The worst company ever!! Literally cancel all your flights and then you have to claim back a nights stay … that takes ages!
Don’t seem to care about their customer service either
Fly with someone else if you can.. these companies need to be boycotted!!

I CAN'T PUT ZERO. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, IT'S A SHAME!!!

3 times I booked a flight with them. Three times it was CANCELLED over 3 months.

The first one, I received a text 2 hours before to let me know (the replacement flight was taken afterwards).

The second flight, I waited 45' in front of the boarding gate, seeing the departure time getting later and later.

Flight shifted to 9:25pm, then 10:10 instead of 8:55 and finally cancelled.

The customer service made me sleep in a hotel and take a flight the next morning at 9:15. AND GUESS WHAT?!

That flight was cancelled just after I was given it... I have the impression that this company doesn't give a damn about its customers.

No matter how many excuses they give, it's a horror to have to deal with this...!!!! And looking at the comments, I see that this is common for them.

The various reasons: crewing-engine requirements.

Each time, the replacement flight was made with Virgin Australia and went very well.

Note also, for the check-in, 1 person only for the whole Jetstar company.

Another point, I wanted to potentially change my second flight, by putting it earlier, 60 dollars of change fees, almost the price of the ticket (74 dollars). 🤡🤡🤡

A real waste of time, don't travel with them, REX-VIRGIN AUSTRALIA-QANTAS are much better.

Zero charge for name-change costs.
OK, so I haven't flown with Jetstar yet, so we'll see how that goes, but:
I didn't check the auto-complete entry on my PC, and ended up with my name on my booking being my nick-name and not the full name on my passport. So hands up, this was my fault entirely. I'd booked through FlightCentre, but contacted Jetstar direct. Working through the chat line which was prompt and efficient, they rectified my mistake absolutely free of charge. I'd booked Virgin for the return trip because the times were more convenient (Sydney-Perth return). Virgin, on the otherhand, have no online chat, so I rang them. They referred me back to the travel agent and after several phone calls it transpired that Virgin charge $44 for a name change and $89 to re-issue the ticket. $133! So, 5-0 to Jetstar. I won't be using Virgin again.

Simple things are not done. I like Jetstar, but why, why don't they list all my flights in my customer area?
I have about 8 flights on a long holiday in Australia. I don't know which flights I've booked yet and which I haven't.
And then when I tried to write to them to let them know about this simple suggestion, in their complaints and compliments section, there was no possible way to contact them. Even for a helpful suggestion!
Every other airline lists all the flights you've bought in your customer area. (You also can't download the app if you are either overseas or have an iphone, because I've tried and it isn't there).
So I have to find all the booking numbers to find one flight! I want to see all my flights listed but that doesn't seem to be a feature of their customer area. How difficult would THAT be? Not very I suspect.
Instead, Jetstar customers have to find some other way to see what flights they have purchased on Jetstar.
My itineraries didn't arrive until the day after I bought them. This is so unnecessary.

We booked direct flights from Gold Coast to Perth. When checking in we found we were having a stopover in Melbourne for 2 hours. Thats ok...only 2 hours.
On the return flight however, we had a 7 hour stopover in Melbourne. 7 hours of wandering aimlessly around the airport with our luggage in tow for 5 of them. We contacted Flight Centre & were told there was nothing to be done about it. This also caused extra expense for food at the airport. Not happy....and will never use Jetstar again.

This company should be investigated by the Government. They cancel my flight and I find they are selling my seats at 3 times the cost I payed to others customers and my family including 2 small children 3 and 6 have to travel at 10pm to Bali which is 12pm Bali time tomorrow night. This requires Government to investigate these problems and I will be letting my Federal Member know what is happening ASAP. This is a disgrace and it is not the only time I have had a problem. I will NEVER use Jetstar again after they cancel my flight to Melbourne at 3.00am by text for my daughter's wedding in April. I love Qantas but not Jetstar. Beware

I had booked two tickets months in advance for a return trip between Sydney (NSW) and Launceston (Tasmania) at a price of A$ 438.00. Then my friend was unable to go due to work schedule conflict, so I tried to change his ticket to another friend online and their AI Bot said I could change the ticket but, there would be a fee. I expected perhaps $50 fee but no, it was A$ 730.00! As a new ticket for the same trip was now A$ 530.00, how can they justify changing a name in the ticketing system as incurring that sort of expense? it was still a month till the flight, so I refuse to cancel the ticket, but will never fly Jetstar again after our December tickets are used! Oh! and they have rescheduled both flights once already, but apparently they don't have to give customers the right of refusal....talk about a one way deal in their favour!

Not even worth 1 star for the review. They keep annoucing the delay 4 times in a row (5 hours). I would not recommend this airline.

