The sales process was very easy and everything fully explained before purchasing.
The fitting team worked well and overcame any obstacles they came up against.
Overall very pleased with the system. I have had one minor issue that they haven't been able to resolve or come up with a solution/explanation for but it's not a massive problem

Been with this company for a few years and very impressed with them. From contact to arranging appointments. They have now fitted a new inverter and two batteries all at competitive prices. The staff have been great professional and prompt. Would have no problem in recommending them.

First class service from start to finish, Due to weather and other work being carried out, the install could not be completed on the first day so a second visit was arranged without hesitation, polite, courteous and left working area spotless. System working well lots of flexibility via the app, very happy, Happy to recommend.

Ok got refund

Initial sales call arrived 38 minutes late, said he had no signal!! So no signal for 38 minutes between his last calm and my house??’ Then was rude when I hadn’t waited in for him . I will not be following this up. Basic manners apply and seemingly ‘this company has none

Avoid. Harassed my elderly mother onto getting unnecessary maintenance contract for 15 year old solar power system, then pressured her to get unnecessary work done, even asking her if she had a power of attorney!,, which says everything you need to know about their intentions. Purdued a refund , they sent emails promising a refund but yo this date nothing , that was months ago, AVOID.....Avoid ...avoid.

I decided to purchase their 10-year maintenance plan.Together with 2 storage batteries. The maintenance plan gives great peace of mind. It covers the solar panels, inverter and batteries for both parts and labour for 10 years, and also includes an annual clean and inspection.

The team were friendly, professional and easy to deal with, and I was impressed with the level of service throughout. It’s reassuring knowing the system will be properly looked after for the next 10 years. I’d happily recommend L & R Renewables.

I needed to reset my password to access the Growatt website, but was unable to do so via email, so had to ask LR to do it for me. this was accomplished within minutes. easy if you can speak to the right person.
LR renewables appear to be very busy and it is not always possible to contact anyone who can help with an issue.

Really happy with the service from L & R Renewables. We’d been having problems with birds getting under the solar panels, which was becoming a real nuisance, so we had bird mesh fitted to stop them getting underneath.

The team were friendly, helpful and easy to deal with from the start. They explained what they were doing, got on with the job without any fuss and left everything neat and tidy afterwards.

The bird mesh looks really discreet and, most importantly, has sorted the problem. Really pleased with the whole experience and would happily recommend L & R Renewables.

I recently used L & R Renewables for the installation of a battery system and also decided to take out their maintenance plan, and I have been extremely impressed with the service from start to finish.

From the initial enquiry, the team were professional, knowledgeable and very easy to deal with. Everything was explained clearly, including how the battery system would work, the benefits it would provide and what to expect from the installation. There was no pressure at any stage, just straightforward advice and excellent communication.

The installation itself was carried out to a very high standard. The engineers arrived on time, were polite, tidy and respectful of the property, and clearly took pride in their work. The whole process was efficient and well organised, and they made sure everything was fully set up and working correctly before leaving. They also took the time to explain the system and answer any questions, which was greatly appreciated.

I also purchased the maintenance plan, which gives additional peace of mind knowing that the system will continue to be looked after properly. The plan was explained clearly, with no hidden surprises, and I felt it offered very good value considering the support and ongoing reassurance it provides.

I would have no hesitation in recommending L & R Renewables to anyone considering a battery installation or someone to maintain their system. Excellent workmanship, knowledgeable staff, great communication and first-class service from beginning to end. I am very pleased with both the installation and the maintenance plan and would happily use them again in the future.

– L&R sold a £2400, 5 year solar thermal maintenance contract to my frail 87 year-old mother with memory problems.
– She already had a maintenance agreement with the original installers with no problems, so L&R salesperson must have persuaded her that she needed their service.
– Must have been via a cold call as she is not online.
– They followed up with a 'compliance call' asking generic questions that my mother answered politely. Basically covering their asses.
– Actual contract had no contract number and was completed haphazardly.
– Rang their office. tried their 3 options in turn. No answer. Left a message. No call back.
– Emailed. I asked for a refund. After being evasive in one reply and then going quiet and me chasing, they offered a £2000 refund (they had only made one visit and 'surprisingly' found no problems as other co were maintaining the system). I accepted their offer.
– They said refund payment would be 8-10 days
– 8-10 days later no payment
– Called them and emailed. Still no answer on their office phone or any call back to my messages, nor response via email
– Messaged owner of company via LinkedIn and messaged two mobile numbers I had obtained.
– Zero response.
– 2 weeks later I spoke to the salesman as I found his mobile number scribbled on the 'contract'.
– He rang the owner. Said refund would be in a week.
– A week later, no refund.
– Messaged, emailed and called office.
– Standard zero response.
– 2 weeks later the refund appeared. Got an email from the owner asking me for confirmation. The first response I had from him!

I used L&R Renewables for a solar and battery installation over a year ago, and the experience has been a complete headache. The installation has had numerous issues, and scaffolding has been left sitting on my property for over 12 months (still up at the time of writing this review) with no end in sight.

After endless chasing, false promises from the owner to take charge of this install, over 10 visits to the house and getting nowhere, I’ve had no choice but to escalate this through formal consumer protection channels, and hopefully finally get this scaffolding off my house.
