M&S Opticians Arvostelua 

Concerned that something was wrong with my prescription from another optician, I went to M&S in Canterbury to get it checked. The optician took great care over updating and rebalancing the prescription. Other members of the team were very helpful when ordering a new pair, and also when the original pair ended up lost in the post. After a couple of months with the new spectacles it is clear that they were exactly what I needed. All in all I was very impressed by the standard of care, and would recommend them warmly.

Friendly and professional from start to finish, my pre-screener Heather put me at ease running through the fist eye checks. The Optometrist Susan grave me a concise eye test and Alex the Dispenser finished the process. Absolutely brilliant service and l would highly recommed.

From the moment I walked in, the reception team set the tone — warm, organised, genuinely welcoming and a great sense of humour. The service throughout was excellent, not rushed, not scripted, and definitely not the usual “sales push” you get elsewhere.

What really stood out was the level of knowledge and the way everything was explained. I learned things about my eye health and prescription that no other optician has ever taken the time to go through. Clear, detailed, and actually useful.

The staff have great personalities, real professionalism, and a natural way of making you feel comfortable and informed. It’s refreshing to deal with people who clearly care about what they do rather than trying to upsell you.

A genuinely brilliant experience from start to finish. Highly recommended.

From start to finish the service was outstanding. The attention the staff show to each customer is second to none. I’m a convert to M&S opticians and I wouldn’t go anywhere else now.

Payal Dhanjal is the best optician I have come across in the whole of the Oxfordshire area by some margin. She took great care with the eye examination and the prescription determined gave me very sharp vision.

Wow what a breath of fresh air awesome service by Lauren her knowledge was exceptional and explained the whole varifocal thing very well. Ordered two pairs of glasses in for me to try as well, brilliant from start to finish.

I called M&S Opticians for an appointment for a review of my glasses and due to headaches. They were fantastic and managed to get me a same day appointment. I arrived and had several different assessments which they were all great and very professional. After being assessed I was called in by Mrs J Welsh and was asked after getting to know me she asked if I would like her to be straight, I said yes. Which at this point she said I had bulging optic nurses which could be one of two things. fluid on the brain or a brain tumour. I was grateful that she could be honest and which she made a urgent referral to my GP within 3 weeks I was seen. I can not fault the team and can only speak highly of them. Since surgery she has followed up with me and I have referred my family and friends to them. Will always be so greatful. Thank you

What a refreshing experience: professional, polite and caring staff. From the moment I arrived until I left, the staff supported me throughout the process with detailed explanations. I couldn't fault the service, and the range of optical options is impressive. I initially thought I would pay a lot more for superior service and products, but I was surprised by the competitive pricing. If I could give an extra star for the service, I would. My appointment was with the London Colney branch of M&S who were efficient, knowledgeable and welcoming. They did not rush any part of the process from reception staff and optician, to the advice and help of the other staff. The same occurred when I collected the glasses. Well done London Colney branch. I have used this branch for a couple of years and recommend them. I received no incentive to use this optician.

My glasses broke after just over two years, and M&S refused to fix them. The issue is clearly a frame defect not wear and tear. The optician at the Llanelli branch was more interested in selling me and eye test - so much so she tried to do it before even looking at my issue.

Their argument is essentially that two years is a substantial amount of time for a pair of glasses, which would be funny if it wasn’t so ridiculous. I still have a pair that’s nearly 20 years old and hasn’t broken. Instead of standing behind the product, they dismissed the complaint, made assumptions they couldn’t back up, and offered to sell me another frame. For a company that prides itself on quality, the response was embarrassing.

Also don’t attempt to fix it yourself before hand because they will use that as leverage to use against you and double down on refusing to help you. M&S should be ashamed to be associated with this company.

For many years my proscription from other opticians has been wrong apparently. I found out today I only need help looking at computers and phone tablets my distance is fine. All these years being sold varifocals and not needing them. No wonder I could never get on with them. Thanks to M&S opticians; great job.
