Hatten die Tour in Ingolstadt gemacht - völlig unsinnige Fragen, die mit dem Standort nichts zu tun hatten - keine Schnitzeljagd im eigentlichen Sinn - es wurde beworben, dass Kinder miträtseln können - das war nicht der Fall - waren so enttäuscht und gelangweilt, dass wir abgebrochen haben. Wirkte alles in allem wie schlechte KI. Schade um das Geld.

Map is not interactive, it should work with Google maps to take you to each place all you get is a post code so can't even narrow down what you are looking for. Waste of money! Better to just walk around yourself!

Was looking forward to doing a quiz hunt around Richmond, Surrey. We bought our tickets and made our way to the start point, only to find we had to pay over £100 to get into the place where all the clues were. There was nothing mentioned about this prior to choosing the hunt.
I contacted their chat support on the day and a few days after but they have never bothered responding.

Wir haben zwei Tickets gekauft die sich nicht einlösen ließen. Der Support hat so lange geantwortet, wie es um Fragen zum Einlösen ging. Als es schließlich gar nicht funktionierte und ich stornieren wollte kam keine Antwort mehr. Besser nicht buchen!

We were so disappointed
We were so disappointed. The idea of a scavenger hunt is so cool but the app is not user friendly. Before we could even start, It would kick us back to the sign up page repeatedly and we had to contact support. Then once support restarted our hunt, the map showed us all the different places, but not how to get to any of those places. We found two destinations but then the third told us to go all the way back to where we started across town. The destinations were not in any kind of geographical order. We decided to give up because we were not going to continue walking aimlessly around trying to find a dot on a map with no directions. Was a great idea but terrible app. Seeking a refund

Nous avons pris cette activité à Saumur. Très déçus des questions, certaines à répondre en anglais, sans savoir où trouver la réponse ailleurs que sur Google. Pas d'intérêt d'avoir acheté un billet par personne pour avoir des questions du genre "quel est le drapeau de ce pays". Les petits génies ont du développer un algorithme avec l'IA pour créer une activité dans chaque ville sans jamais y avoir mis les pieds, ça se voit.
En plus on ne savait pas qu'il y avait un temps limite, on a flâné et donc pu faire que quelques "énigmes".

We were very disappointed with the Let's Roam app. We purchased the Merano scavenger hunt, and the setup was straightforward. We started playing and were enjoying it, but after a short break to grab something to eat, we couldn't resume the game. No matter what we tried, it simply wouldn't continue.
Customer support wasn't helpful. They initially responded, but eventually stopped replying altogether without resolving the issue.
The experience ended up ruining what should have been a fun day in Merano. I can't recommend the app based on our experience.

Fraudulent website
Fraudulent website! I have attempted to purchase a couple's yearly pass on the 4th July but the website came up with an error code stating there is a problem on their end and to try again which I did. In the end, they debited 8 transactions from my credit card account without any confirmation of purchase. I reached on more than 5 occasions and each time they replied stating it was still open with the billing team and there provided no contacts/ reference whom I can refer to regarding the dispute. Definitely stay away from this website!

Ergänzung (21.08.2026): Der Anbieter reagiert trotz mehrerer Kontaktaufnahmen - auch über den im Kommentar beschriebenen Weg - nicht. ACHTUNG ACHTUNG an alle, die den Anbieter nutzen wollen: die im Impressum angegebene Büroanschrift ist eine UPS Station - möglicherweise ein Betrüger dahinter! Die Möglichkeit, das eigene Geld zurückzubekommen, ist gering bis nicht gegeben!

