everyone seems really friendly was always nervous about starting the gym because i dont know what im doing but havnt met anyone there who has had a problem with showing me how to use equipment and there is zero judgement, all round positive experience.

It would be beneficial to have more fitness classes and the gym during peak hours is extremely busy - you cannot get on some machines, there's queues.
The fitness classes I have been to have been really good though.

Even though JD gyms are quite a…
Even though JD gyms are quite a distance from my home the size of the gym, the atmosphere and the equipment in there all got my attention.
I’ve tried many gyms over my years of training but this has to be by far the best.
For the first, the size of the gym itself is large enough to house everything that a gym needs. From free weights to machines, cardiovascular equipment to CrossFit, studios etc it has the lot.
To me atmosphere is what keeps you in a gym regardless of equipment. If there isn’t a really good training feel to the gym then you’re not going to last very long as a member. You need the right atmosphere to keep your motivation and my first impression of the gym is that there are many motivated individuals training there already which is also important. A top training environment requires motivated people to look up to and aspire to become. Goals can only be accomplished I think when others around you are training hard and getting into the best shape of their lives it drives you to do the same. I felt that within the first couple of days training there and feel that your gym has the potential to give me the body I’ve always wanted.
All the equipment is top notch gear as well. From dumbbells to whole machines. It’s all the best equipment I’ve seen so far in any gym. I love it. It even has a couple of punch bags by the deadlift and squat section which is something we used to joke about when we were bodybuilding back in the day because when you’ve just done a heavy set of squats or a gruelling set of deadlifts you need something to punch afterwards to take away the pain hahaha. Like I said, it has everything.

Cancelling membership after two weeks
Cancelling membership after two weeks, gym is always too busy and late in the day the smell is unbearable around the treadmill section. Equipment and gym are great but too limited as too many people

Not sure yet .....
I've only been a few times but not sure if I'm enjoying the actual set up at edge lane is very compact and everything seems to be very close together layout not great, thought it would be bigger but its not so feel a bit uneasy especially as I've never been to this one and didn't know where anything was. And its always busy and have to wait for machines and alot not working.Going to give the classes a try and see if I feel differently.
