Perfect

As you know, we followed up with this TrustPilot review instantly via email and offered our urgent assistance (response within 15 minutes). We're responding to the actual review now as it's important for potential customers to see how we dealt with the issue.
We received your order at 18:38 04/12 and dispatched it on an express by 12 service at 14:43 05/12 (the earliest possible dispatch), despite you selecting free standard delivery.
As I'm sure you're aware, the Royal Mail strikes are causing significant delays in the postal industry at the moment (in the busiest time of year for couriers). As the sender, we have no control or influence over delivery once dispatched. We escalated your delivery to senior account managers and responded to your emails promptly. Once delivered, we followed up via email to check everything was ok.
There are very few parcels getting held back however yours was unfortunately one of the impacted ones. DPD have halted deliveries in your local depot to remove the backlog they are experiencing. They also could not plan for this; the RM strikes are causing extra stress and workload to the alternative couriers.
The situation has now improved significantly and we are experiencing very few issues in the run up to Christmas.
We genuinely apologise for the delay however there was nothing more our small business could do. We genuinely went above and beyond to ensure this order was delivered and hopefully you were satisfied upon arrival.
