This are the worst brokers to deal with. If you are thinking to sell your business with them, please for the love of your business and your finances don't.
Their replies to enquiries take 3-5 working days, they don't give you the feedbacks just some general emails. When you call the office no one answers and th elist continues. I would like to know what eaxctly their management is doing to improve their services.

We had been approached many times to sell our business but the approach from KBS was different; they had actually researched our company and made it personal.
We decided to go ahead with a sale and as expected this took over a year to find the right fit. Andrew Dodd was our advisor and he was very patient as we turned down several good offers for different reasons. Finally he introduced us to a wonderful Swedish investor who was the perfect fit. He negotiated a good deal for us all and once initially agreed it was completed in under four months. KBS arranged Mackrell Solicitors to write the agreement and this was also quick and straightforward.
Some months later we remain pleased with the deal and would recommend KBS to anyone serious about selling their business.

I found dealing with Jacob Lord, a very professional experience, he was very engaging in our conversations as well as very knowledgeable which really helped in all our discussions.

We engaged KBS to market and manage the sale of a controlling interest in our companies. They were professional and value adding from the beginning. The marketing material and detailed information packs they produced were accurate and very well presented. They did a lot of research into our industry sector to identify potential buyers we had not even heard of and supported the negotiations and the conclusion of the deal 100%.
Good to deal with and responsive throughout. Would highly recommend.

I had been trying to arrange a call with a seller from a security guarding company, and I was in contact with a Corporate Executive at KBS. After more than 10 requests, he finally suggested a video call with the vendor, but no one showed up at the scheduled time. He then blamed me for the situation. I sent him proof of our email exchanges to clarify what was agreed upon, but he became very angry with me for providing that evidence. I have the full email trail and can share it to support my case. I also requested to reschedule the call, but he hasn't responded, likely due to his frustration with the situation.
The figures in MI is also all wrong as per signed accounts.

I was initially nervous about selling my business, but KBS reassured me with their support. After providing all the necessary information (which was a lot to go through), we paid £4,800 in October 2022. However, since then, things have been a huge disappointment. In over 2 years, we've had just one meeting with a potential buyer, and when I expected KBS to attend and provide support during the meeting, they refused, claiming it was too far to travel. I was left to go alone.

When we asked why there had been no progress, KBS insisted there was nothing wrong with the business. They claimed they had marketed it well and sent additional info to interested parties, but ultimately, there were no serious buyers. My partner also tried selling his business through them, but he received no interest whatsoever after paying a few thousand pounds.

The lack of results is concerning, and it makes me question whether KBS is genuinely focused on finding good buyers or if they’re more interested in the big upfront fees they collect. I did reach out to them to push them to focus on their searches. Ultimately in 25 months they have contacted only 1028 targets (just over 40 contacts per month). I'm quite sure the monthly mailing list accounted for most of those - but in effect each business they contacted cost us £4.67. The determining factor was "we didn't fit with active acquirers criteria". They gave us notice today that they were stopping. Either way, I’m not impressed, and it’s a shame for all parties involved. Would not recommend.
