JD Gyms - Leeds North Arvostelua 

Good gym. All kit in

This gym is convenient from home and 24 hours.Thats pretty much the only plus.
Machines are constantly broken,there are dumbells thats have been missing for nearly a year,not enough cable attachments,deadlift platforms are deformed making it very hard to actually lifting correctly.
The only Time you will see that gym looking tidy is 2 a.m once a month when the manger stays over and put everything away so he can take pictures for his bosses but then the rest of the month looks like a bull has ramped through the place.Not like when Xercise4less was open, that place was spotless and all weight where is the correct places. Even found a dumbell in the toilets once.was either trying to be stolen or someone was taking training very seriously whilst dropping the kids off.
NEEDS a proper refurb and QUICKLY.

I come to JD every morning between 4:30am and 5am.
I spend the first 20 minutes putting away equipment and weights from the following day! I’m getting really frustrated by this! The equipment needs some good attention lots of cables stick just a little oil might help it along?
If the gym wasn’t convenient for me at the moment I would come in here.
I’ve been into the gym at various times of the day and I don’t ever see equipment put away. I find the cardio equipment is never cleaned I see members wiping down the handles or front screens but I haven’t witnessed any cleaning being done.
Water bottles and drinks are left around on the floor in the changing rooms.

I’ve trained in many gyms but I’ve found this the worst kept gym!

Come JD sort it out this could be a great gym.

Equipment is broken frequently by disrespectful users & despite replies on here saying they are fixed straight away, this is untrue in most cases (back row machine broken for well over a month). Weights are left on the floor & equipment, not put back on the racks provided (in most cases right next to the equipment). The gym and changing rooms are filthy, lights and 90% of treadmills are turned off at 21:30, or as they say “having a power nap” can you not afford to pay the electricity bill? Manager is useless & even staff can’t be bothered to put their weights back when they use equipment themselves!

Sort it out, it’s shameful. I’d even be willing to pay more if stuff actually worked and it was kept clean!

Your “exceptional turnaround times” that you claim to pride yourself on are laughable, they have never been good & have only become worse since the current manager took over.

You never encourage members to put weights back & as I highlighted in my earlier review, your own staff members fail to put them back (even when they go around doing their checks & sign the sheet to say they have done so). I find it amusing that you have tried to belittle me and a couple of other members on here by suggesting that we are struggling putting weights back, when this in-fact is not the case.

You also failed to answer why you feel it appropriate to turn off treadmills & lights in the gym after 21:30? Do you charge a cheaper membership after this time because you are offering a reduced service?

It’s a shame to see that you have taken posters down asking people to leave a review, although judging by the reviews that people did leave, it was probably a smart idea :)

JD ....STOP BEING SO TIGHT. N clean up n refurb whre needed ESP NORTH LEEDS !! proper shambolic ....any of the gyms are great to begin with then .... everything falls to bits or is filthy and never fixed or replaced .why are JD so tight???

As a long term member of JD Leeds north I am absolutely disgusted at the rude a bad manner customer service from some of the personnel trainers at this gym. If they don’t start showing the members respect I will no longer be recommending this gym.

My local gym.. can’t go wrong excellent value for money 5 star