UPDATE: den Support habe ich natürlich schon VOR der Bewertung hier kontaktiert… war genauso enttäuschend wie die Erfahrung an sich. Standardtext mit Verweis auf die Refund Policy. Das war’s bisher.Nach meiner erneuten Nachricht, in der ich die technischen Probleme genauer beschrieben habe, wurde mir eine erneute Bearbeitung zugesichert. Mal sehen…
Wir hatten eine äußerst enttäuschende Erfahrung.
Die App ist schlecht programmiert und insgesamt sehr benutzerunfreundlich. Die Übersetzungen waren häufig fehlerhaft oder unverständlich, und viele der Fragen, die beantwortet werden mussten, ergaben überhaupt keinen Sinn.
Noch schlimmer war jedoch, dass sich einer unserer Teilnehmer aufgrund eines technischen Problems mit der App nicht einloggen bzw. einchecken konnte. Dadurch waren wir gezwungen, ein zusätzliches Ticket zu kaufen – obwohl der Fehler eindeutig auf Ihr System zurückzuführen war.
Wir haben uns an Ihren Kundenservice gewandt, jedoch wurde uns lediglich mitgeteilt, dass für das ungenutzte Ticket keine Erstattung möglich sei. Das ist für uns in keiner Weise nachvollziehbar, da die zusätzlichen Kosten ausschließlich durch den technischen Fehler Ihrer App entstanden sind.
Wir erwarten, dass Sie diesen Fall erneut prüfen, uns nachvollziehbar erläutern, warum eine Erstattung abgelehnt wurde, und eine angemessene Lösung anbieten. Nach dieser Erfahrung können wir Ihren Service leider nicht weiterempfehlen und werden ihn künftig nicht mehr nutzen.

Not Good
Honestly, not a fun experience at all. It started out okay. I set up a scavenger hunt for my wife on her birthday and then when we tried to go from location to location there was nothing available to find through each destination. The directions kept taking us to peoples houses, we walked for miles with no clear destinations whatsoever, leaving us very unsatisfied. When I approached about getting a refund due to the unsatisfactory they told me I’d receive a notice within 5-10 days of either being refunded my money or getting complementary tickets. I received neither and when I tried to reach back out I was completely ghosted again. I really wanted to enjoy this experience but it was dreadful from the start and I’d highly not recommend using them, especially since the customer service was dreadful. Still holding out hope they get back to me, but I doubt it.

Bloß nicht in Deutschland nutzen
Wir waren mit unseren Kindern in Eisenach unterwegs und als ich mich online nach kinderfreundlichen Aktivitäten erkundigt habe, wurde mir die App empfohlen. Da wir in Saragossa schonmal positive Erfahrungen mit einer digitalen Schnitzeljagd (das war allerdings ein anderer Anbieter) gesammelt hatten, habe ich nicht lange gezögert und das Ticket gekauft. Leider ein Fehler, denn ich kann mich den deutschsprachigen Kritiken hier nur anschließen. Fragen wurden zwar auf Deutsch gestellt, als korrekte Antwort hätte man aber etwas Englisches eingeben müssen. Die Zeit für die einzelnen Stationen war teilweise viel zu schnell rum. Wir sind zum Beispiel auf der Wartburg gestartet und uns war nicht klar, dass man maximal 60 Minuten Zeit hat bis man bei der nächsten Station sein muss. Fazit: Wir sind aus der App geflogen, mussten uns neu einloggen und die Inhalte / Fotos zu den bereits erledigten Stationen waren verloren. Wir konnten die Schnitzeljagd also gar nicht vollenden, was wiederum total frustrierend war. Hinzu kommt, dass mir Let‘s Roam (warum auch immer) 2x Geld abgebucht hat. Für andere Städte (eventuell in den USA?) mag die App brauchbar sein, hier in Deutschland würde ich sie aber niemandem empfehlen!

Wir verstehen, wie frustrierend es gewesen sein muss, dass die Fragen zwar auf Deutsch gestellt wurden, die Antworten jedoch auf Englisch eingegeben werden mussten. Ebenso bedauern wir, dass das Zeitlimit zum Verlust Ihres Fortschritts geführt hat und Sie die Schnitzeljagd dadurch nicht abschließen konnten. Besonders entschuldigen möchten wir uns auch für die doppelte Abbuchung – das sollte selbstverständlich nicht passieren.

Waste of time
The app was clunky/painful and once we got it started it was not a scavenger hunt. It was a quiz with questions aimed at children and not surprise at where it was taking you. It just told you a route up front. Maybe good for families if you can get passed the amount of person details it asks for and access to camera which was not advertised. Would not recommend

Our scavenger hunts are designed to combine trivia, photo challenges, and exploration, but we recognize that this style may not be what everyone expects from a scavenger hunt.
Regarding the permissions, access to features like the camera is only requested so participants can complete optional photo and video challenges. We appreciate your feedback that this could be communicated more clearly before starting the experience, and we'll share your comments with our product team.
