My Review of the Honoré in Camargue Brown

I ordered the Honoré in Camargue Brown from the website. I also purchased a front charm and added some engraving.

Buying and delivery process:

The website is easy to use, and the delivery process was incredibly quick. The website stated that preparation would take around four business days, plus delivery time. However, in my case, the product was delivered within four business days in total.

The tracking system was also very accurate. I do live in a neighbouring country to France, so that probably contributed to the quick delivery. Still, it was clear that they prepared the product at the shop much faster than promised, which was a really nice surprise.

Product and quality:

The packaging is lovely and protects the product very well. The quality of the cover is excellent, as you would of course expect given the high price.

The leather does, however, scratch quite easily, and the edges are somewhat unfinished, with a few loose leather threads. That said, I actually think this is part of the charm of the product. The brand is very transparent about this on the website: the leather is meant to develop a patina and show scratches and signs of use over time. If you don't like this more natural, worn-in look considering the price you're paying, you may want to look at other brands that use different types of leather and offer a more polished finish. Personally, this was exactly the look I was going for, so I am very happy with it.

One thing I don't particularly like is that the cover seems to be designed primarily around their own, non-standard booklet size. That said, you can definitely fit regular A5 softcover notebooks inside. The downside is that a standard A5 notebook can cover the pen loop attached to the Honoré, which makes it difficult to use the pen loop when you have another notebook inside. I do hope they change this in the future. It feels a little frustrating that the design seems to encourage you to purchase their own, relatively expensive booklets, especially after already paying a high price for the cover itself. I would have preferred a design that accommodates standard A5 notebooks more easily.

I think the trifold design is beautiful, and personally, I don't find it annoying to write with, despite some reviewers on social media saying that they do. This is probably a matter of personal preference, though. I also like that the design provides good protection for the booklets.

The dust bag and the paper materials that come with the product are also very good quality and add to the overall premium feel.

Overall

I use my Louise Carmen every day and absolutely love it. I haven't had any issues with it so far.

Overall, I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a high-quality leather cover with a natural, less polished appearance that develops character and ages beautifully as you use it. It is expensive, but if this particular aesthetic is what you're looking for, I think it is worth the money.

The product and quality of the journal is impeccable. I am thrilled to receive and use this going forward! The only small issue was the package was made "signature required" for some reason on the sender's end, so it took a few weeks of back and forth with UPS Services to receive and it got moved around a lot, but it is finally in hand. I highly recc'd this produc!

I ordered two journals and both are incredibly beautiful. I definitely splurged considering the shipping costs to the US is about $80, which is insane. I won’t be able to order again due to this, which is unfortunate because I could use another journal.

That’s said, the product is stunning and they were shipped quickly and I only wish I could order more.

I've never experienced a more personalized and intimate purchase. I felt cared for, known and celebrated. I was never rushed. It was so beautiful to walk through the process of designing a completely customized journal. I received mine yesterday, and it is perfect. The rich smell of the leather, the tinkling charms, the thick paper. It is luxury and soulful at once.

J'ai passé commande sur le site internet, j'ai pu personnaliser mon carnet (couleurs + grigris) et je l'ai reçu très rapidemment ! Emballage soigné et que dire en découvrant ce bel objet , je suis ravie de mon roadbook prune ! Avec le Portfolio liberty il match parfaitement !
