A fun experience
A fun experience. Good for a teenager plus parent. Mobile signal was a bit hit and miss in the location which meant uploading photos was frustrating from time to time and sometimes the questions you had to answer said you answered incorrectly initially, when you didn't, but it soon corrected itself.

Chaotisch und zu teuer
Wir waren von der Schnitzeljagd von Lets Roam leider extrem enttäuscht. Für den hohen Preis bekommt man eine App mit schlechter Übersetzung, bei der man teilweise Antworten plötzlich auf Englisch eingeben muss – obwohl alles andere auf Deutsch ist. Das wirkt einfach unfertig und schlecht umgesetzt.
Dazu kommen unzählige sinnlose Fotoaufgaben, die eher nervig als unterhaltsam sind. Statt die Stadt wirklich zu entdecken, rennt man die ganze Zeit nur mit dem Handy durch die Gegend und macht irgendwelche Bilder. Über die Stadt selbst erfährt man dabei kaum etwas. Kurze interessante Hintergrundinfos zu den einzelnen Stationen hätten das Ganze deutlich besser gemacht.
Besonders ärgerlich war, dass wir die Schnitzeljagd starten wollten und die App direkt angezeigt hat, sie wäre bereits „erfolgreich abgeschlossen“. Das Problem wurde zwar später behoben, aber unser Tagesablauf war dadurch komplett durcheinander und die Planung hinüber.
Auch die Reihenfolge der Stationen wirkte völlig willkürlich und ohne erkennbaren Sinn. Man läuft gefühlt kreuz und quer durch die Stadt. Zusätzlich wurde immer wieder jemand aus unserer Gruppe aus der App rausgeworfen und konnte dadurch nur eingeschränkt teilnehmen.
Oft wusste man außerdem gar nicht, was überhaupt die richtige Antwort sein soll, weil jeder irgendwie für sich selbst in der App herumtippen musste. Wirklich gemeinsames Spielen kam dadurch kaum zustande.
Insgesamt einfach viel zu teuer für das, was geboten wird. Die Idee hätte Potenzial, aber die Umsetzung ist leider chaotisch, technisch fehlerhaft und den Preis absolut nicht wert.

Stay Away from this scam app!
If you’re looking to waste money and test your patience, Let’s Roam is perfect.
Prepaid tickets? Useless. The app wouldn’t let us start, so we were effectively forced to buy another ticket just to begin. Nothing says “great customer experience” like paying twice for the same thing.
Adding a friend? Also broken. So much for a “social” activity — we ended up sharing one phone like it’s 2005.
The app itself is a masterpiece of poor design: slow, glitchy, crashes constantly, and drains your battery for good measure. It feels less like a finished product and more like an abandoned beta.
At best, this is incompetence. At worst, it feels deliberately set up to push you into spending more just to make it work.
Requested a refund — not holding my breath.
Save your time, save your money, and avoid.

Faulty checkout process charged me…
Faulty checkout process charged me twice. Enquired about a refund and was told it wasn’t possible. It has really soured the whole thing which looked like something I could enjoy doing regularly as I travel a lot. I don’t even feel like using the original two tickets I bought now.

Technical difficulties meant no hunt and there is no support at all
This is a very disappointing experience and I would strongly recommend that you don't waste your money on one of their scavenger hunts. I pre-paid for a hunt in the Icelandic town of Akureyri. I created an account and applied the code so that I was all ready to start the hunt when we arrived. We located the start point and I was there with my phone but when I tried to sign into my existing account (I tried with both my phone number and email sign in details) it just created a new account. Hence, when I went to start the hunt, it said that my voucher was already applied. There was no way to get to my original account with the valid voucher and the 'help' function was offline due to the time difference (trying to do an activity anywhere other than the US is going to be problematic if you need help). We only had that one afternoon to do the hunt and so will never know if it was any good or not as my only option was to pay for the whole experience again and I didn't want to do that, having paid already. Just as well in hindsight, as there is zero customer support from this company - all my emails have been ignored and I am currently pursuing a refund via my credit card company. Avoid at all costs and pick a downloadable walking tour from a reputable company instead as this outfit is a scam - they take your money and leave you high and dry when you need them. Very disappointing indeed.

What you experienced sounds like an account mismatch issue, where signing in with a different method (phone vs. email) can accidentally create a second account. When that happens, the voucher can appear as already used even though it’s tied to the original login. That’s absolutely not the experience we want for our customers.
We also want to clarify that support is available outside of U.S. hours, but we recognize that not being able to reach someone immediately in that moment made things much worse, and that’s on us to improve. For real time support, you can also use the live chat available on our website.

Very misleading experience
Very misleading experience, all the tasks were generic and had nothing to do with the local area and involved mainly taking selfies or were pointless like "see if you can find 5 different pizza restaurants" in a town that doesn't even have one (not that you would want to waste time looking for 5 pizza restaurants to snap on your phone.)
We thought this was going to be a hunt with a guide or something but no this is purely and app that gives very poorly thought out activities and with zero money going back in to the local economy of the town you are visiting.
Avoid like the plague!

Wenig Spaß für viel Geld
Wow. Keine Ahnung wo überhaupt positive Bewertungen herkommen, aber die Schnitzeljagd die wir gemacht haben war ein kompletter Reinfall. Wir wurden einmal durch die Stadt geleitet und mussten dabei Aufgaben lösen. Wir waren als Familie unterwegs. Die Aufgaben für die Kinder bis 10 waren zu großen Teilen auf Englisch und ansonsten schlecht übersetzt, also für Kinder quasi unlösbar. Ansonsten hatten die Aufgaben wenig mit den örtlichen Gegebenheiten zu tun (macht eine Video auf dem alle Wellenbewegungen machen 🫠) und waren allesamt langweilig und einfallslos. Man merkt, dass nicht vor Ort recherchiert wurde und einfach ein 0815 Schema auf jeden Ort gepresst wird. Spaßfaktor -100. Dafür ganz schön teuer. Sehr enttäuschend und nicht empfehlenswert.

Unsere Erlebnisse sind als selbstgeführte App-Abenteuer konzipiert, die für verschiedene Altersgruppen und Orte funktionieren sollen. Wir verstehen aber sehr gut Ihren Punkt, dass die Aufgaben für Kinder nicht gut zugänglich waren und die Übersetzungen nicht ausreichend geholfen haben. Das sollte so nicht sein, besonders wenn Familien gemeinsam spielen.
Auch Ihr Feedback zur lokalen Relevanz der Aufgaben nehmen wir ernst. Die Idee ist, Orte spielerisch zu entdecken, aber wir sehen, dass es in Ihrem Fall eher generisch und nicht passend zur Umgebung wirkte. Das entspricht nicht dem Anspruch, den wir an unsere Inhalte haben, und wir geben das intern weiter zur Prüfung und Verbesserung.

Achat d'un seul billet pour la ville de Niort...
Impossible de l'utiliser car rien ne fonctionnait sur place. Mon compte bancaire a bien été débité mais je reçois toujours des mails m'invitant à "poursuivre mon achat" car il semblerait que " je n'ai pas payé". Lorsque je veux me désabonner des mails en suivant le lien je tombe systématiquement sur la page 404 ...
Je constate que les avis positifs concernent principalement les USA..
Pour la France, je déconseille cette application .
