He strongly encouraged me to try as many sitars as I needed, in order to arrived at the right choice for me. I was there for well over an hour. Sitar is Like New! I brought mine in after not having been played for a few years. It was ready the next day, with new strings, perfect tuning, and looking as if brand new, it was so well cared for. I bought a new gig bag and learned some new things about the instrument that I hadn't noticed before, too. Everyone was so very welcoming and helpful, both downstairs and upstairs in the music shop. We had a great experience getting our 2 harmoniums serviced and repaired at Kala Kendar on 1440 Gerrard St. E., Toronto. We wish we had found this store and Mickey years ago - it would have saved us so much time and money. Mickey is extremely knowledgeable and was able to identify exactly what was wrong with each harmonium. He gave an annual service to one and a calibration service for the other at reasonable prices, and had them ready on time, and they now sound great. They also build and sell new harmoniums, and the quality is much higher than ones we've seen elsewhere.
