit a pleasant experience. Just ordered some new reading glasses and staff were very helpful in finding the right frames at a very competitive price. Would highly recommend.
