We hadden een auto gereserveerd via Booking.com. Op de luchthaven aangekomen, werd ons verteld dat het type auto dat wij hadden geboekt niet meer beschikbaar was. Met excuses voor het ongemak konden we tegen een kleine vergoeding voor de administratieve handeling een andere auto krijgen.
Nietsvermoedend (hele aardige medewerkster) gingen we accoord met een upgrade die achteraf niet 1 euro per dag maar 20 euro per dag zou kosten. We hebben de auto dus 2 keer betaald. Booking ging ons niet helpen want we hadden tenslotte een nieuw contract getekend en Europcar houdt voet bij stuk dat we akkoord zijn gegaan met een upgrade van 20 euro per dag. Rendabel stukje valse voorlichting. Daarbij kwam nog een boete voor het niet vol tanken van de auto. De laatste pomp voor het vliegveld is een bemande pomp. Je mag dus niet zelf tanken. Als je vraagt om een volle tank leveren ze dus geen volle tank zodat je op de luchthaven wordt geconfronteerd met een boete van 25 euro én de ontbrekende liters. Meer mensen hierover gehoord. Het lijkt alsof de pomphouder en de verhuurbedrijven een deal hebben gemaakt. Kortom, een heerlijke vakantie met een zure afdronk.

There is a really bad customerservice with rude people who just hang up the phone! Don’t rent there people it is really a bad place for a rental. Pay some more and get a better company!

Do not use this company. The vehicles on hire are simply defective and when bits fall off you’ll be charged excessive amounts including admin fees . Avoid at all costs !!

The absolute worst! AVOID AT ALL COSTS. they wouldn’t release the car to us as we apparently have the wrong card(?!) and then tried to charge us an extra €250 to put a second driver on. We had to leave after 2hrs with no car and hire an from another company (which had no issue with our cars)

After paying for the car rental, I was then informed in order to pick it up I would need a utility bill dated to the last 8 weeks, and a credit card statement. I don't get any of them physically, only digitally, which aren't accepted. They took my money without explaining the hoops I would need to jump through, then refused to refund me.

Scammers through and through, avoid like the plauge.

Completely agree with Peter. I don’t recommend this company. I had a different issue where the broker stated half the price than what I actually would have to pay at the car hire place. So I declined. Keddy still charged me even though I did not rent a car. The reason was- they claimed- that the hire time had started. If I have to pay double than what I signed up for I should have the option of declining! I got in touch and a nice lady promised help but no answer since and the money is gone.

Mir wurden zusätzliche Kosten in Rechnung gestellt welche nicht auf der Buchungsbestätigung ausgewiesen wurden.
Dazu wurde mir ein überzogener Schaden in Rechnung gestellt... hierzu habe ich nicht mal eine Schadenrechnung erhalten!

NOOIT MEER KEDDY! Pas op aanstaande autohuurders op Schiphol! Keddy is een grote oplichtersbende die uit is op uw geld en alles in het werk stelt om dat voor elkaar te krijgen. Om te beginnen met een krankzinnig hoge borg die je nooit helemaal kunt afkopen. Bij inlevering van de auto op Schiphol gaat een medewerker van Keddy de auto langs met een lampje en een vergrootglas om zo het kleinste krasje op deukje op te sporen. Hij doet daar ongeveer een kwartier over. Een totaal krankzinnig exercitie die ik nooit ergen ter wereld zo ten uitvoer zag brengen en die er uitsluitend op is gericht de klant geld af te troggelen. Vervolgens was ik door omstandigheden op de wegen naar Schiphol niet in staat de auto af te tanken. Ik was bang dat als ik twee minuten te laat zou zijn dat Keddy mij een volle dag huur in rekening zou brengen. Ze vermelden nl het exacte tijdstip op de minuut dat de auto wordt opgehaald en maken er een sport van om vervolgens te kijken of je hem niet een minuut te laat inlevert. De tank was voor driekwart nog vol en aftanken zou voor dit model (Hyundai i10) maximaal zo;n Euro 35 moeten zijn, als het dat al is. Maar nee, Keddy brengt mij Euro 103 in rekening!!! Wat een totaal schandaal. NOOIT MEER EUROPE CAR!! NOOIT MEER KEDDY! PAS OP! OPLICHTERS!!

