Got it in a week and mounted it on my Origin Live Enterprise-C arm, very easy to install, fortuitously it aligned perfectly with the front edge of the headshell. Set the weight at 1.9g but the sibilence was distracting so upped it to 2.0 which made it tolerable. On a whim I decided to break it in with Bach's organ works, Peter Hurford on Argo. Right from the first needle drop, "Are you kidding me?" If you've been to church you know what an organ really sounds like. This was not like church, it was like cathedral. My wife happened to have a visitor in the front room. I went there to say hi and asked her what she thought. Amazing. Then I lead her to my setup. When she saw the Thorens TD124 mounted in a slate plinth, spinning a vintage record, her eyes bugged out, trying to reconcile the sight with the sound. I mean, it was my system which had taken me a decade to assemble, and I Me Myself was trying to reconcile the sight with the sound. After 30+ hours of break-in, I am convinced this is the best investment I have yet made in this crazy hobby. I have owned many cartridges that cost me much more, but none had given me this level of satisfaction.

Bought the LS10 MK last year. Excellent cartridge. In my system the cartridge delivers a fluid and dynamic sound. At its price point I would say it’s exceptional. I used to swap cartridges in and out (I have several, a couple costing considerable more than the Le son) the Le Son now has permanent residence in my system, it’s that good.
I would also like to commend Gregory at Le son for his excellent customer service. I damaged my cartridge ( my stupidity) and it required a rebuild. Contacted Gregory at Le son who took me through the returns process from the UK to China. The whole process was seamless, repair carried out and back with me in just over a couple of weeks. Repaired cartridge is as new, terrific service at a more than reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The LS-10 Mk Ii is an incredible cartridge at a great price. Super fast shipping to the US. I received mine in 8 days.

There are lots of choices one could make in this price range. I own 2 others, an Ortofon that costs slightly less and a Grado that costs slightly more. The LS-10 Mk II easily bests both of them. It tracks really well- no sibilance. Tonally, it’s as close to perfect as I’ve ever heard, and I’ve been messing with audio systems for 45 years. I finally have the sound in my living room that I’ve been searching for. I’ve owned dozens of cartridges over the years. The LS-10 Mk II is easily the best cartridge I’ve ever owned and one of the best I’ve ever heard regardless of price.

It’s not a cartridge that favors a certain type of music. Classic rock, funk, jazz, classical, EDM, it does it all. And very well. It’s not a cartridge that you’ll use to play your 10 sonic blockbusters- it sounds great with regular garden variety records too. One day I listened to all of my pressings of Jethro Tull’s “Aqualung”- a near mint first US pressing, the Steve Hoffman DCC cut ($$$ now) and the current Steven Wilson remix. The Steven Wilson remix was the winner, and the transparency of the LS-10 allowed me to easily hear the differences.

It was super easy to set up on my Technics SL-1210G. As one reviewer noted, the included stylus guard leaves something to be desired. Just be careful during installation and you’ll be ok. I don’t use a stylus guard otherwise, I lock the arm at the end of each listening session and leave the cueing in the up position while flipping or changing the record. It’s an easy habit to get into and I’ve never damaged a cantilever once I got into the habit. Yes, I have previously- a Dynavector. A bad day for sure.

Sound quality wise, this cartridge is super quiet in regards to groove noise, and there’s no surface noise with ultrasonically cleaned records.

I recently upgraded to the LS10 MKll. The quality is undeniably good- clear highs and robust lows. However my experience with the product had a few hiccups.

Firstly, the stylus guard didn't quite match the cartridge's shape. It's a small detail, but for a product in this class, I expect precision in every aspect. Secondly, the absence of a physical owner's manual in the box was a letdown. While the online specifications are comprehensive, having to go online for reference is inconvenient and detracts from the premium feel of the product.

Installation was straightforward, and the overall build quality is high. However, these oversights in the finer details made the experience less than perfect.

In summary, the LS10 MKII is a strong performer in its price range and I would recommend it for its audio quality. Nonetheless, for those who, like me, value the complete package, it falls slightly short. Four stars for excellent sound but room for improvement in the finer details.

Got this new LS10 MKll cart for my player. Sounds real good, better than old one. Easy to put on, didn't take long. Happy with it.