Worst airline experience I have ever had. First we get to the airport to find they have cancelled our flight. Unable to get on any other flights as they had no others available. Booked into a new flight the following day. Book the taxi to a make sure we have plenty of time just to get an email that they have put the new flight back by an hour, meaning we now have to wait around the airport. They didnt bother to tell us about the flight change until midnight so we didnt see. it until we wake up at 4am. Jetstar you are a disgrace.

My flight from Perth to Melbourne was scheduled to leave at 9.25am so arrived at the check in counter at the recommended 2 hours before take off, to be informed by the lady on the desk that the flight schedule had been put back to 11:50. So no message/email from Jetstar to it's customer regarding this change. After checking in my bag, I then checked the schedule again at another customer service desk, and was informed the flight was now scheduled to depart at 12.30. After a couple of hours I again checked the schedule, and the flight had been changed again to 1.30. As I am typing this review I see that it has been put back again to 1.40 departure. I am fully expecting that the next change will be a cancelation of the flight altogether.
It is now clear to me that Jetstar is treating it's customers with contempt, and is quite ok with keeping them waiting for several hours if that suits their scheduling.
Finally boarded the flight and after a long wait the plane started to reverse out, only to go back in and stop. The captain apolagised to the passengers, telling us that the ground staff had not filled the potable water tanks, so another delay by Jetstar.
I am also wondering about Jetstar's safety standards, after noticing the seat in the isle opposite me had come apart at the bottom. There was a bag of screws next to it, so I am guessing someone was suppose to repair the seat but run out of time (or could not be bothered). See the attached photo that I took of the broken part.
My big regret is that I did not fly with Virgin Airways, which is rated by Canstar well above Jetstar and Quantas for Customer satisfaction, which includes in flight service, keeping to schedule and price
My hope is that some other airlines start flying in Australia again, so we have some alternative to Jetstar and Quantas
Jetstar is now only providing a third rate, third world service to it's Australian domestic customers.

Jetstar is the worst airline. And a disgrace to Australia. They are on a revenue raising mission and they weigh your carry on baggage to the gram. Do not trust this airlines and do not fly with them.

My ongoing flight was cancelled so called jetstar to rearrange to another destination they forced me to upgrade my tickets then wanted to charge me more than half the money again in 2 separate transactions, at yet another cost to me. The customer agent was rude and spoke over me at one point I thought I was talking to a bot Avoid avoid avoid

I paid extra for premium seats. without telling us they changed the airline to a Dreamliner, which no longer had premium seats but business. So we were sat in normal economy. We wouldn't have minded if we DIDNT pay for premium. But we did. And the food we paid for was crap. Not even a refund for sitting us in normal economy after paying premium. Contacted customer service and no response. As per usual.

Worst airline in Australia cancel booking with no concern and destroy a holiday you have been planning for 2 years

I would have to say DO NOT use this airline if you need to rely on getting somewhere. They cancelled my flight from Cairns to Brisbane, as I arrived at the airport (2 hours notice) around midday. They couldn't offer me any other flights that day, so told me I was being sent to a hotel, for which I had to pay the taxi fares...currently trying to work out how I claim these back, which again is a nightmare.
They gave us $30 each (approx £17) for food and drink, which is an absolute joke, as it didn't cover anything on the main menu, with a drink, let alone something for breakfast the next morning.
The only option we were given for the next day was to fly Cairns to Melbourne around 6am and the fly Melbourne to Brisbane arriving that evening. This would have meant missing a family gathering, which is why we went to Oz in the first place.
They then offered us a flight to the Gold Coast, which we took and our son had a 4 hour round trip to pick us up.
DO NOT USE JETSTAR!!!

Jetstar cancelled our flight at the airport, we had 7 days holiday & the next option to fly was 3 days later.
We had to cancel all our arrangements & pay penalties.
Last time I'd go with them.
Joyce needs to take less pay & use it to hire the staff back.

Please don’t fly with JetStar. The amount of times this Airlines has cancelled my flight few hours before take off is just insane. The amount of money you will use on rebooking hotels, car rentals is just not worthy and will ruin your plans. Fly with a more trustworthy airline and pay the extra bucks. Your welcome

Has been confirmed that refund would be made in 14 days, however it has been 3 months and still nothing. After broken promise twice, they said now it's with finance department and no exact time of payment as yet.

The costumer service and asistanst in the Melbourne Airport were really rude. They try to change me to another flight, when I was in perfect timming. They charge crazy prices for lugage. Money money. Horrible feeling and experience with this company. I dont recommend. Fly with another company, please.

Brilliant service. Ayres rock to Sydney tonight. Michelle the flight manager was brilliant. Would recommend. Comfortable flight.