Escroquerie via rental cars
Tarifs avantageux sur les plateformes de location mais escroquerie à la clé!
Une fois la réservation effectuée, ils valident la disponibilité du véhicule (ce qui bloque le paiement). Puis, on m’appelle via un autre numéro pour m’annoncer que mon véhicule ne sera en fait pas disponible mais qu’un véhicule de la catégorie supérieur est disponible. Des frais supplémentaires seraient alors à ma charge mais je les cite « cela ne devrait pas être un problème puisque ce n’était pas cher au départ ». Pour la location initiale, on me dit que le véhicule ne serait disponible qu’un jour après. Étant d’accord pour décaler le contrat d’une journée, je leur propose alors de faire la modification du contrat mais cela est soit disant impossible de leur côté. Elle m’indique également qu’elle pourrait faire l’annulation sans frais de leur côté, mais qu’il y aurait des frais prélevés par Rental Cars. Elle me demande de passer par rental cars pour faire la modification. Sur rental cars impossible de faire la modification ou même l’annulation de mon côté sans frais (la location étant initialement pour le lendemain).
Je contacte donc rental cars via le chat! Et là je me retrouve face à un SAV au pratique douteuses. On me dit que l’agence Keddy est injoignable et on me propose d’effectuer une nouvelle réservation via lesite rental cars (à mes frais!) et que le remboursement de ma première réservation serait réalisé une fois qu’ils auront réussi à les contacter.
Je refuse.
On me propose alors de me rendre comme prévu à l’agence de location le jour de la réservation et de les appeler moi-même depuis le comptoir pour qu’ils puissent vérifier l’indisponibilité du véhicule!
Mon « interlocutrice de Keddy Paris Nord »me rappelle et me demande d’indiquer à rental cars que c’est moi qui suis indisponible. Je lui réponds qu’il est hors de question que je mente pour couvrir leur erreur (ou plutôt devrais-je dire leur tentative d’escroquerie), que je suis actuellement en contact avec eux via le chat et que j’attends leur retour. Son temps au demeurant sympathique change. Elle me déclare que cela risque d’être compliqué dans ce cas et qu’elle me recontacte dans 15 minutes. Je lui dis que je la rappelle dès que j’ai leur réponse. Ce à quoi elle me répond que cela sera difficile puisqu’ils sont injoignables!
Elle ne rappellera jamais et rental cars mettra fin à la conversation via le chat!

go anywhere near this company. Recently hired a car from them in Tenerife. Did the usual car inspection, without any of the staff there, before we left the airport. I noticed a scratch on the right hand side of the rear bumper, which i noted was included on the vehicle condition form. The car we used stayed put in the same place for the entirety of our stay so we were confident that when we returned it there wouldn't be any problems. When we did return the car a surly staff member pointed out the scratch that I've spoken about above and when i pointed out to her that it was already noted she then proceeded to tell me that it wasn't so i pointed out to her that it states on the form there is scratch to the right hand side, rear bumper. But, in Keddy world left and right are different to the rest of the planet and insisted that their version of opposite sides is correct!
The bottom line is that the existing scratch cost me £120. How they arrived at that figure is still unknown to me. For those of you wondering if i may have become confused about the "damage" I can categorically assure you that i was correct. By the way, when dealing with the resultant paperwork at the Europcar desk there was another customer who had been stung in exactly the same way as i had.
Its obvious now that their business model is based on extracting as much from customers as they can using devious underhand tactics which makes up for their lower advertised prices.
This review is not sour grapes but just to inform others in the hope that they don't fall for the same scam as i foolishly have!
Pay the extra and go to Autoreissen if in Tenerife, they are a great firm to deal with. I went against my better judgement to save some money but got my fingers well and truly burnt. PLEASE,PLEASE AVOID THIS DISGRACEFUL SHAM OUTFIT.

