JD Gyms - Birmingham Arvostelua 

I like JD Gym i used to JD one year before i returned back 15/11/2025 but the only think i want to say is some of the staff are not help full when you need help or ask something.

So much better then the other gyms . Pure was so smelly and JD never 5*

I can’t access the gym I can’t log into my account to be able to use the qr code to get into the gym and whenever I call the gym nobody answers at all!

It's ok not bad but should be better if women has a separate room.

Shawer room too much smells .and dirty .
No cleaner was there.made me sick. No went any where.
. I am cancel my membership. New town Birmingham. Some machines are broke.

Excellent equipment and very friendly atmosphere

The shower place in the women only area smells so so so bad that the locker room smells bad as well. Please put that into consideration. Also, the only women cardio room gets humid sometimes, please adjust the air conditioner based on that. Thank you.

Gym is absolutely ok with a lot of variations machines but in my opinion what is the most minus for it is that nobody is putting the weights back in place and at some point is very annoying and it looks like a mess.

I joined JD Gym Birmingham UK once again with the hope of a better experience.
The regular yoga classes was my main interest.
I wanted to relax by using sauna and showers.
It’s been a huge disappointment as the toilets were all unflushed. The changing rooms were very busy with clothes and belongings on all benches and hooks.
The showers were dirty and the tiles above the showers were exposed and ladies were waiting for showers and again ladies clothes were on hooks and on floor.
The sauna felt dirty and the wood was old and felt in need of a clean and refurb.
I felt dirty as I leaned against the wooden interior and came home to realise I have picked up a fungal infection on the back of my shoulder/ upper back.
A week later I’m still using anti fungal cream and antihistamines to clear the infection caused by the dirty sauna and showers and whole area for changing and toilets too.
I contacted the customer service by email as I was already having issues accessing the gym as the app wouldn’t scan me in or out of gym entrance. I’ve had no reply.
The price had risen too.
The parking is also an issue at yoga class times as most times last year I couldn’t find parking in car park or on outside road.
As I mentioned I came for the yoga classes and had issues since I joined which is still an issue.
It’s a huge gym and the whole sauna and shower area needs to be upgraded to meet the needs of the members. Have strict guidelines to maintain hygiene and also reflect the price increase.
You can’t increase the price and lower the hygiene and cleanliness.
Car park should have cctv and be available for gym members.
My car was damaged in the car park and staff said the area wasn’t covered by cctv.
The staff are friendly yet it seems like there aren’t enough members to cover all the duties. There seems to be different people and not able to manage the volume of members and queries.
There are fundamental issues in the ladies area
Cleanliness
Hygiene
Parking
Scanning

People in there with headphones on shouting and smashing weights down consistently

great gym great facilities but only issue i have are the toilets and shower. the showers are not blocking the whole person (95% privacy). toilets be stinking and blocked up by people.not enough cleaners.

The showers and sauna are unhygienic and poorly maintained

The new refit is also really good and I was very impressed with how quickly they extended the ceiling so we could continue to use the stepper on 3rd floor.

Special the place stinks, especially the changing rooms and the sauna room. the roof of the ladies on the ground floor is damaged. The toilets stink everytime I come.

The gym itself is alright

It’s okay if you are on a budget or if you live closer to the gym.

I am a doctor. I train, participate at this gym with the group classes. Big shout out to Yasmin on the LBT class. The movements, stances (planks & seated chairs) she gets the team into has far far reaching underlying health benefits than even she could imagine (especially blood pressure sufferers). The findings are backed by research papers on 16000 sufferers papers and it is well documented (e.g bbc news website). Well done staff. Keep up the great work.

Edem is a fabulous addition to the team. It was my first time going to his Step and Dance Fit class yesterday and just wanted to mention how great the class was.

With the new women’s area and Edem’s new classes it’s a breath of fresh air to JD GYM. Combined with friendly staff such as Yasmin who is always on hand to help and Hannah’s amazing Body Pump classes, the recent changes have made this a better gym.

increased the monthly charge but close certain parts of the gym at different times meaning some workouts have to be cancelled. new machines come in and a week later they are out of order?? this is what im paying 30 a month for.

Love the new ladies section, so clean and organised !

It’s a really nice gym, although it can get very busy. I use the women’s only section and I find it unfair the fact that we don’t have all the equipment there to use and that we have to wait long periods of time to use a certain piece of equipment because someone else is using it.