Nach Buchung war das Auto bereits bezahlt später wurde fast der gleiche Summe noch mal abgebucht. Voller Betrug oder Machenschaft es erfolgt nun .Anzeige.

Keddy are the worst company to hire a car from AVOID AVOID AVOID, i upgraded to platinum cover and they still wanted an £840 deposit along with multiple proofs of identity and proof of electoral role ect ect ect, they take what should be a very simple process and make it unbearable. I cancelled and lost my initial payment.

I went to focus hire and picked up a car instantly with ZERO deposit, no credit card, no proof of address, just a debit card and a driving licence. This is how it's should be and if it's not find a company that makes you feels valued and not like a liability.

I can make a list what went wrong, unfortunately most car rental companies are the same.

Mauvaise expérience avec Keddy / Europcar.
Réservation via la filiale Keddy d'Europcar (en partenariat avec EasyJet) du Jeudi 16h30 au Vendredi 17h, je reçois un contrat EasyJet de 2 jours avec 250km/j, OK, ça me va bien, je serais serein si j'ai un peu de retard et 500km me convient parfaitement.
Arrivé à l'agence Europcar de Nice, on me dit que la réservation est pour 1 jour seulement, que le contrat est jusque 17h le vendredi.
Je me dépêche et restitue la voiture à 16h24 aprés avoir parcouru 495km.
Aujourd'hui Europcar m'envoie une facture de 147€ pour 245km supplémentaires.

J'ai envoyé une réclamation en ligne à Europcar et je compte sur l'annulation de cette facture...

Pratique commerciale décevante !

Nous avons effectué plusieurs locations ces deniers mois chez keddy (Europcar) via le site BSP Auto.

Les prix sont bas mais le service est bien plus bas que les prix !!

La caution n'est libérée qu'après un mois alors que le site Europcar (incluant Keddy) spécifie bien 4 jours maximum lorsqu'il n'y a rien à signaler sur le véhicule rendu (ce qui était le cas).

c'est ce que l'on appelle une escroquerie en bande organisée.

Deuxièmement, le montant de la caution (sur les CGV du loueur Europcar (keddy inclu) est de 500€. Ils prennent réellement 800€, cherchez l'arnaque.

D'autre part, lorsque vous prenez une assurance rachat de franchise à 0€, la caution doit tomber (toujours d'après leurs CGV) à 100€ !! Deuxième escroquerie

Fuyez cette société et imposez l'application des CGV en téléchargeant la partie gestion des cautions sur europcar.fr et politique-depot-garantie et imposez-la à votre loueur, n'hésitez pas à être ferme, ils doivent appliquer leurs propres CGV.

Dans notre cas, nous nous retrouvons avec 1600€ bloqués, Europcar nous affirme qu'il ne sont pas responsable et que c'est avec notre banque qu'il faut voir. Notre banque vient de nous confirmer le contraire.

Des escrocs

VORSICHT! Sie bieten Ihnen am Schalter diverse Versicherungen und Zusatzschutz an und schreiben TROTZ Ablehnung die kostenpflichtigen Positionen (z. B. Road Assistance) auf den Mietvertrag! Mitarbeiter war am Schalter total freundlich und smart und hat mich im Beisein meiner Ehefrau BESCHISSEN! Never ever!

Our flight was delayed 45 minutes and we arrived at Belfast EUROPCAR desk for our Keddy car pick up at 9.45 pm, only the office was closed. We had to book another car with another company. Keddy refused a refund because we had not arrived at the stated time.

3 Monate nach Rückgabe wurden fast 1000€ abgebucht. Wegen eines klar bei Übernahme des Mietwagens vorliegenden Schadens.

Üble Abzocke mit nachträglich abgebuchten Beträgen!! Erst 216 Euro, dann auf 121 korrigiert (??), weil wir angeblich eine Roadassistence gebucht hätten. Quatsch, wir sind ADAC Mitglieder. Man bekommt auch keine Kopie des Mietvertrages, sonst hätten wir das sofort gesehen. Die lassen einen ganz schnell viel unterschreiben und händigen einem nichts aus außer einem Schadensprotokoll. Nie wieder!!!
